My depression started in 2014 and that was the worst period of life for me. I'm doing better now, but stress definitely plays a factor because last year I had a breakdown that caused me to quit school for a while. Now I'm just trying not to put a lot of pressure on myself so that it doesn't happen again.

I've watched a lot of studio ghibli movies growing up, but Howl's moving castle made such a strong impression on me. Along with Ponyo because I loved the scene where she runs on the wave.

Why would it when we're all Asians here? But black lives matter trend almost daily

Disgusting. I don't even know how people even dare to think they can do something like this to other people. Lookalike? There are 7 people in the world who are supposed to look near-identical to you. There's nothing wong with looking similar to someone! I've run into plenty of kpop idol lookalikes myself living in Asia

Good question. I don't think it makes Malaysia or Indonesia very different, especially as someone from SG and is Buddhist. I've plenty of Muslim friends and we talk about the same things, complain about the same things. I've never really felt a big difference. If you grow up here, it's just part of life for your male Muslim friends to have to go to Friday prayers or for them to go to the library during fasting as a few examples. Plus, Islam here is different from how it is in the Middle East, it's a lot more relaxed and was adapted to the culture already in place rather than the culture adapting to it. And as for meeting Cambodians and Laotians, don't worry, I've also never met one. They seem to just stick to their own country. There's jokes about them actually, but I don't want to accidentally offend anyone here. P. S, there's also Timor-Leste but nobody knows who they are.

South East Asia. I had a feeling someone would ask me that, but since it's commonly discussed here I assumed that everyone would know. I guess I should change the title if I can.

I'm bored, and SEA seems to be a common topic around here. I've seen misinformation and even arguments between people over incorrect info, and I just want to set the record straight if any of you guys got any questions for SEA
-
I'm surprised you think Lucas looks more SEA because to me he looks very Chinese. Usually I can tell if they're mixed, but I was surprised to hear that he was half-Thai. His features you speak of look Chinese to me, and in fact he kinda looks like he could be mixed European, especially with that nose. SEA people tend to have flatter noses that are rounded and Ten has that kind of nose while Lucas doesn't.
-
Your right in saying this. A lot of people here in SEA has some form of Chinese ancestry because of how many came over here but it's really hard to keep track, especially the earlier they arrived. Ten seems to be from later generations based on what he's said, but he does probably have some Thai blood. It was common for Chinese man to take native wives because the women didn't follow so he's probably mostly Chinese with some Thai. Also, to me at least as a full Chinese girl, he doesn't look very Chinese to me. Yes, he has Chinese features, and people can pick him out for that, but overall he looks more SEA to me.

[Weibo] Yixing's phone screen is a group photo with his EXO members
Raosei replied to elfyeol's topic in Netizen Nation
Those three had very good reasons to leave. Just because Lay is now reaping the benefits of enduring SM's mistreatment doesn't mean that it was right. None of them shouldn't have even had to go through what they did. I disagree with you on this. Let's not make light of what they went through. -
Honestly Tao was right. I don't think he should have posted about it, but in this situation, Trump was really... He didn't do a good job of managing his country's Covid-19 situation and that's a fact. They're dealing with community spread right now, and they could have controlled it if they did it right early on. Now innocent people are paying for the government's mistakes with their lives, and it's frankly disgusting how he keeps dodging responsibility.
