It's been discussed a lot in this thread over the years (and more often than not to the point where other posters start whinging about the thread being jacked by the arguments, so I'm being vague here), but many people - self included- think there are at least a couple of LGBT members in BTS, possibly several, and that they confront it regularly in their music. All theories, of course, but they're consistent in their messaging.

I am HR, certified and everything. Do not trust HR. In the end despite our best efforts and personal beliefs we are 100% just doing what the company asks us to, and there's no recourse. They are perpetrators of the company's values, no more, no less. A company culture with a crappy approach to sexual harassment will have an HR that protects that culture. For that reason I prefer very small companies, it's easier to know what you're dealing with. More on topic: Randomly was listening to Seventeen this week and think they're adorable, haven't paid attention to much about them here before; has Hoshi been talked about at times?

Yay NCT list! Love their music, still learning the individuals, looking forward to it. On some complaining a couple of pages back: I swear this place turns into a 'Stop Discussing things I'm not Interested in/that aren't how *I* want to discuss it!" pile-on every few pages, which is funny, because it takes up at least as much room as the discussions people are offended at and going after. The thread moves REALLY quickly and stuff gets buried within hours - why not just let people discuss what they'd like and stick to the conversations you care about? It's not difficult. Clearly, not everyone approaches this of "Which male idols do you think are gay?" question the same, and that's okay. Until there's 'rules', why is it such a big deal? And on the "NOOO not more BTS! ARGH the ARGUING" point, here's why BTS comes up so much: They're the biggest thing going at the moment in kpop, by a lot They have put out an astounding amount of unscripted content over the last 5+, much more than any other, hell, band from anywhere, and it gives us tons to work with. Thousands of hours. There's a lot of solid receipts that at least (minimum) a couple of members are LGBT and barely in the closet The original members/spokespeople have made it clear multiple times they are supporters of LGBT rights, and even suggested members may prefer boyfriends (Open to interpretation) Their music has - many times - been easy to read contextually as speaking about the struggles of being in the closet, being gay in a conservative society, or while famous Their interactions are often far beyond 'sus' due to their extreme level of inner-group intimacy and skinship is pretty fascinating and interesting to parse; if that suggests attraction or just a band of bros who can't keep their hands off each other is a legit question The fandom is so huge the amount of people who aren't comfortable with the idea of particular members not being straight is also sizeable, so they're coming in to argue such Maybe there needs to be a "Are members of BTS gay?" pinned thread to separate it out. *shrug* A somewhat serious suggestion. But also, maybe there should be less policing of each other's conversations and just engaging or not based on interest and something valid to say without generalized criticism, self included. If you don't like it, move on. On topic, I LOVE Jo Kwon after being introduced in this thread, his music is fun and his image is delightful (and his makeup always on-point). Can't wait to see what he does when he leaves the military. A year and a half isn't a long time, but some things really have changed.

That was really moving. Things do seem to be changing slowly but surely; I hope it continues and more idols speak out.

Oh, of course! What a mess, I think it could be a complete disaster! (What happens if you break up AHHHHHH) But one could also argue that because of their schedule, travel, need to keep out of the tabloids and massive fame, seeing someone outside the group, with anything near regularity and as a massively famous person in a non-LGBT tolerating country, would be incredibly hard as well. Think of the convenience of having your relationship already walled in and safe within the community of your group and agency, especially if your bandmates and company are tolerant and even supportive. But I don't think one scenario is more likely than the other, because people and relationships are hella messy more often than not - only certain personality types take logic and risk management into account when they're making relationship and sex decisions, even professionals like BTS, which gives us all the crazy fodder that feeds celebrity gossip and the break up of groups, say like with E'Dawn and Hyuna. (or Justin Bieber not signing a pre-nup HOW CAN YOU BE SO STUPID FFS okay sorry but still wow, so dumb) People, never not impressively cray when it comes to sex and love. Yes, the risk is just different! and that's especially a lot to ask of teens and twenty-somethings.

While I also identify as bisexual, I just feel like pansexual describes me and who I'm attracted to and able to connect with better *shrug*. It's nothing more than preference.
