  1. Wasn't his cause of death heart failure and not a suicide? I wouldn't trust everything those gossip blogs say, especially when they are more hollywood-oriented than kpop. how would you know that their sources are correct?

A few days before his passing Minwoo uploaded shirtless pictures in bed on his insta. Seems to me like distasteful gossip for clicks, tbh.

hard to say. "cardiac arrest" can occur from a number of causes, and while i remember fans discussing that it CAN "just happen," very little solid information has been announced to the general public.

  2. 100% is a group i've always respected for their talent, courage, and fabulousness.

I've always had thoughts about the group, especially members Rockhyun, Hyukjin, and Jonghwan, but while Minwoo's death came as a shock I never expected this kind of story for him (i wanted to believe it was an accident). if it's true, it breaks my heart :c

    Rest in peace, Minwoo.

    ---

And for the rest of the group, you younger gays need to be educated on their incredible fabness, starting with their latest MV (subtle, but heavy rainbow theme and video ends with look from one boy to another followed with the visual overlay of their hands, which would normally be an odd direction choice since you normally wouldn't want your models to block each other -- could easily have one move over a little)

other highlights from their history, including very serious dancing in form-fitting dresses:

    Sistar's "Alone"

Park Ji-yoon's "Coming of Age Ceremony"

A little extra fab of a different variety, Ailee's "I Will Show You"

Not that dancing in a dress makes you gay, but they do it very seriously and take pride in what they do, so they deserve lots of love and support.

  3. I think its because with Holland, you can't separate him from his sexuality if you recommend his music. With someone like Troye Sivan, people still have plausible deniability because he's pretty popular and a lot of his music isnt explicitly about his sexuality. You can actually see that in action in that one Bts Billboard interview where Namjoon was asked about him recommending Macklemore's Same Love, he says it was "just because he liked the song" (which imo, in context with how he originally posted about it, is such absolute horseshit that any fan can see through it). Even what Yoongi said wasn't that clear, and its probably as outspoken as theyll ever be allowed to be. With Holland, theres no ambiguity, he's gay and his songs are about him being gay and his videos are about him being gay, you cant Macklemore your way out of recommending his music. I think what Holland said shows how scared people are of the entire issue, I think a lot of us get frustrated because it sometimes seems like idols just choose to be vague and could explicitly support us if they wanted to, but given their private support it seems that people really feel that they just cant.

rather than the contents themselves i think it's simply the quantity of music + popularity that can be used as an excuse. it's hard to make a song "exclusively gay," and even then some of them (like Same Love) gain widespread popularity all the same. however, with fewer songs and less widespread fame (as well as linguistic/cultural connection), there's no more smokescreen to hide behind and they'd be pressed to answer one way or the other.

  4. I wouldn't be surprised if he was gay. He's been in two gay movies already and actors who apear in multiple gay movies tend to be gay in my experience.

*technically one gay movie (night flight) and one TV drama (the lover).

    which, speaking of,

    [night flight spoilers:]

what do you guys think of his character in night flight?

he has sex with a girl around the middle of the film and the extent of his feelings are never revealed, but he and the other guy are the two leads of the film, and he is very protective of the other lead who confesses his love for him. it could go either way for me so i'm wondering what you guys' opinions are.

  5. what are you guys watching?

today i ended up watching pretty much the entire gay storyline from The Fosters (that show with those two kids who became news a few years ago for being the youngest gay kiss on TV) through youtube clips. you might recognize these gifs:

    tumblr_njku4cbz3M1qzg3f8o8_250.gif

    30k3mme.jpg

anyway, i realized that these kids are basically 18-20 years old now which is insane because i was about 20 back when this was news (think it was just a few years after Justin & Austin's kiss on Ugly Betty, which itself was shocking TV at the time back in the pre-Glee era).

wondering if there's anything quality in America nowadays. the LGBT TV scene kind of over-saturated with meh storylines and clichéd d"token" gay characters, but recently i've just stopped hearing about them.

so, any recommendations? preferably something sweet rather than hyper-sexual

  6.

Has anyone seen this? I've watched this back when it came out and it popped up in my recommended videos today. I can't believe they're both gone now.

Koh Masaki was a Japanese adult movie star, he was probably the most famous gay adult movie star in Japan, and one of the only ones, if not the only, who were publicly gay. He even went by his real name, which is a rarity. He was a fighter for LGBT+ community rights, an advocate, and a really thoughtful man in love with his significant other. It's so sad how they found each other and were so happy and then he died a few months after this video was posted due to complications from a routine surgery. Tenten was a Chinese go-go dancer living in Japan, he was also publicly out, both had a cult following, and he never really got over Koh's passing. I still choke up about what he wrote in Koh's obituary. He finally found happiness a few years later, he was living in Korea with his new boyfriend, Matt (who is Korean), they were so happy and then last year he got hit by a car and sadly passed away too. So sad. Tenten's boyfriend continued his tradition and mentioned Koh on his death day anniversary, and he visited Tenten's grave too for his and I legit choked up. I've kind of been keeping an eye on Tt to see how he was doing and would check up on him periodically hoping he was living his good life and when I learned he had passed away last year, I really couldn't believe it.

never knew that happened to tenten afterwards :c

that's so sad... rest in peace, both of them.

