  1. Wonyoung was in a MV i guess?

Besides that i dont know much about Korean trainees (nor the 48 girls but here i get to know all of 48 girls information)

Are there any thread discussion about the korean trainees in PD48?

    Im such a noob  (´;д;`)

If you watched the ep you would have seen the part where the trainees came in and when An Yujin came in ppl were like "oh, a famous person" because she was already the face for a contact lens advertisement.  Other trainees were already child actors or starred in commercials or had roles in music videos and that sort of thing.  Almost all of Stone Ent's trainees were on Idol School, and others were on other competition shows before (Lee Chaeyeon).  So there are definitely trainees who are already somewhat exposed to the public even if you're not a company stan that follows pre-debut trainees.

  2. I dont think there is much information of Korean trainees, no instagram no yotube videos, or other sources.

just rely on the first episode of PD48. Only I can find are Gaeun, and Gyuri (but not much)

Edit: Also, I don't see why everyone has an issue with japanese voting because they would just vote for the people they already know and like when we have korean trainees who were already popular with the korean public and yet everyone is totally fine with lol

  3. I feel that Miyu and other unpopular (unlike Jurina/Sakura who is in another level of rank) 48 members will benefit from this.

Miyu is already gaining popularity, not just her looks, but her skill and other attractiveness is eyecatching.

I dont want this to be another type of war / vote among 48 fans.

im watching this as 3rd version of Produce 101, so i want to see trainees , and members

who did not have opportunities to shine to the audience :)

After some thoughts, this "Korean only" vote system is fair among J-trainees. If i-fans, in which Japanese ones will be included, can vote the result on J-side will simply reflect that of election, unpopular members keep being unpopular, no hope. If only the Korean can vote, those never ranked or ranked lowly in election have better chance to turn the table. But, yes, this system is unfair between K-pop and J-pop trainees.

I'm done with charisma etc. comparison shits. K-pop fans are K-pop fans because we feel K-pop performance is charismatic, captivating. We stan some specific K- idols 'coz we find them charming. K-idols don't know how to be cute? Say that to Choi Yena. She's fucking cuter than half of 48 girls in this show. And, in my opinion, when you "try" to be cute, you aren't cute. K-idols aren't as entertaining on variety shows? This is why we keep watching Weekly Idol/Idol Room or any fucking video our faves filmed?

  4. Lot of chinese members have good vocals.

What comes to my mind is Henri. He is canadian, but still...'foreign member"

    and Jackson from GOT7

Jia from MissA has vocal skills too.

Thinking about it... Miyu actually has a really uphill battle. It's not that rare for a kpop group to have a foreign member. Chinese and Japanese the most common, with some Thai members.

How many of those non-Korean ethnicity idols actually get many lines? Kpop companies don't really cast non-Koreans for their singing ability. They are looking for generally just visual appeal. You could almost argue it's like kpop companies specifically DO NOT WANT their non-Korean ethnicity idols to be very good singers.

I can only think of perhaps Fei from MissA for a non-korean female idol who was a lead vocal

Im really curious if Jurina and Sakura makes it to top 11, how are they going to deal which

both AKB48 and PD48 schedule? and does hardcore (Jurina/Sakura) Japanese 48 fans like their idol being on this show?

If Jurina/ Sakura focus on this more, they have less time to focus on their main activities(?)

and I looked through, and i think some K netizens boycotting this show is mainly due to this

I personally find her looks very elegent .

More like an high profile japanese actress, and she does have something different from other AKB members which

does makes her more appealing smile.png

Not really, lots of wota don't find her looks appealing. She has a squarish jaw that kinda goes against the beauty standard of a typical idol. I've also heard many say she looks old.

I (and most outsiders, I think) find she looks fine. I like her ω mouth (didn't know a better way of describing this), though she does that less now.

I was a bit surprised that she wasnt very much recognizable in 48G

Hope she makes it to the top 11 in Produce48 ( she will )and gains love from korean fans who are voting her and Ifans.

I dont have bad feeling towards Jurina and Sakura, to be honest i feel like Jurina is a nice person and have soft spots on her,

but they are already very famous 48 members in Japan, so i'm staning for Korean trainees who doesn't yet have their own

stories and 48 members who aren't getting love in japan.

I told myself I would not watch PDS3 but here I am again. Something about the Produce series is just so infectious. The type of editing, drama and mood to make you want to keep watching.

I was just watching this! Her YT channel is a gem.

I really do think P48 could benefit Miyu a lot. She has a lot of qualities which appeal to kpop fans. An underdog story that MNET could use (never ranked and has been very under the radar for like 9 years under the 48 system), talented (composes, song writing, voice is beautiful, so far the only japanese trainee to enter class A in this episode), speaks Korean which can help her so much, has the type of visual that does fit with the Korean idol standard. Apparently she is pretty smart too (goes to a good uni according to twt stans). Plus in Kpop, being withdrawn or "boring" is not much of a setback. It can even be appealing depending on how it's presented. I hope I am not jinxing her but she has what it takes. It all really depends on MNET now.

i feel miyu looks more as an actress, she has very mature beauty vibe around her.

and ive looked through some AKB related forums

and her fans claim that she is a very shy person , so she lacks stage presence, which also means

there are few fans who would be willing to do handshake with her.

I hope she could gain more popularity by this show, because among other AKB members she does shines a lot.

Somewhat ugly? I don't get it

It's probably true that it is important to gather quickly a fanbase...but still it's shocking to see she was never ranked for 9 years. The competition must be crazy

  9. The company didnt force them to participate for the Produce48, and they are idols who were in the j pop business for years and more than that. Still me think they have the upper hand compared to korean trainees who havent had any opportunity to have a debut as an idol. (excluding gaeun and other girl who was in Fromis 9 )

Some members of 48G don't even have the time to prepare for performances in their own groups, because of the way management manages their schedules.

Do you really think, that most had the time, to prepare for PD48?
Besides the fact that, most must have prepared themselves alone.
And without the training that krn idols have......

Edit : And btw, some members have already expressed, a lot of times, how they wanted management to give them better training, and manage better their schedules, so that the 48G would stopped being labeled as a bunch of untalented girls.
