    As long as the contract doesn't get extended I'm fine with AQY doing whatever the hell they want at the point tbh. EDIT: I mean, there's already so much shady stuff going on, what's a little member-number shakeup at the end? *shrug* Like I know a lot fans love the bonds that were formed in IP, but my YH-biased ass lives for the easy already-established us-against-the-scary-entertainment-industry rapport within the company groups. Plus it's easily apparent that at least a some of the trainees are very much looking forward to debuting with their company group -- I mean, look at WZY repping his group, HMB&QF mentioning each other every elimination, and then almost every YH member's speech in the last episode. Also, YueHua debut when?

The push completely flopped for me. like I can see why others have taken a liking to him, but even before all the tea came a-spilling all I thought was that he was another pretty cute kid in a sea of cute kids; his charisma didn't particularly draw me in. It's not like he orchestrated the whole thing, so there's no particular sense of ire though. The controversy is just going to be something that hangs over CLN and generate negative reactions, just like FCC's family background. If either of them are cut out for the entertainment business, they'll have garnered fans on their own merit and be a-okay.

    I'd thought it'd only extend to the editing department, but I guess in a game of 'how low can you go', AQY has me thoroughly beat. Yikes. IMO fandom stuff should stay in the fandom. It's one thing if the idols themselves intentionally or accidentally stumble across it themselves, and another to have it forced onto their consciousness, in person. in terms of milking it wouldn't CXY-WZY's ship have been a better choice? Attention from ship fans, ship haters, CXK/WZY fans and CXK/WZY haters alike. Whereas pretty much only ship fans care about HQFG.

    It might take a while for the clip to get subbed, but.. wow. AQY wow. The trainees were playing a guessing game, and one of the questions was a ship name. Yes, ship as in I ship trainee X and trainee Y together, kind of ship. ZZT-Justin's to be exact. The 'overlord' part isn't in the original text, original text merely alludes to image that his haters have been painting of him. I've been stay as far away from the ZZT hate as internetly possible so I have no idea what they're talking about. Original text reads as "ZZT is a little girly, isn't as bad as the hate on the internet makes him out to be, but he does have a possess a streak of pridefulness"

    Thoughts after watching the EP (i'd lost my earphones QAQ) *in Shuri voice* AND WHAT IS THATTTTT *points at Ling Chao's hair* Zhou Rui's self promo is 10/10. hey, finally, AQY showed some of his personality! Not sure if it was mentioned by anyone else, but AQY derped their editing. When they cut to the trainees clapping in the middle of CLN's speech, you can see CLN clapping lmao. The part where they showed the Top4 trainees on the screen -- guys there are more shades of colour than light blonde, can we go dark please? Yes CLN, good, keep that dark hair. DZR is such an uplifting, positive, well-spoken child, I cannot. Also, LQZ clinging to DZR's sleeve asdfghjkl;'

    The biggest 'threat' for ZZT's debut under Idol Producer is his own company, actually.

    Nah they just find your rehashing of information every handful of pages irritating but somehow couldn't find it in themselves to add you to their ignore list :P PM me as well, I want to check the sources but my skills for navigating the cfandom is fairly limited.

    RE: Xiao Gui I would have thought that Xiao Gui would end up like Samuel (eliminated from Broduce, with a quick solo debut after) except with the whole ban-on-rap going on in China it makes more sense for XG to be in a ''typical'' boygroup*. As for not suited for being in typical boygroup...idk AQY has (made a conscious decision in having) shown that Xiao Gui is pretty bubbly,caring, cute and a great teammate. From my perspective, if you look past the dreads I'm not sure how exactly he isn't typical boygroup material *Also China's standards for ''typical'' boygroups have not yet been set. TFboys is kinda like a one-of-a-kind thing. In fact ironically most of the big KR->CN male idols are all 'rappers' or at least do rap (in no particular order: Kris Luhan Tao Jackson)

    Think will debut: CXK, FCC, CLN, BF Want to debut: Any configuration is fine. I have my favourites ( ) but the show's done a good job of making me just also want to generally root for every trainee. Regardless of what I think of the authenticity of the ranks/votes, the passion and hardwork(!!!) of the trainees feel real to me and I want to acknowledge that by accepting the Top9 in whatever form they come.     Minor correction, ZZT's hype isn't dying. Let's just say that if YH decides that they wanna debut the eliminated trainees ASAP while the attention is high, AQY won't begrudge YH their leader. With the very improbable drop of ZZT to #7 the scenario I'm expecting is for both ZZT & BWJ to not make it into the group.ZZT will probably be given an #11 or something suitably close, galvanising his fans to even more strongly support the YH debut.

    I agree with you! There's already an uproar in the C-fandom with ZZT's ranking, as well as something with ZYC's elimination. If they dare to mess with CXK.. *laughs maniacally* ---

    Yeah, the only point of contention is that members might not have a chance to do what they want, which is always a shame.(see: vocals in IP being forced into dance group for evals) There will be riots if CXK gets dethroned at the last moment much less by a taiwanese with previous controversy CLN doesn't deserve the hate he's bound to get too :c I honestly don't see it happening; Iqiyi is slightly more subtle than that.

    Quoting myself in response to the frenzy of 'what about the vocals?'. Like, I totally understand (and share some of) the concerns, but it's not as great a disaster as it might seem on first glance.

    On one hand it's nice to see that even the eliminated trainees alr have fanbases willing to stalk send them off at the airports; on the other I'm like woah lack of personal space/privacy much? What brought this on was a vid of LQZ asking fans to step back so that his passport won't get seen... Like wtf are they that close anyway. And the fact that 'fans' can check their flights because they know their idol's passport numbers... My mind is blown, and not in a good way. LQZ is cute tho. Dem hamster hands.     Just stay away from the C-fandom and you'll be fine. I'd also reccomend not turning on comments when watching on Iqiyi if you understand chinese; it's not pretty -- Yuehua is the de facto punching bag after every episode is aired, with FCC & ZZT taking the brunt of it I'd post something happy, but elim spoilers still hanging heavily overhead

    Urgh, CXK. He's so seriously good at practically all aspects of being an idol that it turns me off, and then I get swayed by the footage of him being a Genuinely Good Person and end up liking him anyway (and also mildly upset that his original group didn't work out).