  7. If you go to the actual tweet and click on the pictures it shows the screenshots + translations of the messages.

On the 1st picture at the end he says I love you babe don’t cry. rlytearpls.png

ah i didn't notice it because it's only the translation.

wonder if the "babe" part is just the translator's choice or if he actually said "babe" like key did that one time

  8. I found this. I don’t know if they’re accurate. Hopefully someone here speaks Japanese and can let us know.

didn't read in detail but going off my listen of the song, that was the general idea of the lyrics.

as for the "his eyes" line, it's actually an adopted quote from a movie (read around the forums that eunhyuk said he heard it and liked the line).

  9. [Throwback]

    I think about this a lot 0u0plz.png

if you use your knowledge of physics and positioning:

notice that kyungsoo's head and kai's ass are the same height.

if kyungsoo was staring at kai's ass, his eyes would be level, not looking upwards.

    ---

i really shouldn't scold you guys so much but i can't help it.

  10. Whilst I agree body language and behaviour can be an indicator it's also not foolproof imo. Imagine being the gay of the group who is under extra pressure to act nervous around women, not because his group, management or fans care, but because his family back home are ultra conservative, he's not out to them, he's terrified of them, and they're watching him all the time.

didn't mean to imply it was, but i felt i was already using too many "but who knows?" qualifiers.

  11. Oops! I'm sorry. I meant no harm chuplz.png

Yeah I read your opinion on Myungsoo but all the posts left me all the more confused XD In fact, there was a time when this thread was entirely dominated by Myungsoo and I loved it! XD

I agree he's really unique and withheld tbvh and can go either way

Like I'm Asian and we're a lot clingy with each other, even my straight friends are, but I'm also gay so...

18+ question in the spoiler, I hope it's okay

And what is your opinion on Myungsoo being a virgin?

I read that virgin boys are awkward and shy in front of women and I can definitely vouch for this because I have many virgin straight male friends (it's not rare in Asia where the atmosphere is conservative). Moreover, he did mention that he never kissed. Then again, it was years ago and he can also lie to save his image but considering his honesty and blunt image, I'm still suspicious. (ÅÅ)

He really is awkward and shy in front of women and I don't think he's acting because his acting is useless tbvh.

If he was gay, he would be normal around women, just like Woohyun, Sungjong and me lol.

huh. that's fair; he really doesn't know how to handle himself around women.

honestly i could keep bouncing back and forth with him but you're probably right that he's most likely straight.

i literally have no idea about your spoiler'd question. he did mention on beatles code once that he had never been in love with a woman before, and though he was heavily pressed on it he seemed pretty assertive about it. but that was also a few years ago.

  12. Yeah. I think Myungsoo is close to Sungjong (not sure whether they're dating or not, are they?), Woohyun and Sunggyu too but with Sungyeol it's bland -_-

If I may ask you since you have been active on the thread since 2012 (I read many of your posts smile.png ), do you think Myungsoo is gay/ bi? If yes, why? He never pinged me tbh. I get vibes from Woohyun and Sungjong.

Sent from my iPhone X using OneHallyu mobile app

    o my god don't say 2012 i feel old :0

    ---

you've probably read my opinion on this if you've read my posts (then again i feel most of my posts here the past few months/years are just scolding people), but i feel mixed about myungsoo. when i was new to INFINITE he pinged me a lot, especially seeing his behavior on shows and things and [seemingly] otherwise inexplicable shyness. however, after years following INFINITE, i've gotten a slightly clearer picture of who he is, and while he's certainly unique and withheld he really could go either way.

i agree that the highest-pinging members are sungjong and woohyun.

  13. Sorry MyungYeol shippers, here's a normal fangirl who thinks MyungYeol is fake (。Åï¹Å)

Sorry for being a party pooper, I don't Stan a lot of groups tbh

Sent from my iPhone X using OneHallyu mobile app

    we been knew since 2012-ish

    --

aside from myungsoo's adoration for sungjong, myungsoo seems to have a very positive relationship with woohyun. woohyun can be seen subtly pushing myungsoo to talk on shows, and they have spoken about their respect for each other (there was a direct conversation about it on that show they did in December of i think 2016 -- was it Showtime? the episode where they're eating food in the living room with a couch)

  14. So Jo Kwon just posted this on his Instagram

This is the movie summary from Wikipedia: In this adaptation of a true story, devout Christian Mary Griffith (Sigourney Weaver) fights to "cure" her gay son, Bobby (Ryan Kelley). Although he tries to please his mother, Bobby cannot change his lifestyle, and his depression leads to suicide. Mary questions her faith and searches for comfort, but after the church is unable to help her cope with Bobby's death, she seeks to understand her opinions on homosexuality for herself. Eventually, Mary becomes an advocate for gay rights.

His caption is something along the lines of God loving everyone (with a rainbow emoji of course). Love this legend

    also: sigourney weaver, my queen
