  1. lol I'm not sure where to rank her. But I remember the experts here saying she is very nasal on top of her high notes being slightly tense. Still it's no mean feat dancing and singing nicely, which many girl groups cannot achieve. If I'm not wrong, nasal singers never got to decent level, which starts around where ALi or Eunji is. Guys care to comment? =)
  2. Looks like..(puts on sunglasses)..people on different frequencies can't resonate...oh yeah!
  3. oh ok lol, I was so stiff in thinking I thought head resonance is for head voice only lolol. Anyway, isn't it pretty late now at where you live?
  4. Hmm...just to confirm the C6 is a belted mixed note right? So this mixed note can be achieved by head resonance?
  5. thanks! So is Sohyang's C6 belt mask resonant? Is there any chest or head resonance with that note?
  6. ohhh...mask resonance is for mixed voice only ic. But why do people say there is vibration around the nose? Is there any air going out the nose?
  7. No...Vibration THEN is the one which means "oscillation to produce audible sound". The professionals probably just used the term resonance to mean vibration. Resonance is more advanced, because you need at least 2 parts in your vocal cavities to vibrate together and at the same frequency.
  8. No room for Wheesung/Roy Kim/Hong Dae Kwang/Buhwal's Jung Dongha? They seem to have enough material. Oh no! Kim Tae Woo!! But if you decide it's full, then I won't push anymore.
  9. It's only yesterday lol. This is still the "Lee Seung Chul" special, so Ailee's perf was Heeya. So you know Bada? I'm also amazed at how bright her voice is hearing it for the 1st time, it's like Avril Lavigne but slightly brighter. Pretty pleasant to my ears.
  10. Hi guys, what do you think of the immortal song champ? She belts G5 like its nothing, but I can't tell if there's a high larynx or if she is doing it fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeV9YkH_sAU
  11. Erm...about production, even heavy metal succeeds in their own industry, and they scream and spoil their voices. Can you scream and not hurt at the same time?? Everybody has very similar structured vocal cords and larynx. That's why we can use theory. If my throat hurts doing something, yours will also hurt doing the same thing. About 2NE1, sure they refine something that's nothing to do with vocal technique. They probably go "Eh eh eh eh eh" during their practice until they achieve the "perfect" Eh. Then they drink some honey lemon to cure their throat.
  12. Agree!!! His voice feels lighter now. No idea why~

  14. lol i kept calibrating it with my voice so I'm pretty sure E2 is there. Well never mind, this still gives some hope for some low sung notes for a beastly range. What type of voice would he be classified under though?
  15. I mean...you said before a person can speak at C3 or something. Can't a speaking voice count as part of the vocal range, since he can reach it?
  16. What do you guys think of Kyuhyun's new song? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjmK3zAnjHQ&feature=player_embedded
  17. Actually Navi's got much better days. The perf in IS2 was really unexpected. Before I got to this thread, I thought she had a diva voice due to the way she uses her vibrato. Let's wait for her comeback then judge again =). Here is Kim Tae Woo's D#2 at 3:50, don't laugh XD. Maybe it was an E2.
  18. About her limit, She looks kinda tired in here though but, her D5 at 4:50 was pretty strained http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7emkvKbDEeU This one is full of weak head voices
  19. She seldom uses her headvoice, which is very airy and weak so perhaps she's been using falsetto all along? Her latest title song was bad for her since it required her to enter the 5th octave often and she loses her support.
  20. Whoa, I've been reviewing some of my fav singers. Just realised NAVI has a disappointing range of practically 2 octaves (like D#3-D#5)! Still she does well within it, though it pains me to hear her strain even at Bb4. And then Kim Tae Woo does a D#2 and C5 (mixed) in the same perf wow
  21. Hi guys. I've been supporting this girl group SKARF since it's the only one with Singaporeans in it. What do you think of the multiple D#5s at 2:34 onwards?
  22. lol, all drama ends with reconciliation doesn't it?
