Yep! Jae Kyung even had a cameo in it. The program only aired in a particular area of Japan that not many Japanese Rainbow fans get since they do not live in that area. Some channels in Japan and Korea are only aired in specific places. One of my friends had a friend record it for us, so I put it up on my YouTube channel. I cut it into 6 parts because I removed the commericals and YouTube won't let me put it as one full video (too many past warnings made me lose that feature). By show do you mean a TV show appearance or an actual show based around Rainbow that just happens to air in Japan? Ji Sook was recently on that Japanese variety program. I love Rainbow on Japanese programming myself.

The chances of a comeback this year are extremely slim even though it's only the end of August right now with a few months to go. A couple of weeks ago, No Eul & Ji Sook said on radio that they have no laid out plans yet for promotional activities this year and that they are concentrating on individual activities right now. This is the 3rd time in the last few months a Rainbow member has said this. Given how 2012 went and that Rainbow has nearly 3 years of hiatus period added up in their 5 years, going a entire year without a comeback shouldn't be surprising. 2014 in a alot of ways is like 2012 was, just subtract the Japanese releases and replace them with more drama, variety and magazines. The members also got dogs this year and they hardly use the group dorm. Outside of BLAXX promo period and occasional Birthday get togethers, the members have pretty much lived at home this year rather then together. I know Ji Sook is living with her father and Yoon Hye is often at home watching dogs and her nephew. Rainbow hasn't been as tight knit this year in being together due to their individual activities. Even in 2012 they remained together all the time, so that is a difference too. They hardly have time to be together outside of some occasional performances, but even then a member is often missing either for the rehearsal or the actual performance. Not many of their Birthdays have had all the members be there either. Woo Ri's drama runs until the middle of October and Hyun Young's sitcom goes till the end of November. Jae Kyung is hosting Get It Beauty and right now has a short drama series herself. Ji Sook has Entertainment Weekly and Morning Forum to do every week. Seung A and No Eul get occasional variety. 4 of the members just became promotional models for a mobile RPG too. Only Yoon Hye is left without something sadly. Yoon Hye has been neglected and left out of alot by DSP this year even when Rainbow is doing something like going to the Philippines or store opening events for example. Yoon Hye's been writing alot lately that the other members are often busy and that she's very lonely and bored. As soon as The Eldest ended, DSP tossed her aside in finding her things to do basically. It takes time to produce a solid album between the songs, the concept decision, shooting the MV, etc. etc. so between the individual activity commitments until at least November and the fact DSP still has no plans for Rainbow set this year... I say right now don't expect Rainbow to comeback this year. I rather they take their time to produce a solid album then to comeback extremely rushed with something lackluster. Plus, like Sergel said 2014 been a bad year, so I don't mind them stepping out of this year for that reason as well. As for the Japan thing it's been over 2 and a half years since Rainbow released something there, so I don't think DSP will be re-exploring it anytime soon. Rainbow has never forgotten there fans in Japan because really they are their more loyal fanbase, they travel to Korea sometimes, plus they have their Japan Fanclub site where they record Birthday message videos thanking the fans, etc. etc. When Rainbow originally debuted in Japan, DSP said the plan was to promote Kara in Korea and Rainbow in Japan and then they switch back and forth, but that didn't last very long. While Rainbow releasing music is great and I would love them to do it more I also care about their happiness and if they are happy doing what they are right now I'm ok and content with waiting. The things they are involved in are kinda their future post-idol careers anyway so it's good experience, plus I still get enough content to run the fansite and interaction with them, so it's all good to me on waiting it out. My love and care for them isn't just about the music.

2012 was not as inactive with music as everyone thinks it was. Though they were Japanese releases they had GONNA GONNA GO!, Over The Rainbow, CANDY GIRLS!, Sweet and it was a repackage but Over The Rainbow SE came out at the end of the year as well. They also had several fan events in 2012. Hyun Young had her collarbone injured and vocal cord surgery, so not much could of been happened with that. I think fans forget she went through that. Most of the song material for the year was done before her vocal cord surgery occurred. You can't force for any more new material after that. From a Korean release standpoint they had some OST releases (Ji Sook, W-Foundation) and Woo Ri appeared in Double K's music video. I know it doesn't suit somes taste but that year also had drama/sitcom roles for Woo Ri, Jae Kyung and No Eul. Seung A had The Romantic and Idol as well. In alot of ways 2014 is resembling 2012, but there was music released throughout that year. This year it's just less music, more solo activities in it's place and occasional China marketing.

