IU mentioned, I think in the V Live, that the moon is very important to the grandmother and that she asked the writer and director about it before writing the lyrics for Dear Moon.

Nice to see it go up Nationwide compared to yesterday's episode, but dropped a bit in Seoul only. Will wait for TNmS to update the ratings table.

It's hard to resist not watching it live. I watch only a few scenes that are released on Naver/Youtube before watching with subs, but if I sense that the scene needs context, I stop watching it. I check comments on Naver too, but those are usually low on spoilers. I'm also used to spoilers, since I go find them myself (one of my daily visited sites is spoilertv.com). So checking a few scenes before seeing the full episode with subtitles doesn't take anything away from me. But I also very rarely see stuff fully more than once, like a movie, drama or a full episode. I might re-watch a scene, but very very rarely do I watch the full thing again, because it bores me and there's way to much stuff to watch so why watch something that you already did. So I kinda understand from where you guys come from, since both of you are watching it twice in a short period of time. It's not even re-watching a few days/weeks later, but almost twice in one day so I understand the feeling of repetitiveness.

Really? I find that if they put the changes that happened over 5 episodes to what is around PDH in 2 episodes that it would be rushed and badly written. He is learning about the affair, so his marriage is changing and will continue to change. His brothers's lives changed, they decided to start working together and take it seriously. So that dynamic changes too. Due to his brothers getting a stable job, his mother is changing too. His own job changed, since the Director he somewhat trusted was fired and the Director that he responds to is the CEO's lap dog, he almost got fired for getting a bribe, he must have felt like he was in the middle of a conspiracy while having to investigate the CEO. And now with what he learned, his job is tricky again. Maybe the issue is that there aren't changes, but that there are many small changes and so the impact that each has is more subtle. Which is not the usual for k-dramas, when something changes it almost punches you in the face with a neon sign. Hey, soufflés can be quite nice...

Ji An's friend says that the son is studying abroad and so they can't use him to get info or to get to PDH. And in episode 5 PDH mentions his name like you said. Since you are not enjoying it, maybe you can skip some episodes and check back later if the story is progressing more to your liking. Also, aren't you watching it live and then again with subtitles? Maybe that's why you are also finding it repetitive... This drama is low on dialogue, so that might come across as repetitiveness, since you are actually watching multiple times and there's not enough dialogue to differentiate both viewings.

I understand what you want, however I'm not sure this is the type of drama for that. Next episode might tell if it is or not, since things seem to start to unravel for multiple characters.

What do you think was shown before that didn't need to be shown again? And considering how the drama has tried to stay true to reality, life is kinda repetitive... However, I'm not finding the drama or any scene repetitive... I'm weirdly finding it calming and peaceful. Weirdly because I don't think "calming and peaceful" would be something used to describe this drama... But hey, here I am.

The son is studying abroad in the US. Ji An's parents we might learn about them or not. PDH being depressed is easily explain by the narrative itself. He is in a marriage that is clearly not working, not only because the wife is cheating, but because they act as almost strangers living in the same house. His son is away. He is working in a job that he doesn't like, like his wife said, a job that looks like he is walking to a slaughterhouse every day. His brothers are down on their lives and since he cares for them, it hurts him to see them like that. He most likely would like for his mother to not have worries, but she worries about his brothers and that makes him sad. And I could go on...

I have no issue with the pacing and with the behavior of PDH, his behavior seems to fit his character. It's only been what? A month or so in drama time, it's a bit hard to pin point since we don't have many temporal clues in the drama itself. And considering how only now he is putting the pieces together, I find a bit too much to expect his character to just flip, it would be for the sake of plot instead of good characterization. I really dislike when characters do a 180º in behavior or personality, to me that's a tell tale of bad writing. Maybe that's why I'm enjoying this drama so much, it's not using the characters to go from point A to B for plot sake, it's using the characters as if they were real and with real and believable reactions to the situations that they are presented with. Let's not forget that we as viewers see everything and from multiple points of view, but that does not apply to the characters, so we can't expect them to behave as if they had the same knowledge.

It's subbed in the site that I used to watch. Since it's ad free, no banners with the site name, 720p+/1080p I assume that it's slower to get it, so other sites should have it already too.

I'm debating if I should watch it with subs now or go to sleep and watch it when I wake up... Decisions decisions... Also, yay for ratings going up... Usually ratings go down on the first episode of the week for most dramas, and My Mister is no different, so can't wait for tomorrow's ratings. Will update the ratings table when TNmS's ratings are released.
