  1. I was prepared to be disappointed because Swing pretty much dropped the ball on most of the Produce groups' discography. But IZ*ONE once again proved that they can do no wrong. The swan swan swan choreo could be better though Forgot to add that Hyewon seems to have gotten better at emoting finally
  2. I remember Donglim hinted about this on some interview but I completely forgot about it until now
  3. Nina's tone fit Icy to the T. Well the singing parts at least. I agree with JYP on the team rankings. Feel Special and Icy were neck and neck though. In regards to my favourites: Mayuka is my absolute favourite. As long as she makes it in, I will be happy with the lineup. Both her dark horse moments occurred right at the end of both seasons which makes me question if it's too late. But who knows it might work in her favour since it will be fresh on JYP's mind. Yuna has really grown on me and I think it would be good for her confidence to make it into the final team. I don't think it would sit well with her to have to go back to being a trainee and I question if she would want to continue for a shot in the next Korean girl group since her spot wouldn't be guaranteed. But at the same time I do think that she might not fit in with the group and her talents kind of fall short.
  4. ONEUS > Pentagon > The Boyz = Verivery = ONF ONEUS: I love this. I think it's very fitting for the show. It's sounds like what every other team has been trying to do every week and I don't mean it in a bad way. It gives me The Boyz fancy performance-esque vibes. Verivery: Funky styled songs are never my favourite up top even when back during P101. The Boyz: I wasn't looking forward to this particularly because The Boyz excel more in the performance factor than the song itself. And I was right. I can picture them pulling off an elaborate performance but the chorus itself isn't really doing it for me. Pentagon: Ngl I expected them to come out with the best song and finally live up to their expectations. The preview was definitely going down the route but the final product not so much. I think I might not be a fan of Wooseok's voice. Only realised it whilst watching the Follow performance. ONF: Not really my type of song. Motivational anime opening songs are hit or miss for me.
  5. 3rd round: The Boyz > ONF > ONEUS > TOO > Pentagon = VeriVery Pentagon: I really wanted to like this because I only started watching the show for them and I have been lowkey rooting for them. But I think this song just isn't for me. Never heard of the original song itself but I don't think that should affect my enjoyability of the performance because ONF somehow made it work. Verivery: Didn't like the song arrangement. I don't think it meshed well. The Boyz: A masterpiece. The true trendsetters of the show. I want to stop ranking them as my 1st every week but they just deserve it so badly.
  6. Merry Go Round sounds the best. Not really feeling the title track atm.
  7. I didn't expect this to happen. I thought they would just have him sit out for a comeback or two. This isn't the first time BNM has dealt with a DUI. Verbal Jint had one a few years back. But I guess comparing Youngmin to VJ is a complete stretch when they are different in every way. Still can't believe that he practically ruined his career by being reckless. I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to come back as a solo in a few years. Not sure how that would pan out though. Woojin is now the sole rapper of the group which kind of makes the dynamics weird. He's probably rewriting the raps on the mini right this minute.
  8. Miihi sounded super breathy(?) in Feel Special. I think the song was way out of her range. Can't believe the day has come where Miihi gets outshined by the rest of the girls. Akari was absolutely glowing this time round too. And this was most definitely Yuna's best peformance. She went off with the dancing at the end.
  9. Kangyeol was the one who was rumored to have connections to Burning Sun before the show started airing. I was rooting for Kangyeol and Jihyun since they were super cute together but at this point I hope the girl makes a run for it.
  10. Super disappointed in him. This was very irresponsible. He is lucky he didn't harm anyone. Though he did indirectly harm the team and their comeback. Guess we'll never get MXM ever again.
