C#2-C5 as a baritone. My mix starts at G3 then up to F#4. My head voice is pretty useless at the moment, so the rest is falsetto lol. What about you?
-
Nay, I am chuajohann from allkpop. Chung's ID here is "Avatar" I think. Though not too familiar, nice to see you here ~

Hi~ What took you so long lol

Any technique to increase range, esp upwards?

Hi, May I please know when's the next badge change? The current Younha award has a pretty outdated pic and I'd like to know if it can be changed. I know that recently there was a badge change so yeah. I'm still slowly working up to 100 posts though. Thank You

Ok my question was pretty silly lol. I thought a fixed pitch (at like C3) would sound like a C2 if sung by a dude with a very deep voice. But I guess our ears should be able to differentiate the 2 in the end? No matter what type of voice lol
-
I mean take for example Kyuhyun's C3. Let's say his voice transforms and becomes deeper and deeper (in something, either pitch or weight I guess) to the point his C3 becomes a C2. Is there a cut off point for that?
-
Actually the first question was more impt lol, hope you can answer that too. As for my voice, it really sounds light when I listen to it in my head. I know it isn't as light as a female's, but even kpop tenors sound deeper than girls (so I'm guessing if both start in the 3rd octave, it's more of a rounded up/down estimate) At the same time, I checked out some guy's D2 notes on YT and I thought my voice was nowhere as deep, so i assumed 3rd octave. You said I sing from my middle octave...but to find my range I would start as low as possible! (and still thought it from a 3rd octave) Possible reason is that when I sing casually (pretty different from the recording you heard), I use like middle voice all the time (possible??) so it sounds lighter and I confuse it with tenors who love to sing 4th octave notes.
-
I've got a question, is it possible for someone with a deep voice, yet light enough to be confused between a lower and a higher octave??? My voice always sounds much lighter when I listen to myself without recording (hence I thought I started in the 3rd octave)
-
wow your range D3-C6? Mine is like D2-C5, so I have to like sing 1 octave lower than common tenors lol. 0.0 Perhaps you're talking about me? There was once in allkpop I thought my range was C#3-G5 because I started on the wrong octave XD.
-
Nah, I don't think he's got a 7 octave range. He even exerts himself to hit IU's "3 octave notes" which are only in the 5th octave. In order for the experts here (not me) to evaluate your voice type, you need to either let them hear it, or state a singer whom your voice closely matches. With your range you could still be either a baritone or a tenor. Vocal weight + timbre are used to classify the singer if not classically trained (1st page). Your range, being 3 octaves wide, is definitely above average, since average is around 2 i think.

Accept her flaws -_-, just to remind yourself how beautiful humans can be. She can crack and still be like crack to my ears. That's all that matters. Next thing to crack would be the glass around her if she goes any higher in super head voice. Not a joke worth cracking up about. lol
-
My bad, that was actually a C#3. I shall compensate you with a G2 then. He sang it twice at 2:32 & 4:51. I also have a live G#5 from him. Still it's >3 octaves XD. I often confuse the octaves as I easily sing in the 2nd and 3rd octave from C#2 onwards. Didn't realise he is a higher baritone until after listening for a while... Is there such a voice where it's notes are deep yet light enough to be confused between 2 octaves??
-
There is a C6 at 0:55 in the first video!

Sohyang belts C6 again and live. And does a rerun of her cover of Korea's national anthem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEpNAKcFNLs&list=UUFL1sCAksD6_7JIZwwHcwjQ&index=6 Then she shows how to transit from chest to mix to head and back again? I think this one is clearer than Westvoice's version. I wonder what's between her and michael jackson's vocal coach. She never fails to remind them lol <3

Kpop females love to insert a 5th octave note here and there. I guess that's why, all light lyric sopranos showing off their high notes.
-
I heard C#2 from snow flower. C#2-G#5 so far, unless josias has lower notes? Ahmin what's your highest mixed voice note?
-
Just need to confirm whether this is a F#5 from Park Hyo Shin at 7:57. Cos is it is then he would have a range of around 3.5
-
Hi Just want to ask you. As a baritone like me, do you have difficulty singing pop songs?. Most mainstream singers are tenors right? I can only go up to F#4 in mixed (after some practice, I found my mix), how about you?
-
How does one become classically trained? Why is it so uncommon?
-
Pardon my simple-minded question. Naul is an excellent vocalist right? If Lee Ryan is better, is he at like David Phelps' level?? He sounds more like Naul in this video (Even though the difference is pretty clear to me). Plus it's a compilation of belts. You also said that my list is irrelevant? Ok then include B.E.S in too then XD. I'm sure Naul has been around longer than my list and I filtered them according to how often I see them on TV.
-
Lol I'm sure your list of groups was good enough and they can pick out the main themselves? lol. I'm only providing the soloist and oops Alex Chu is Clazziquai's.
-
I filtered out the idol groups, the less popular and the legends hehe Alex Chu Chung Dong-ha Eru (singer) Huh Gak Hong Kyung-min Hwanhee Jang Keun-suk Brian Joo K.Will Kangta & Vanness Kim Bum-soo Kim Jong-kook Kim Yeon-woo Lee Hyun Lee Juck Lee Jung Lee Seung-gi Eric Nam Park Hyo-shin Jay Park Park Jin-young John Park (musician) Psy Rain (entertainer) Seo In-guk Seven (South Korean singer) Son Hoyoung Sung Si-kyung Tei (singer) Wheesung Not mentioned in the list (as far as I can recall): Roy Kim, Hong Dae Kwang, Jung Joon Young, Yoo Seung Woo, Kim Tae Woo, Urban Zakapa's male vocalists
