I think Skrelp is badass, it looks like it doesn't give a shit about anything. It's name is a play on words I think (Scraggy + Kelp). I love Sea Dragons btw, they are so unique! Hopefully Skrelp has an evolution.

I've got an allowance in my gut feeling for that. 90% fast, 10% slow poke

About Chespin's attack, perhaps I was too excited. But it has a hard shell so defence is probably in.

Pokedex entries for some of the fastest starters. Sceptile: It agilely leaps about the jungle and uses the sharp leaves on its arms to strike its prey. Blaziken (now with Speed Boost): Blaziken has incredibly strong legs - it can easily clear a 30-story building in one leap. This Pokémon's blazing punchesleave its foes scorched and blackened. Infernape: Its crown of fire is indicative of its fiery nature. It is beaten by none in terms of quickness. I would agree that exaggeration is there to some extent (less in newer versions). But the creators would still be sensible enough. If you intend to give a pokemon an impressionable stat, you'd probably want to write something about it. A frog that's light and jumps incredibly high is def no seismitoad

Yes! My initial guess seems right. Chespin has high attk, def and decent speed. Fennekin might still be sp attk sp def. Froakie is def gonna be the speediest water type starter from the description.

Guys, what is this "half air half voice" vocal technique that JYP promotes? Sounds funny. http://www.allkpop.com/article/2013/06/ivy-says-recording-with-jy-park-wasnt-easy-due-to-the-half-air-half-voice-techniuqe

Oh my that's so stereotypical of you! He is still a Shindong, and should prefer more active pokemon, like at least 1 fighting type. A Snorlax would drag him down. I'm very particular about IV and EVs and sometimes nature. I hunt for a decent pokemon team with good IVs, then according to the opponent pokemon's EV rewards I switch my pokemon accordingly to receive the correct EVs. Then when I'm done with the Elite four I'll look back at my pokemon's stats and sigh in satisfaction. Pokemon with poor IV, EV and natures can really disappoint you at critical times. It's like if your Vaporean vs a gym leader's vaporean at the same level, shadow balling each other, yet you find your vaporean losing. It sucks that Ash's got overpowered pokemon and we can't have our own ownage moments in-game.

Hmm that's a weird combination of weaknesses and resistances/immunities. I really don't see the logic that you can K.O. the fairy with a metal rod but your dragon claw cannot touch it. Anyways, this makes latios and latias safe and happy. While tyrannitar, the "dragon" of 2nd Gen is pushed forward into the horde of cowardly dragons. I can see Iron Tail being utilised more often by the dragons. Fighting and dark types may pick up poison jab or somethin. Oh wait I see what they're getting at. Imagine Fairy is a white knight. The knight slays dragons, evil forces (dark) and fighting (other lesser knights). However, he can be assassinated (poison) or stabbed (steel). He has difficulty dealing with magician's spells - direct magic attacks (fire) + more unorthodox methods like hypnosis (psychic). This sets my wild/lame imagination to rest...

Now that the thread has quieten down, I would like Ivy's vocals to be rated. Anyone up for it?
-
Oh...I got Ghastly for the horoscope thing, not too bad! Cos Gengar is badass. Currently replaying Volt White 2 (Hacked version of White 2) on Challenge Mode. The wild pokemon are smarter (you can find the entire pokedex worth), trainers' pokemon are tougher and all Gym Leaders have 6 pokemon and use some badass strategies. I got owned by the 2nd Gym that used toxic spikes and I forgot to buy any antidotes! =(. Got my full team now to challenge 6th gym- Emboar, Empoleon, Mr Mime, Escavalier and Aerodactyl (1 slot for a legendary)

there is still additional resistance to dark and rock, but 4X is worst so yeah. Yay I was right about the EV training system. So I'm gonna raise an Arceus's attack by petting him. I wonder what the animation would look like petting the shit out of huge legendaries.

Peter Pan's Tinkerbell got poisoned and nearly died. Fire because I associate them somewhat with bugs. And dark because Fairy is like light right? lol.
-
Perhaps try recalling what you've observed from fairy tales? Poison, fire and dark seem like it. Who knows, maybe dragon, being the sworn enemy of fairies....
-
The pokecompany does not consider the metagame for all their pokemon. Perhaps Sylveon's fairy type moves will be unorthodox? I would reserve the fairy type dragon slayer title for someone else. Sylveon looks like a happy-go-lucky pokemon, even Umbreon looks more threatening lol.
-
No! None of the eeveelutions have focused on Sp.D before. Sylveon will be like Sp.D/Speed/Sp.A/HP/Def/Attk. We've got too many Sp.A eeveelutions and Sylveon does not have that offensive vibe to it.

Dialga says try me

Hi, thanks for the reply. So that is the blue note, I've definitely heard that kind on radio and eargasmed. Lol, I thought his voice was heavenly, as many people in the youtube comments would agree and I've got a thing for smooth voices. But vocal wise, and not musicianship wise, how did he fare?
-
I'm very curious. How did Moon Myung Jin do for this perf? He seems to like the intended offkey style that jazz musicians(?) love. Hihi,
-
Hi, I was curious about Lee Seung Hwan's vocals again. He didn't do much but what do you think of say 25:10-26:10? Was there a low larynx? Thanks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpRuTsV-Yqk

A mythical canine shepherding farm pokemon is still a shepherd dog in my book lol XD. Arcanine hasn't done much to live up to it's name. Assuming Arcanine and Entei are based off Japanese folklore, I'm guessing that the justification for a new one is that it is from the African plains (plain old Disney Lion King)
-
Lol I thought Entei will be the only Lion forever, Now there is another vying for the throne.

Nah, at least for me I can easily differentiate between a sea dragon and a sea horse. A sea dragon (in real life) is usually brown with seaweed-like fins. It is longer and also poisonous. So I wouldn't say it's a lame copy (if that's what you're implying) Also fire/water for the shrimp is not impossible, since it has happened in real life. The pistol shrimp can snap it's claw (the bigger one) so fast it can blast heat as hot as the sun (OHKO on any nearby fish/crab). But they can creatively amend the fire as electricity so nvm lol
-
I'm gonna make a guess now. The shrimp shall be our first fire/water type. Cmon let it be.
-
a new way to add EVs?
-
The sea horse might be based off the sea dragon (which looks like a seahorse but it's deadly poisonous) The shrimp may be based off the pistol shrimp, an actual shrimp which can shoot water rapidly at high temperatures, with 1 pincer bigger than the other.
