  1. THAT made you change your mind? he's absolutely terrible at all of them lol. his pink shirt is clearly compensating for a lack of natural homofabulousness
  2. a hyung collector? where does he put them once he's got them?
  3. skipping through this doesn't seem very gay. there is moment or two i caught that's typical kpop homo-flirty but for the most part they just echo each other (look at their reversed color schemes) as if they're supposed to be the same person.
  4. i've been avoiding coming in here :x feeling really down about this. when jessica left snsd it marked such a big shift. i'm glad with infinite and hoya at least it wasn't a terribly sudden thing (he was the member i most suspected would think of leaving), and he left at the end of a contract on legally clean terms so i'm not worried about him being blacklisted or blocked (not that woollim has the power anyway, lol). i really hope they don't pull that erasing kind of shit and that they're able to talk about him with the fans, and i REALLY REALLY hope he's very successful so we can see a lot more of him and that he doesn't draw back or focus too hard on acting (i honestly don't get what idols see in acting; kdramas are god-awful the majority of the time). anyway, :c i'm thankful for their time as seven and i hope to see them all again soon in whatever shape or form that is.
  5. because "iconic" tends to refer to representing an entire time period/era, but if the current period hasn't ended then you can't really accurately gauge how truly iconic something is or isn't. if you say "that's an iconic madonna look" you're not just saying the look is good, you're also saying it was representative of a certain period, and that it had impace. "iconic" requires context, but this new comeback is still in process and we're still getting new contents from it and the context changes on a daily basis.
  6. huh? it WILL be iconic, but can you really call something current "iconic"? it doesn't matter but it seemed off to me.
  7. wow you're reading into this all wrong. you're looking at puckered lips as a sign for kissing, but that's a really narrow-minded view. they can also be for sucking.
  8. bicurious? why not bisexual? anyway i'm curious how you can tell woohyun (and to a lesser extent, myungsoo) are into girls. woohyun is always throwing hearts and sweet words over the subject in a surprisingly non-romantic way, and myungsoo pretty much entirely avoids the subject. both of them had scandals (woohyun's being much smaller) where they had to stay quiet, possibly out of some validity, but possibly simply to avoid further inquiry. if you've watched infinite's "Grow," myungsoo's section has him giving out one of those difficult-to-interpret speeches (but still very moving) while crying. also not sure why dongwoo is one of your big candidates. he has that friendship (?) with ailee that he doesn't overly emphasize, and he's generally so carefree and open it's hard for me to imagine him being LGBT. i'm curious about your perspective
  9. *edited BTS is not the first group whose spam has gotten people bothered, and if these board and this thread last for a while longer, they won't be the last.
  10. dongwoo, sungyeol, and hoya i am mostly certain are straight. sunggyu i believe is straight, but i never feel entirely certain. i'm leaning straight but that he fairly recently (aka during pre-debut) learned that he gets along well with gay guys. he used to hate woohyun a lot, apparently, for some unstated reason, though now they are two of the biggest supporters of each other. woohyun, as it turns out, i'm pretty confident is gay. his closeness with SHINee's key (including hanging with key and his suspected ex), his large number of female friends "because he treats them right," and mysterious heartbreak experience that resulted in a surprisingly genuine solo album. then his weird inexplicable breakdown at a concert stating some vague anxieties that he removed too much context from to make any sense. he seemed to at some point have suffered some heavy heartbreak, which is odd given he is one of the most forward members with throwing hearts at fans and you'd think if he had a girlfriend he would tone it down from "YOU ARE ALL MY GIRLFRIENDS" into something more subtle. myungsoo is another toss-up, like sunggyu. myungsoo is a bit of an otaku and just a weird guy who is shy and awkward with most people despite really caring and wanting to be more genuine. when he likes something he tends to get obsessive, which isn't restricted to romance. he also has this passion for photography. so, even though he has this obsession with sungjong that all the members acknowledge and he's always taking photos of him, i can't help but feel that it's just a perfect storm of factors. i also used to think a lot of his mannerisms were gay, but then i realized he's simply awkward and shy. i am the EXACT SAME WAY... well, i'm also gay, so........ he also has a very sweet and subtle relationship (friendship, i think) with woohyun going back a while with each other supporting and comforting each other without getting over the top, and since i think woohyun is pretty gay there's a chance it's because they're going through similar things. sungjong is pretty much a sure thing. lol. is there anything i need to say?
  11. excuse me? you know that this is how people looked at (and in many regions/countries STILL look at) homosexuality, right? they can't understand anyone feeling something differently than the way they do and they blame it on abuse, single parents, poor upbringing, evil spirits, etc. since that makes "more sense" to them.
  12. this thread has never been stickler about that, you're just being an ass. tbh, i don't fully understand asexuality. i have a friend who is asexual and he gets crushes and stuff on boys and girls and i don't know what that entails or exactly how he feels, but that's ok. the important thing is he has taken the courage to admit something that's clearly very difficult, personal, and not well understood. you can be sure that other LGBT idols that hear about this will be paying attention to the reaction
  13. he's so hot i can't handle it. i think i rewatch this video once a month.
  14. homo hill is IN itaewon, but itaewon =/= homo hill.not only ARE there other things than gay bars there, but there are PLENTY of other things because it's a very popular area for enjoyment. not that it's not suspect (especially in wooyoung's context he gave us), but it's certainly not as hard proof as you'd like to believe.
  15. i don't know about minwoo (though i remember 100% being pretty homosexual), but anyone gay would not be surprised by hyeongkon lol
  16. ;; hoya this doesn't seem too long ago. when was this, i wonder
  17. making up millions of sub-groups so you can categorize something uncategorizable is dumb, and i'm not a fan of tumblrspeak, but people like that do exist. you could say they're "very slightly bisexual" (having a heavy preference for one gender to the extent that they usually don't even notice the potential on the other side). they're not straight, but to all intents and purposes they might as well be -- many of them may never notice they're open to the idea in the first place.
  18. i'm sorry that our very serious thread couldn't live up to your onehallyu standards of scientific excellence in kpop. you'll find the door on your left.
  19. look, that poor hetero girl forced to watch is going to throw up. *rolls eyes*
  20. to a certain extent everything IS all acting (not just kpop but w/e), but when push comes to shove it really doesn't matter because anything we could possibly see or hear from this person (aka their celebrity persona) is a certain way, and as long as we don't become personally close with an idol in real life, that's all that really matters.
  21. :l honestly when it comes down to it that's not a good thing. even if it's my favorite group (infinite) or a celebrity i really liked, something as bad as rape ought to carry HEAVY consequences. that being said, i don't believe this story has anything to do with woohyun. it's the reporter's fault for using him as a stock photo.