^ More or less when Kara's current contract runs out, Rainbow only has a few months left on their own, so they basically share their remaining time with Kara still. I think Rainbow is a 1 and done contract too. Kara always signs short term contracts so that is why theirs come up quicker then Rainbow's own. Rainbow would be lucky to get 4 years of promotion out of that 7. Like I said earlier 3 out of the 5 was basically filled with hiatuses. A 7 year contract is a long time and by then some of the members will be in their 30s. It's obvious the members have their futures planned with their hobbies, interests and current solo activities, so I think they will move on once it's over. They will look back at their time at DSP and decide it's not worth continuing. Rainbow's actually blessed that way compared to other idols. They have their post idol days pretty much figured out, plus with the downtime they get they also get to eat well, see their families, etc. etc. I think it's obvious they signed a 7 year contract at debut in a cute manner because of Rainbow 7. I think Rainbow will end up similar to Fin.K.L. in which they let their contracts end, they parted and moved on without any discord or disband announcement. Hyun Young will become the Hyori of the group and turn into a soloist. The rest will go on to do other things in the industry or just fade away from it completely. It wouldn't be fair to Rainbow to have another group come in and take even more time away from them. Rainbow has more experience and history. They shouldn't be brushed aside of a new act like that. But, DSP doesn't seem to have much dedication towards them because of their past history with sales, not winning yet, etc. etc. and they did let AST'1 basically fold for a new group (ironically that was Rainbow). I mean this as no knock on Youngji too as from what I've seen Woo Ri liked her, but... Youngji is just coming into Kara and already she is set up better then Rainbow. That has to hurt a little :/ Sadly so many international fans like to joke about Rainbow as well...

Crafting her trade to become a actress while also helping as staff with her school's plays, etc. etc. Don't worry about her she's extremely determined to become an all around actress. Said she enjoy being in a sitcom herself LOL No Eul got Accidentally Met Vacation, Two Man Show and The Big Issue Magazine, so she's getting a lil more chances. It's just Yoon Hye :/

^ When DSP doesn't know what they want to do with Rainbow they kinda cast them aside. The members have mentioned that in past to a degree. Jae Kyung also admitted last year she was kinda annoyed/jealous of how they didn't get much of anything while Kara got plenty in 2012. That a resentment kindof exists and she didn't hid it. That's why the two groups aren't truly close. Rainbow's lost some promotions due to DSP favoring Kara and having to fix things with Kara. I'm sure that has left some unsettling feeling on Rainbow towards them. I kinda get sad myself when I see some Rainbow fans loving Baby Kara so much that they wish for DSP to make a new group out of the remaining members. By wishing that you are basically advocating even further neglect on Rainbow by DSP. Last thing DSP needs right now is another group when they can't even properly give Rainbow and A-JAX the time of day. I feel as if you want another group by DSP, don't cry later when Rainbow doesn't get more promotions. Can't have it both ways. ^ The video is about power bloggers and how Ji Sook is a popular one ^^ I hope you guys don't think I was being negative above, I was just letting you know the reality of how things go with DSP/Rainbow :( With that said I'm doing my best to get a interview with Rainbow for Visual Glow. I've been attempting this for 3 years now xD Will never give up until I reach that goal! I also have two of my song lyrics I wrote for fun back in 2012 for Rainbow to help me deal with their hiatus back then... currently being produced into music. They will be presented to DSP Don't know if it will work, but you can't achieve anything without trying. At least Rainbow would know I tried and that mean something on it's own.

