As the saying goes "Strike while the iron is hot.". SOWK will be released in February 2015 so within that span of time the current attention Kris is getting might die down. He has the Chinese media reporting on his every move which brings in more opportunities for him to showcase his talent. If Kris slowed down now, it could take him longer to get to this (media/public attention) peak again. Kris has so far shown good taste in choosing projects to build his new image. I think he is spreading himself out to secure a productive acting/singing career in the future now. That way he doesn't need to worry about it later.
