Jisoo is just in a long line of examples of people deciding she isn't straight because they think she's hot. It is of course the same with morons who won't entertain the idea of idols being gay or bi, even ones like Key who have made it pretty clear they are not straight.

Also, it's opposite sex, not gender. That feeds into the homophobic "hearts not parts" crap so popular these days.

It's been obvious Jisoo was dating for a while. Honestly, if people follow BP they would know she has never shown any interest in girls. In fact, she seems pretty conservative but not homophobic. 

Similar to people always suggesting Irene is gay based on nothing. That's the issue with these threads, it's so much wishful thinking.

People are joking right? Jisoo's heteronornative comments prove she is straight. Never understood why people thought otherwise, aside from wishful thinking. No lesbian or bi girl would make such comments about men and women not being friends.

She has said heteronornative stuff before, so I'm disappointed not surprised she would make a statement that ignores LGBT peeps. People in this thread need to learn to give up on certain idols lol. Lisa on the other hand... 

I wish I could find the live where Lisa said something about a girl and Jisoo was like "but you are both girls". Not saying she is homophobic but straight for sure.

Honestly, Jennie is defo straight but Lisa saying this doesn't get talked about enough. I don't get why anyone suspects Jisoo or Rosé when they have indicated they are straight many times, even from pre debut (trust me, I followed them before anyone knew them!). Chaelisa and Jensoo are also ships majorly pushed by YG, so no one should buy that shit. But Lisa...I don't get why people here dismiss talk about her. The way she fawned over girls on YWY2 as well... Hmmm.  

I’m so confused by people listing Habits by Tove Lo as a LGBT song. I googled it to find more info to see if I missed something, but she said she wrote it about her boyfriend! There are references to picking up daddies too haha.

I would also caution people here not to read into ships, they are literally promoted by companies and therefore not real. People will only be disappointed if they buy into that shit, and it’s mostly aimed at the hetero crowd.

With regards to the rest of your message, dating scandals do have a negative impact, but mostly on social media and just for a few days, weeks at most. So I guess I don't see them as this huge sword hanging over the idols' head. I don't think they are as big a threat for idols or companies from a monetary pov as people think (at least from 3rd-4th generation groups), but I do acknowledge the negative impact on the idols' mental health. And with regards to couples never being seen together, you have a point, but I also think that idols are in general very private people. We don't see them with family members or non-idol friends, and even when they hang out with other idols, we don't see it unless they upload something on Instagram. So, why should we see them with their partners? 

I guess my point is that, to me, K-entertainment (for 3rd/4th gen groups) is not that different from Hollywood in the sense that PR stunts can and do happen, as they don't cause a monetary loss for the companies. Not saying that every relationship that is made public is fake, of course, it's probably not the majority. 

Trust me, I am a big Twice fan, and the Once fandom loses their shit whenever Heechul even vaguely mentions Momo. He has been accused of being a predator and of corrupting her etc. They are literally never publicly seen together. I’m a huge Taeyeon fan too, and one of the reasons she suffered so much was because of the reaction to her and Baekhyun, it left a huge scar for her. Jennie’s IG comments are filled with slut shaming comments. 

If you really believe there are PR relationships in K entertainment then I really don’t know what else to say to you. It just doesn’t happen. I wish idols could be open about relationships but it’s just not the way things work.

Disagree. Of course they aren’t all career ending. But they all have a negative impact. There is a reason no confirmed couple is ever seen publicly together even after everyone knows they are an item. Heechul gets shit whenever someone asks about Momo and he dares answer.

Like I said, I’ve been into K entertainment for years and though dating is more accepted, there is a reason everyone still hides their relationships unless found out. Hyuna and Dawn are the glorious exception, love the way they flaunt it! But relationships in general being taboo shows how damn hard it must be to be LGBT openly.

Interesting, as a BP fan since the start the only one I have questioned is Lisa, some of her quotes about Jennie are a trip. They read like fake subs. But Rosé is more likely to be into girls than Jisoo or Jennie IMO. I think maybe the Jennie and Lisa being separated stuff, which I’m sure everyone has seen clips of by now, is more likely to try and hide how Lisa acts around her.

Either way, all my girls seem totally cool and supportive when it comes to LGBT stuff, which isn’t always the case with idols.

I have never understood why people think Irene is a lesbian. None of the reasoning makes sense to me, including the purple friend story. In fact that story literally fits how all my straight friends were at school with girls they admired! I’ve heard pretty strong rumours about her having a long term boyfriend. It may not be true, but the Irene hates men thing is just a fandom joke that got out of hand.

The Chen situation and the fact Jennie has been hooking up with GD for a year just goes to show we don’t know. But for me, the only RV member who has ever seemed anything other than straight is Yeri. But yeah, it’s all speculation. 