I could even say 6 are being worked sololy right now as DSP has been finding No Eul some work as of late (variety, magazine). It's just Yoon Hye, who I wish they find another drama role for. Woo Ri's drama runs until October, Hyun Young's new sitcom that will be starting in August will run until October as well. Seung A is currently going to school and is involved with her acting department in various roles, she also gets occasional variety work. Ji Sook has Entertainment Weekly, her blog and variety shows. Hyun Young has Homme and OST work as of late (honestly this is her year of all the members) and Jae Kyung has God's Quiz 4 until August and hosts Get It Beauty. Outside of occasional full group appearances, BLAXX is occasionally promoted from time to time still as well. DSP is re-transitioning everything under their agency right now from Kara to their staff and office workers, Rainbow & A-JAX aren't priorities for them right now, so the girls are doing solo activities for income and experience. During the BLAXX promo itself there were several instances where you could see that DSP was getting desperate with Rainbow and as a company itself. DSP has given Rainbow 3 long hiatuses (6 months between Not Your Girl-A, 1 year 8 months between Sweet Dream-Tell me Tell me and currently 1 year since Sunshine ended) so this is pretty normal to be truthful and really not surprising. Rainbow's nearing 5 years in their 7 year contract with DSP and so far with all those hiatuses added up that is over 3 years of the 5 that have been a hiatus. When it comes to having Kara in their agency, Rainbow will always be put on the backburner. In 2012, DSP had to fix their relationship with Kara over their lawsuit against them and now in 2014 they are trying to fix them in general as a new 4. This is just how things are and always will be, so there's no point in arguing with DSP about it as a long-time fan I've accepted this long ago. I am happy with anything I get, though I suppose it's easier for me to deal with waiting and putting up with it since I post daily material and interact with the girls. To be truthful 2014 is reincarnacion of 2012 as of now. In 2012 it was Pixie, dramas, OSTs, a reality show for A-JAX and occasional activities in Japan. In 2014 it is BLAXX, dramas, OSTs, a reality show for Kara and occasional activities in China. I know some friends around the industry and from what I know, around the industry, Rainbow are viewed as girls who can do just about everything extraordinary except properly promote themselves as a group. Around the industry they are viewed as a group that for some reason just never works out when they are promoting. In some cases, the industry doesn't even really view them as a idols, just extremely talented girls on their own that do not fully click together. Granted the promo fails fall on DSP and not Rainbow themselves, but this is just something they can't seem to shake off, especially with all the hiatus downtime they go through. I mean no harm when I say this either because if you know me no one has been there and more loyal to them over the years. Rainbow just never gets any momentum to stay ahead. Hyun Young's reinterpretation of Uhm Jung Hwa's Betrayal of the Rose for Jo Young's Hoon 20th Anniversary Album Seung A said in a magazine interview recently her dream is to become an actress who can take on any sort of character role. She also said it is Hyun Young's desire to become a soloist. It would not surprise me if Hyun Young gets a promotion in the next year like Jiyeon, Hyomin or Hyosung has gotten. DSP seems to like to do side projects with Rainbow more so then full group, plus again this is kinda been Hyun Young's year (OSTs, solo release, Homme, sitcom role, Maxim, etc. etc.).

Ah well it was 4am in the morning for me when I was on, I hardly got sleep, I had other people in the house sleeping, so I couldn't be too loud. I was a little nervous because I knew many would watch and because I didn't want to wake up anyone in my house LOL plus I hate wearing my glasses, but at that time of the morning I'm not putting my contacts in :P My eyes had to act up during the middle of the show due to lack of sleep. Truthfully I'm not scared to do anything for Rainbow, even if it is embarrassing and I look dumb from it I will still do it. Just later afterwards, I can not watch it LOL I find my ASC episode too embarrassing. On the quiz, you probably notice they need 3 hit songs and I named 4. This is because they say Maha for Mach even though both are entirely different words LOL I forgot this when I said Mach on the show, so it didn't count.

Thank you TaeYuSu ^^ and me saying Sookie on ASC was my mistake. I'm so used to calling her that and she knows that too. Habit of mine, so I was unaware I blurted it out LOL my entire ASC experience was made before the show because of Rainbow's rehearsal spazz. I didn't even speak to them during rehearsal, they just noticed me on the screen and went nuts LOL I had a different tab open when they walked on the stage. I was tweeting when suddenly I heard my name being blurted out by 7 voices over and over >< after Rainbow calmed down they sat and Ji Sook & Seung A did a ton of fan service poses together, which is funny because SookA is my favorite pairing. Makes me wonder if they knew that too.

Ji Sook was very happy to see me on ASC. You guys didn't see the rehearsal before the show. The minute Rainbow came onto the set within two seconds they noticed me and went into a spazz of "Tommy Tommy It's Tommy Tommy WOAH he's the one who updates our photos!" The ASC camera staff and other crew were shocked how much they were spazzing over noticing me. They were all wow! They really know you! The questions I asked on ASC were in the script ASC wrote for me. You guys probably don't know this but ASC is somewhat scripted. I have to go off that script they write for me and I can not go outside of it. I have to go word by word of what is written for me. I submitted a ton of other possible questions besides the ones chosen to ask on ASC and the writing staff chose those for me. Such as... Will you come to America one day, have you ever been? What is your favorite gift you have received? If you could collaborate with someone, who would it be? What type of concept would you like to do next? What past track would you of liked to perform if given a chance? If you could act on a show or in a musical what role would you like to play? Who sleeps the most in Rainbow? Name one thing you can't live without. When will Rainbow comeback to Japan? What is your favorite verse in Sunshine? I had no specific questions I wanted to ask them. I just posted a ton of things I've wondered in my application. It was 4am and I had to be quiet with other people sleeping in the house, so I had to hold back some on the show as well. I was being called so many words and then a petition appeared. It was too much for me to handle and it got to me for a bit. I felt like my love was taken from me as their messages made me question some things. When I don't have that love I lose my passion to work hard for fans. I hate how some fans judge me and make statements about me when they aren't as connected to the group as me. They haven't been around the fandom as long as me, they haven't been to events like fan signs or received DMs or see the ASC rehearsal, so they shouldn't speak on what they do not know. But, I'm over it now.
