  1. They honestly need to get SM’s and their artist’s vocal coaches......but pretty sure they wouldn’t because they wouldn’t create the drama that they desperately need and want. Oh that’s right! I remember reading that and now that makes me wonder why in the world the trainers really didn’t put their coaching and vocal abilities to use. I wonder why Soyou told Miyu that it should sound like Yuri’s if it was a stable but actually lower note than the original? I honestly would like to give the trainers the benefit of the doubt and perhaps they do help the trainees out bts, but like Boa they don’t want to take up their screentime? Idk.....what Mnet has shown us makes them look substandard, Hongki even mentioned that the note was really high and even mentioned about them using their chest voice.......but wth, isn’t that almost impossible?
  2. If this really happens to be true I’m all for it! Since it was noted that the centers for the S2 debut evaluation both made the final lineup that means Yena might make it! Yuri might be able to showcase her full vocal ability with that high note and be the main vocal pick.....Not only are Yena and Yuri’s chances of making into the top 12 increased but Miyu might be safe from a potential failed high note. Who knows the trainers might even decide to split up the parts between Miyu and Yuri like they did with her and Goeun.
  3. I don’t know about everyone else but in the beginning I thought Haeyoon was the strongest vocalist in PD48, and was my original main vocal pick. This recent episode though, made me change my mind. With many of the girls on PD48 we can only assume they’re really good by their performances that have been shown to us. The recent ep showcased all vocalists in we together team struggling (Ie. Nako and Chaeyeon rough transition from chest to head voice, Haeyoon shouting/straining, Miyu attempting chest voice only) and the only one who hit the note properly and well was Yuri. I knew Yuri was one of the main vocal candidates but didn’t think she’d have such good range and control over her voice.
  4. I hate how Mnet made it seem worse than it actually was.....you could tell Haeyoon wanted to help her out during their practice session plus if Miyu would have known that Haeyoon was as invested in being the main vocal for “we together†to the point of crying, I doubt she would have pushed her out. IMO the Hyewon and Chowon bit seemed a lot worse but no evil edit for them.
  5. Ok.. and what about Eunbi, who’s known as one of the best dancers of this season, pushing out Chowon, who was considered a main vocal candidate after the position evaluations. Hyewon pushed out Chowon, Miru pushed out Chaewon, and Miho pushed out Chaeyeon. This whole segment was a mess..... Mnet only highlighted Miyu’s moment for drama and ya’ll be feasting on the bait. I like Haeyoon but please don’t compare her or anyone else on PD48 to the JAEHWAN.... He’s on a different level.....😱 It’s been thrown around before that this season’s main vocals are subpar compared to last seasons. Yuri would probably be considered the best as she’s been more consistent and has less trouble hitting the really challenging high notes but even then she’s no Yeonjung, much less a Jaehwan. Now I’m sure with more practice and training all the girls in PD48 would be MUCH better in their respective positions/fortes but keep in mind some things can’t be trained, such as someone’s singing range. Only a few artist in the Kpop industry are born with amazing ranges which are eventually perfected through training. Jaehwan was showcased as a perfect main vocal in S2 whereas many of the main vocalists in PD48 have been shown struggling hitting certain notes. Besides.....Haeyoon despite being one of my main vocal picks since the beginning has less of a chance of making it since not only was she 20th this past elimination round but she’s the only one out of the current main vocals who has not been in the top 12 once (at least from what I remember). Yuri and Chowon seem to be the more respected/recognized ones as they’ve ranked higher than her.
  6. So I watched the episode and.......honestly it wasn’t even as bad as people made it out to seem. There was a point where Miyu hit the right notes but as she tries to project more she struggles. I think Miyu’s struggle lies in the fact that she’s finding her voice again and practically starting from scratch. My guess is that Miyu is/was probably aware that her “old fashioned†singing style (although the most technical) has not only been criticized but also doesn’t fit the gg kpop style so she tried changing it, but she doesn’t know how to mix and support her voice for the sound that the trainers want. Also even if her parts aren’t in her range, almost ALL main vocals have struggled with notes being too high. The more trained ones such as Yuri, Haeyoon, and Goeun eventually managed to sing the high notes that they were struggling with well. I’m not really the type to post and engage in forums but all this negativity and overreacting is getting out of hand, MNET really succeeded in baiting viewers right into their trap. Most of the top ranking girls pushed out other girls for their desired position, and ALL were clearly uncomfortable with doing so. It made me soooo uncomfortable watching how they were making Miyu and Haeyoon’s relationship seem. If anything Miyu and Haeyoon are both desperate to showcase their vocals since Haeyoon is at risk of not making the top 12 and Miyu is scared that she’ll be forgotten and another ep 9 incident will occur.
  7. I originally thought the beginning was pretty good but I could see where people would think she started off weak. Her parts were so good...they sounded on pitch and stable which made me wish she had more parts or was the main focus during the others high notes.
  8. The intro of TTU originally is veryyyy difficult, the notes are so low that even BTS has a hard time projecting those notes (at least from what i can tell in the album version). From miyu’s first performance, I could tell she had really good control of her chest voice so I expected she’d do extremely well for the intro but as the rumors stated it was kinda weak On another note I think she did really well throughout and thought her and gyuri’s vocals fit TTU the best. BTW I keep reading comments about how this is certainly not her best vocal performance (links of her best performance if anyone has some because I’m really curious). I only knew about Miyu and started stanning her after Produce 48, and from the videos I’ve seen of her AKB48 performances, to her YouTube covers...I haven’t seen anything absolutely amazing. If anything I think her Produce 48 performances are a lot better and show her potential as a vocalist. I’ve noticed from her AKB48 performances she has that Japanese singing style but in Produce 48 I hear it less....so idk if it’s just me or PD48 is also challenging her to develop her vocals into something she’s not used to? I’d realllyyyy like know which videos showcase Miyu’s singing abilities, I tried searching on google something like “miyu vocal analysis, miyu vocal range†but nothing pops up...
  9. I was going to say that junji ito’s stuff is all messed up. Other ones: Boku wa Imouto ni Koi o Suru Flowers of evil Dead tube Honestly out of all the manga I’ve read Dead tube was pretty interesting at first and I liked the yandere but it got to the point where it got so messed up that it topped all the other messed up manga.
  10. I’ve been lurking around (forgot my username) the produce 48 thread (and soon this one) ever since I watched the first episode, since I started stanning Miyu (your comment made me want to create a new account to reply). I’m not normally into these shows because of the editing and unfairness...but I started watching every episode because of Miyu. I didn’t know why at first (she’s obviously talented) since I was stanning her soooo much, honestly borderline obsession at some points, and I realized that she’s more than likely an INFP. The more I watch her and find out about her the more she strikes me as an INFP. She kinda reminds me of Namjoon tbh (&Yoonkook). Now that I think about it she really might be an INFP since my fondness of her is similar to the one I have of sohye, NamYoonKook and Chaeyoung.
