  1. Later, actress Lee Jieun shared her first impression on ‘My Mister’. She said, “I received the synopsis of ‘My Mister’ last year. I only got to go through four episodes of the script because I had a hectic schedule at that time. Though the scripted lines were riveting and amazeballs, my mind was clouded with concern of my performances. ‘Will I be able to do well? Not only that I’ve never tried portraying a character like Ji-an, but I’m physically exhausted too.’ Because of that, I wavered a bit and couldn’t give an accurate response to the offer right away.â€

The amazeballs part made me giggle... laugh.png laugh.png

I'm a child, even the word 'amazeballs' makes me giggle...

  2. Idk I'm just going off what I saw a twitter user say. I didn't look at the article itself since I can't read Hangul, but if she's wrong, that's great that the commentators aren't buying the clickbait. I don't think that article is trending anyways so that's good, but whoever is behind Fave's twitter account is hella incompetent.

From the comments that I translated at the top they are calling out the clickbait.

Even if you look at the reactions in the article, the emoticons at the top of the comment section, they are positive.

  3.

the Nilo thing? Apparently it's a 2017 song that suddenly became #1 in one of the charts this morning or yesterday morning despite the E*o and T w ice competition. https://pann-choa.blogspot.com/2018/04/enter-talk-that-song-that-climbed-up.htmlAlso this one

for the Melon thing, they're increasing their fee that's why people are all like "let's jump to youtube red" lol

    http://kpopkfans.blogspot.com/2018/04/streaming-sites-like-melon-to-increase.html

Don't know how trust worthy that twitter account is since it severely mistranslated a comment that Nilo left on his IG. User even called her out in the replies, but she didn't delete the mistranslated tweet or made any correction.

    The tweet in question:

The correct translation would be something like "Please comment appropriately" or "Write your comments moderately". But the translation that used by the twitter account is quite harsh.

  4. is Adblock Plus fine or UBlock Origin is better?

    i use adblock plus

    idk the other.....

adblock plus its good. doesn't slow down the computer but doesn't block everything, but most things.

UBlock Origin is better, it's lighter and doesn't let as many ads pass as AdBlock Plus.

AdBlock Plus started a program that allows some ads, which kinda defeats the purpose of using it, the program is called The Acceptable Ads Program.

  5. A beautiful sight indeed... still waiting for subs!!

Slightly OT but what motivates nb for these articles (and others she likes to represent like this?Is it purely a controversy/clicks thing or does she legit dislike her/embarrassed but doubling down on 2015 bs)

I know a while ago nb mentioned that she found it 'boring' to repeatedly translate positive comments. Hence why she picks negative ones. But she's definitely got ulterior motives now. When she's found a controversy she will repeatedly translate the same types of articles (so I wonder why she doesn't get bored of that...). And she tends to target female idols a lot.

During 2012 stuff nb was repeatedly translating all sorts of comments about iu daily. Eurgh it was actually sickening when I think back to those days. There's also rumours of her being a s**u fan so...

But I remember in 2014, nb was translating all sorts of nice iu posts. That's why it's so confusing cos I don't understand her motives. I remember on this one post she mentioned songs that she enjoys and she mentioned one of iu's b-side tracks. I randomly remember that because it was so odd for her to say that and then translate so much bs about her.

I was thinking as well, say I was a translator and I was translating comments. How would you possibly feel okay with translating disgusting comments that slut shame, body shame and say all sorts of awful things about people. I personally wouldn't be able to do that.

I think we just need to remember that 3,000 upvotes don't represent the public. Even in 2015 with around 40,000 upvotes on those comments iu survived. She'll pull through it all.

NB translates mostly negative stuff, specially when it's negative stuff about females.

The site grew due to T-ARA's scandal in 2012, since it was one of a kind... The other sites available were mostly "news" like All KPop, those sites didn't translate the public opinion like NB did.

So T-ARA's scandal really put NB on the map for the international fandom, and during that time it was relentless. There were multiple articles about it translated every day non stop.

To this day she seems to have a vendetta against them, since she continues to try to find any minuscule article with negative comments about them just to translate, things that have 200 votes at most and irrelevant, but since it's on Nate it's all negative and so she translates it. She only pauses that vendetta when the comments say something nice/neutral about T-ARA to trash someone else, like MBK or KKS.

With T-ARA's scandal she learned that posting negative articles caused the site to be more alive, since the comment section would be more active. With the site being more active, it's more money due to ads. (Use UBlock Origin guys! Not only helps against some sites that have crypto miners that make your CPU go to 100% but also removes ads, you can whitelist sites that you want to support with ads).

Also, she started to use more articles from Nate compared to Naver, even when Naver is more widely used and gets way more votes compared to Nate. Why? Because Nate comments are usually always negative (That's why there is a saying "Nate = Hate", it even rhymes).

She also seems to have a bone to pick with almost every female idol/actress, but specially idols out there. She sometimes translates comments from an article about something random just because there is a negative comment about a female group/idol, even when the article has nothing to do with them.

Notice that there are multiple articles weekly about the drama, but since those are positive they are ignored. The only posts she made about the drama were the initial ones about the casting and title of the drama, and now the ones from the press conference.

If IU was being dragged for her acting each week, you bet your ass that there would be almost weekly articles about it on NB.

Compare to Joy's drama, The Great Seducer, NB translated articles on March 20, March 27 and April 3rd, pretty much weekly. Why? Because they were bashing Joy.

In short, NB translates mostly negative articles because of ads since they increase the page views, so more ads being viewed = more $$$. And negative articles about females because... Well, I have a theory, but I leave it up to you.

  6. Seems like they're done with filming sine Park Hosan already dyed his hair back to brown laugh.png

Also, here's the director's thoughts on the title

    Edit:

The director telling IU that it's ok to be part of the drama despite the controversies

Also here's the full translation of YBJ defending the drama

He already had brown hair during the VLive that they did at the start of the drama, so it might be something about his character?

IU said that she would be filming until May, I think.

Damn girl is really raking in those big company CFs this year fD4JAZe.png

    Updated list:

    Hite Jinro Chamisul Soju

    Sony MDR

    Maxim Light Latte

    CNP Cosmetics

    Kyungdong Pharmaceutical

    Kakao "My Home" game

    Kakao "Onmyoji" game

    Hyundai i30 (w/ Yoo Inna)

    New Balance

    Lotte Mon Cher Choco Pie

    Samsung Card

Woongjin Corp. Water Filter (w/ Park Seo Joon)

Could be for this, a new Hite Jinro's drink.

    DaUQuo8VAAEJzXP.jpg

Since they are both sponsoring Hite Jinro, IU with Chamisul and Park Seo Joon with Max Beer.

It would fit with the "All New" in the CF, since new drink. And the fresh of the drink seem to go with the visuals of the CF.

Also, the drink will be released on April 16th and that is the date in the CF.
