So the #8 is a mistake? because following up with their chart performance I had the feeling Oh My did better than home? like oh my charted at 23 on weekly melon in the first week but Home charted at 32 or 33! I think this comeback it looks like they're doing better digitally but they're actually not?!

Agree with everything you're saying and the example you gave is on point! but yeah lyrics when you understand them factor a lot in how much a song is liked. Sometimes I think I wouldn't listen to most of the kpop I listen to if I spoke korean haha Speaking of lyrics

True, but the lyrics issue can go for all songs we don't understand not just this one, so I usually don't factor it in how much I like a song or not. I can appreciate the lyrics of Chili (when I read them), but the song would still sound weird and not very well put together to me no matter what it says. and in the end of the day, if hhu likes this kind of direction for their music, good for them, but it's just not for me. I always wonder though how korean fans perceive songs differently from non-korean speakers, like I wonder if a song I don't like has something so lyrically interesting and deep and I'm missing it, or if a song I like is just not loved because they lyrics suck or are so cringy or childish.

I understand that that's a play on words and they aren't exactly talking about chili sauce haha, but the song, without reading the lyrics in specific, just comes of as ridiculous instead of smart. The autotune doesn't help make it better either! I think I like HHU's previous direction in songs like Trauma, If I, Check-in and lean on me better I guess!

I hope this means something will really happen in Europe in their next tour. I will plan my annual vacation around it just to see them!!! My song ranking so far is this: 1. Home/ Getting closer 2. Come to me/ Shhh . . . 3. Hug/Chilli So I wrote more detailed first thoughts on all the songs since I had the time to do so. This all doesn't take lyrics in consideration at all since I haven't read them yet.

This is from one of their first concerts probably the Boys Wish concert I think! Yeah that coughing was wierd and happened multiple times >,< but I wasn't sure if it's mingyu!! Also the performance was good but some of them has clearer live vocals than others which made it kind of clear who was relying on the backtrack and who was singing live, so the performance was a bit imbalanced i would say?! Duel 9/10 the show is not perfect, but's thrilling, intriguing and the phenomenal performance by Yang Sejong alone makes it worth the watch!! Temperature of love 8.5/10 I loved this show despite it being a bit slow and almost solely focused on the romance/relationship aspect with not much going on in other aspects of the plot, but I actually loved that about it. -
the boys did amazing tonight, though the camera work was shitty throughout the whole show! Also i was surprised they didn't participate in a single collab stage!!! I wonder why?!

Heartless City 9/10 Life on Mars 8.5/10 Falling for Innocence 8.5/10 I've been on a Jung Kyung Ho roll these days and he's been consistently amazing in every single show I've watched so far! -
Very long high notes in non-ballad songs, like dance and energetic tracks are extremely annoying and unnecessary, it actually ruins the song. such vocal things are more suited to ballads or mid-tempos not dance tracks. Not every song needs a long high note or a high note at all to be a good song really, or more like a high note don't make songs better.

Very stable and very very clear! I'm not sure who was lip-syncing or not but for DK he sure wasn't and he was slaying! True True! I knew he was good but this performance was something else!

I'll have to come out and say woah DK! boy vocally carried this whole performance and then some! he sang his parts perfectly and every other little thing here and there that they don't usually sing live and he sounded splendid throughout all of it!