He better treat Miss Jennie Kim right! Hope she is left alone, the stalking is messed up and it happened to her twice. She deserves to live a life, dating is natural.

Heechul and Momo are definitely 100% genuine. Trust me, no one in K entertainment would fake a relationship. It is career ending for some, and everyone gets hate for it. Baekhyun and Taeyeon suffered for years from their scandal, and now Jennie is getting slut shamed majorly whilst GD is being called a predator and a groomer. It’s not like Hollywood at all. Even actors like Song Song couple from CLOY pretended they weren’t together for so long. I’ve been into K pop and K dramas for longer than I can remember and it’s always rough!!!

Heechul even admitted he pretended to be gay to get closer to girls and also because he didn’t want to upset gay fans. But he is a unique case, no other idol would pretend to be gay. They all do fan service to please shippers, but that’s a different story. Queer baiting in K pop is a huge issue IMO, but I don’t blame the idols. They are doing the bidding of their overlords!

The stalking of Jennie is indeed disturbing, the poor girl has has to deal with it twice now. But Dispatch actually has a rule that says they will only reveal heterosexual couples, they won’t out same sex couples. I wish they didn’t out any couple, but at least they aren’t putting people in danger by outing them as LGBT.

I honestly find it quite confusing as someone who follows them closely because Jisoo and Rosé to me don’t ping at all and have not shown signs of being into girls. I’ve seen all the so called receipts and to me they seem like allies at best. Lisa has said and done a lot questionable things so it just surprised me that she is labelled as straight alongside Jennie. I do think Jennie is probably straight, after all it’s not like Hollywood where you can gain through a fake relationship, dating gets idols so much hate! But as I said the clips of them being told not to touch each other by staff is weird. It is weird because companies usually push ships, like Jensoo, Chaelisa, Seulrene, MoonSun, Chuvves, Michaeng, Sooshu etc. It’s all so fake and scripted. I do think Moonbyul isn’t straight though.

I think unless people give pretty strong hints like Yoohyeon, Yubin and Soyeon it is hard to know for sure and it’s up to them to say so. But Lisa being into girls wouldn’t shock me at all!

As a fan since the beginning, the only BP member who personally makes me wonder is Lisa. I don’t like to speculate too much about people sexuality but she has done many things that have made me think:

1. The way she is with Jennie- Where do I start with this? I am sure it has been posted before, but the interview her and Rosé did when she said her only problem with Jennie is that she is too sexy and makes her heart beat fast was a trip! Then a solo interview she did when she said her ideal woman was Jennie, after not being able to answer the ideal man question before coming up with “someone like my Dad”. Wow. Both times the interviewers were stunned. I do believe Jennie herself is straight, though there have been a few odd incidents where they are separated on camera. Compare that to the ludicrously OTT Jensoo and Chaelisa fan service and it’s quite interesting. Those two pairings have made it clear they are like sisters since the beginning, and you can see it in their genuine interactions. Lisa with Jennie? Seems like a crush.
2. Obscure LGBT songs- Now, I am not one of those people who think idols who like LGBT stuff must be LGBT themselves. No way. Liking books or films or songs is normal, and you don’t have to relate to it. But Lisa has recommended or used a lot of pretty obscure LGBT related songs. Headaches by Raveena is a prime example, the video is a trip! Honey by Kehlani is also her favourite song.
3. Not heteronormative Now I firmly believe all the BP girls are allies, but I have noticed the other girls being heteronormative when it comes to answering about ideal types and generally talking about dating. Lisa has never done that and often avoids using male pronouns. 
4. Getting flustered with girls- If anyone has watched YWY, they will have seen how she got flustered over cute girls, even going red as a beetroot when calling one girl sexy. Then there was her reaction when Sunmi kissed her on the cheek, she was so flustered.
5. Never linked with men- She is the one BP member who hasn’t had strong rumours about her dating guys. Jennie has dated two men publicly now, Jisoo pre debut had messages talking about hot guys and has been linked heavily with a footballer and non famous guys, whilst Rosé has made it pretty clear or strongly hinted she broke up with a guy recently. Lisa is shipped with many men but has never been linked to one, and many prediction or rumour accounts say she gets asked out by many male idols but isn’t interested.

Anyway, sorry for the essay. I could be wrong but it’s just my personal feelings on this.

Harry Style just followed Jennie on instagram and some blinks are going wild spamming him to follow the other members. Is like DJ Snake 2.0. Maybe even crazier which is so embarrassing.

I wish fans wouldn’t do that. People can follow who they want! The whole DJ Snake situation was ridiculous.

Great performances from the girls today! Loved Lisa at the end of KTL. The duality between the two stages was great too. DKWTD has really intricate choreography, I hope we get a dance practice video for that too
