I’ve seen so called Blinks on this site be really nasty about Lisa and it makes me sad. When the news about Jennie’s solo came out, the things people on here said about Jennie and Lisa were vile. I can’t believe someone on this thread downvoted a post simply wondering about a dance video for Lisa. If people aren’t OT4, I don’t get why they are in here. This is a thread to celebrate all the girls. The fandom already has far too many OT1, OT2 and OT3 stans, and the lack of group activity is just going to make it worse.

I have to admit, I rolled my eyes when I found out the tour was in January. It would have made so much sense to release a group comeback in November or December, possibly a full album, then release any solos afterwards. I was a big 2ne1 fan so unfortunately I’m used to how awful YG is with girl groups, but I had hoped some lessons would have been learned!

I completely agree, and I say this as a BTS fan! Every fandom has its issues and we have discussed the problems with our own fandom here but my goodness, ARMY can be so ridiculous at times. I can’t believe the awful things they have been saying about Lisa just because of her vlog, as if Jungkook invented it. The thing that makes it even more stupid is that Lisa didn’t even edit her video anyway! They were even trying to drag Jennie because she has the same breed of dog as Taehyung or something. I’m not joking. I’m tired of seeing them dragging BP on Twitter, especially as they get thousands of RT’s. I don’t understand why some fans feel the need to drag other groups for no reason. BP are my bias group but I also love Big Bang, BTS, EXO, EXID, Twice, RV, Ikon etc. Why can’t people behave like adults?

I can’t believe there are Jungkook fans trying to say Lisa copied him with her vlog. There are countless vlogs with that style, he didn’t invent it ! Honestly BP really do get hate for just breathing.

I’m so happy with how well the song is doing, it’s already one of my favourite Twice songs. The outfits, the choreography, the melody... it’s brilliant. Each member stands out in different ways

The sad thing is I wouldn’t be surprised! Let’s hope not. As I said in another thread, it wouldn’t even surprise me if YG counted this as Jisoo’s solo project as well haha. I really want CL to get an album and be promoted more, but Jennie isn’t to blame for that. I feel the same regarding how much promotion YG gives Winner and Ikon compared to BP. It disappoints me, but I don’t blame them personally and I still love their music.

Unfortunately I don’t think we are getting a group comeback for a while. The fact the tour starts in January makes the decision to prioritise a solo release over a group release even more baffling. A group comeback in November or December before the tour would have been perfect, followed by solo releases for all the girls after that. I honestly feel next year we may get one group comeback and a solo for Rosé, and that will be it! YG could be doing so much more.

Agreed. Of course people can have their preferences but I don’t like it when people try and argue over who is the most talented. Blackpink wouldn’t be the same without ANY of the members, and they all have the potential to be great soloists as well. Jennie isn’t just the main rapper. She is also beautiful, a great singer and dancer. Lisa isn’t just the main dancer. She is a great rapper, gorgeous and a much better singer than some people give her credit for. Rosé isn’t just a main vocal. She is so pretty and her dancing is so good that in many other groups she could be the main dancer. Jisoo isn’t just the visual. She is a great singer and has the potential to be an amazing actress as well. Together they are a hell of a team, if only YG would realise that and show them off more!

To be honest, I always felt the promise of solos for the other girls was just a way to try and calm fans down. I feel we may get one from Rosé some time in 2019, but other than that I don’t hold out much hope sadly. It’s not Jennie’s fault at all, but the longer there is between her solo and the other girls getting them, the more I feel it will cause issues. A solo for any of the girls at this point is just a bad idea. It’s happening now, and I will support Jennie, but the timing is wrong. A world tour with 9 songs and a solo for Jennie? I honestly feel like they are short changing fans, as well as the girls. We saw how upset the girls were last year when they only released one song. I really feel for them, they must be so frustrated at times. I wonder how many songs they have recorded compared to songs they have released? YG just can’t seem to manage girl groups properly. I loved 2ne1 and the way Minzy in particular was treated was awful. Now what he is doing to CL... it’s hard not to feel pessimistic!

Jenlisa look incredible for Halloween! The fact they still look gorgeous like that says it all haha. 30m for Kiss and Makeup despite the lack of promotion is phenomenal I know people who don’t know much about K pop at all who like the song and have asked me about Blackpink. YG really needs to maximise their potential. A solo for each member and a full album before the world tour would be brilliant.

The teaser is amazing, it definitely reminds me of LOA. I have a feeling this will be on one of their strongest ever comebacks

I love Jisoo questioning why Lisa was crying reading her letter as if we didn’t all witness her being an emotional wreck without Lisa for a few days haha. She also told Blinks it was her who said “Hey boy†in Whistle, as if we didn’t already know! Hopefully she gets a proper rest if she has to get up so early

If people actually investigated the Thai hashtag situation properly they would know that the hate was directed at Jennie AND Lisa. They were both getting a lot of hate from it. All the girls have akgaes, but people are drawing attention to in by singling one group of fans out instead of ignoring it. The mature thing for us all to do is to rise above it. Those fans won’t go away unfortunately, but they are just a vocal minority. It’s just as disappointing to see Jennie fans or supposed BP fans use this as an opportunity to insult Lisa as it has been to see Lisa, Jisoo, Rosé or supposed BP fans use the solo single as a chance to insult Jennie. Responding to hate with hate doesn’t solve anything, and it just makes the situation worse. Honestly I feel bad for all the girls, but Jennie and Lisa especially. If they saw their own fandom taking things out on them they would be crushed. That’s the last thing I will say because I really do want the thread to get back to normal, but I hope people realise they are making things worse and more divided.

Honestly, I have seen several so called Blinks say awful things about Lisa and Jennie on these forums, and I don’t want them to start spreading their hate on this thread. This is an appreciation thread for Blackpink, which means all the members! Some of the comments in here about Lisa :( The targeting of SEA fans in particular makes me uncomfortable too. All the members have akgaes, and they come from all over the place. People shouldn’t let these fans make them think badly of any of the members. Let’s not argue over popularity, lines, activities etc. Let’s use this thread to be positive

Agreed. On these forums alone I have seen people who claim to be Blinks bash one of the girls to try and boost another. Lisa and Jennie in particular get a lot of hate and it’s sad. All the girls love each other and would hate to see fans behave this way. No matter what happens, we should all support OT4 and that’s it. Some people seem to respond to hate comments from OT1 or OT3 fans by writing hate comments themselves, which doesn’t help. I even see big “fan†accounts on IG and Twitter trying to stir up drama regarding who is most popular, who has the most lines etc. The hate Blackpink get from antis is bad enough, we don’t need the fandom to become even more divided. We should rise above comments from antis or akgaes and continue supporting Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé By hurting one of the girls, people hurt them all.
