Even for YG, the lack of songs in Blackpink’s discography is ridiculous. It still bothers me how 2ne1 were treated, but even they had a full album in 2010 after debuting in 2009! Their management of girl groups has become even worse, they don’t seem to have learned any lessons. But there HAS to be a full album at some point. Perhaps we will get one before the European part of the tour starts, or maybe afterwards. But surely we can’t go another year without getting one! Another collaboration would be cool but it shouldn’t be prioritised.

I love this post! They looked like they were having so much fun

Delusional shippers mostly. It is pathetic the amount of fans who were just waiting for them to break up because it interrupted their fantasies of Jennie dating her band members, or Kai dating his. It shows such a lack of respect for them. Well, they got their wish. It’s a shame they can’t consider Jennie and Kai’s feelings instead of focusing on their own. I’m waiting for the day idols can date openly without fearing the reaction. We don’t own them!

I’m not surprised about Jennie and Kai. After they were outed by Dispatch I had a feeling they wouldn’t last much longer. The attention and scrutiny was probably too much. Of course relationships don’t usually last that long at that age anyway, but the scrutiny was probably too much for them to cope with. Even Blinks were saying they were fake, or that she is selfish, which is disheartening. I just hope it definitely was Kai and Jennie’s choice to break up.

They probably got told to avoid posting on IG for a while after Jennie’s dating news. Kai hasn’t posted anything this year either. I’m sure they will get back to posting normally eventually.

She looks so happy This is the perfect time for the girls to go to Thailand, especially Lisa. Apparently they even had several Billboards with respect Lisa on it. As I said before, it’s sad that it was necessary, but she has been showered with love. For her to perform in her home country, address the crowd in her own language and feel how proud they are of her will be fantastic.

Ageeed. The racism against Lisa has always been a problem, even before debut. Sometimes it is in subtle ways, like her not getting much screen time for BP performances at awards shows, and sometimes it is more overt with people literally dragging her and belitting her openly just because she is from Thailand. Of course a lot of Koreans are not like that, but there are some who look down on people from SEA. Lisa often barely says anything in group interviews and I wonder if this plays a part. Of course she might just be shy, but it is bound to affect her. I remember her also ranking herself last in looks and saying she doesn’t feel beautiful. She is a stunning girl, but she clearly doesn’t see that. The hate for her and Jennie is really disheartening, and I just hope they are both able to remain positive and realise that the people who adore them far outweigh the people who are trying to drag them down. Hopefully the people posting racist comments or conspiracy theories about Jennie and Kai being fake will get reprimanded.

It is awful that she has had to deal with so much xenophobia. I’m sad the respect Lisa hashtag had to happen, but it has been nice to see people writing such kind things about her. It’s the same with the protect Jennie hashtag. It shouldn’t have had to happen either, but it’s nice to see people rallying around her. Being Thai and dating someone are not reasons to be hated! Also, the photo of young Lisa is so cute!

Her nerves were definitely to be expected. I thought she handled herself well. Hopefully as time goes on she won’t feel so awkward about it. It really is ridiculous that she had to hide her relationship in the first place, but I hope people who are angry about it now begin to accept it. Her and Kai should be able to date openly without fear of negativity. Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa were there for her as always. It’s great she has them there to support her.