  11. Verivery/TOO: Kind of messy. Sometimes less is more. They already have so many members to make use of and yet they still have dancers joining them. Did the Verivery leader start like 1 millisecond faster than the others at the beginning after emphasising the importance of being in sync? Or was it supposed to be that way? It kind of distracted me and he basically proved his own point. No hate on the guy though. Someone's got to step up and take charge when they're not performing up to par. Chihoon of TOO kind of stuck out as a sore thumb to me whenever he took front and centre. The lipsyncing was off and his charisma doesn't match up to the others. He looks too soft. Pentagon/ONF: Purely based off the team combination only I would expect their performance to be the best. But the song arrangement was just boring and I didn't find the performance captivating at all. I was just waiting for it to end asap. The Boyz/ONEUS: I'm let down because they had some good ideas during the preparation process but the performance felt somewhat disjointed at times. The song also sounded very Disney/tween drama like which just made it amateurish. None of the collab performances really impressed me. I think everyone is just more invested in the group performances and saving the good ideas for that. I would be too tbh. My ranking would be VV&TOO > TBZ&ONEUS > PTG&ONF ONEUS: Loved the song arrangement. I was shocked at Leedo's singing because his rapping in that collab performance wasn't the best... TOO: I kind of liked and didn't like the arrangement at the same time. But all that aside they definitely incorporated their own young and hip vibe into it well. I think they made good use of the 360 stage. The transitions were very natural. ONF: Another great performance from them. Can't help but laugh at that showtime because it reminds me of Jang Geunsuk. They aren't far behind The Boyz when it comes to the stages. The Boyz are just somewhat a little more grand but I think they could be neck and neck in the final. ONF > ONEUS > TOO
  12. EP 505 Bopil and team are really on a roll. I've seen so much good feedback on this episode. A great episode for the long time fans. That scarecrow scare really caught me by surprise. Props to the man who rolled with the chocolate adlib and managed to get Sechan and Somin sidetracked.
  13. Not really my type of song. They seem to be getting darker(?) with each post-produce comeback and straying further from what I liked about Victon. I became a fan because of Time of Sorrow and its vibe. Nostalgia night and Howling still maintained the sorrowness that they're just so good at evoking with their singing but they lost me with this song. Did I miss something or did Subin only get one line right at the end???
  14. This so much. I love how Twice have switched to a more mature route but they just had to throw in the more & more chant like that. Who even gave the okay to this? There are so many ways they could have sang it and they opted for the off-tune sounding kid-like chant style which doesn't even match the song??
  15. Concept queens all the way As if the flower*iz trilogy was not legendary enough already
  16. I can't believe they ruined the song with the terrible beat drop and the more & more chant that accompanies it. The rap can go as well. The verses and pre-chorus were excellent and had such a nice build up. I feel disappointed that the teasers showcased the best parts of the song only for the song's "highlight" to fall flat.
  17. I knew that it could never be too perfect to get 4 couples this week. Inwoo/Minjae and Gaheun/Hangyul were just friendship dates. More so the first couple who clearly drew the line. Kangyeol and Jihyun were super cute. They were my favourite date to watch this time round. I think they are my favourite couple for now which is an absolute surprise to me. Never would I have expected to like this combination. But I have a feeling Jihyun still has lingering feelings for Inwoo so this couple might not last beyond this week They zoomed in on Anna's face a lot in reaction to Kangyeol when they gathered together at the end. Foreshadowing? And I just hope Euidong and Minjae end up happy even if they don't have a match at the end. Sometimes it's better for them to end up with no one rather than the other person settling for them just for the sake of it. (Looking at you Daeun)
  18. This is different from what I expected but in a good way. Choreo looks interesting
  19. With how high The Boyz is setting the bar, do you think this will come back to bite them in Kingdom? That is, if they are the winning group to make it through.
  20. Swing Baby: Right from the lineup, this team was pretty much guaranteed the win. Heart Shaker: I've got to agree with JYP on this one. I had difficulty focusing on this performance because it just seemed so incoherent. I never saw star potential in Yuna in season 1 and definitely thought she was overranked but this time round I actually see her potential. I think she is a good candidate for the groups rapper but she doesn't seem to be playing to that strength. Overall I think the 2 teams last week were better. I'm changing my favourites every week but Rio and Mayuka are lock ins for me. But they're both on the fence of making the lineup especially Mayuka. I think the show has made it pretty obvious who the candidates are right now: Guaranteed spot: JYP trio Mako, Miihi, Rima Practically already have a foot in: Riku, Maya Good chance: Nina, Ayaka, Akari (I'm on the fence about including her in this category but JYP seems to favour her) Maybe: Rio, Riria, Mayuka, Yuna? Don't think so: Momoka
