Add Thailand thanks to Bangkok 48 or GMMTV dramas boom

Was thinking more specifically for songs in Mandarin and the effect it’d have on AM playlists etc. But not going lie i have enjoyed a Thai language album by Montonn Jira.

I also wonder how far CCP will take banning certain looks. Will they take it all the way to “here is a list of official haircut style you can choose from” etc.

I've been watching a Netflix series called '13 Reasons Why' (people may or may not have heard of it); one of the central plotlines is a male student raping his best friend's girlfriend. Having watched this, I find the second worst kind of criminal in the world with no chance of redemption has to be a rapist.. For me, rape itself is forcefully stealing someone's intimacy, therefore a part of their soul, for their own entertainment. The act of it is just repulsive, inhumane and so violent that it's borne out of monstrosity, that I think it's impossible that any person can be capable of such monstrous act. I sincerely hope that Kris Wu gets all that he deserves; every second of every minute of every day for the rest of his life. It isn't even a petty-something, like smoking weed or marijuana, this is just god-awful. If I were his fan, I would be disgusted and ashamed that I'd ever thought of liking the guy. He has brought eternal shame to his family and friends, to his company, to his country. I mean, this guy was an idol and to turn out that people have given the spotlight to this beast gives me gooseflesh.

Heard it put one way that survivors of rape don't have the luxury of being able to leave the crime scene, its their body.

Conviction rate is super duper high in China like 99.6% or something so he's pretty much a goner. I'm positive he's dumped by his backers so Chinese media is now on the flip side. He actually had massive support previously and survived many past scandals, most of them in relation to his relationship with young girls. He's been known to be messy with sex and only go for young impressionable girls since 2016 or earlier but somehow could still land gigs after gigs.

I wish those people hadn’t let his behaviour get a pass. Whilst I didn’t like him in EXO I did like some of his releases. I was low-key suspicious of him after seeing one of his mvs, expected drug taking. But my silly ass still briefly supported him and never foresaw what all these rumours are suggesting.

My only reason for wishing they are rumours because of the victims and victims so young and they went through. Would like to like in a different reality where they didn’t go through what they’ve been through. But if found true then I want everything that be thrown at him as his punishment. If death penalty was a possibility I’d be okay with it as long as the evidence was beyond deniable. The victims need that for closure. Hopefully the identities of victims regardless of age won’t be leaked.

Anyone that was an enabler also need to be punished properly, no scapegoats or fall guy will be tolerated.

Honestly, after what happened to Fan Bingbing, Chinese celebrities have no choice but to toe the party line in a big way. The CCP has become increasingly paranoid and controlling, not to mention aggressive, in how they punish anyone who doesn't declare loudly their support of the motherland. China's leader is paranoid about losing control. Look at what's happening in Hong Kong. They arrest and deport to the mainland those they feel supports democracy or independence.

I think Lay and other c-idols understand what was being asked of them if they wanted any career in China whatsoever. That they would have to devote part of their careers to being propaganda tools. Not saying Lay is a saint, but im not sure any of these kids had a whole lot of choice. That's how dictatorship works: it limits choice to one option and rules by fear and intimidation.

Agree with this. Chinese stars doing the work of the CCP could easily be a hostage situation as much as it could be a personal choice of the individual.

For me with the tiny cameo in tempo and 3 years after that has basically turned EXO into OT8. It’s really too little too late and this is from someone who loved EXO-M more than EXO-K.

Melon is same lol, honestly think both of them as greedy at companies if one of them was more understanding this wouldn't happen.

    All companies are greedy.

Even if it wasn’t for the Apple ecosystem that I’ve already bought into I chose AM since they pay the artist a little bit better per stream or download. I considered tidal but I don’t think my hard wear for playing music is of a quality that can justify that price difference.

  6. So today I had time and waited for their live performance. While waiting I can to realise that their live vocals are in a league of their own for quality and also volume. It’s been many years since I’ve done anything like this. Each member is able to cut through all the noise is the instrumentals and be heard. Some groups the main vocalist wouldn’t even make the cut for a lead or sub vocalist in DC.

wait so these people scream equality and no racism yet they have a problem with a person dating someone of a different skin color? so you can only date people of your own? smh we're back to segregation again

comments like this give me faith that not everyone has drank the kool aid even though there has been a trend for this kind of thing along with 'safe spaces for (insert intersectionality bonus points group)' which basically a revamped segregation.
