Kind of boring that they all like the same girl. But I can't blame them because the program is just showing it as is. If they all pick the same girl, that's just what they're going to focus the broadcast on. The little snippets of the other housemates were just tacked on at the end for the sake of the guessing. I'm hoping the first dates will changes things up and spice up the show. Season 2 did it quite well when they let the catfish in on the second day and Hyunwoo himself just made one hell of a great catfish. I think the dates are going to be Minjae-Euidong Jihyun-Hangyul Gaheun-Inwoo

GI-DLE surprising me every time with the different sounds they try out. The song is a bit disjointed with the change in styles but Minnie's vocal tone is always utilised excellently and sets the mood so well. Yuqi's first verse was excellent as well. Her voice has depth and helped set the powerful transition. Soyeon's voice is a bit too jarring in this song for me. Soojin suited the chorus better. Shuhua snatching that Jihyun role

What is Sangmin wearing? Show is picking up especially in the second half of the episode when they reveal their professions. I do like how they don't have celebrity hopefuls this time round just using this show to launch their acting career. Yes I know lowkey they probably are partly there for the fame, I mean why else would you appear on the show. Once again we have female students with men in their 30s but not at the point of creepy like Jang Chun and Jihye. They also didn't cast a male younger than the females probably because of what happened to Gyubin. Euidong is a cutie. My favourite for now. Sorry Gaheun, you seem cool too though. Minjae also opened up more this episode and made her so much more charming. Random thought but Jihyun reminds me of Miyeon from GI-DLE.

5Finally got around to listen to the solo mini. I was expecting Daehwi's solo to be the best because I had heard snippets of Rose, Scent, Kiss before and was expecting him to be the next coming of Taemin. It's still a good song but Woong and Donghyun's songs blew me out of the water and exceeded my expectations by a mile. They kind of drowned out Daehwi's song when listening to the mini sequentially. My rating would be Woong > Donghyun > Daehwi > Youngmin > Woojin

Episode 1 thoughts Panelists: Lee Sangmin likes to spew a lot of nonsense but I think he is entertaining nonetheless. Eana and doctor are the same as the previous seasons. P.O I think is the standout of the newcomers. He is quirky in his own little way and already started a inside joke amongst the panelists in just 1 episode. Hyejin and Siyoon aren't bad either. I think we got a nice cast to keep us entertained for the next 12 episodes or so. Cast: Cheon In Woo: I know he wants to make a strong impression and give himself a head start but he comes off as overbearing to me. It's just day 1 and he seems like he's pouncing on the girl. Jung Eui Dong: My favourite cast member amongst the males so far. He seems cute and doesn't want to get into conflict with anyone. I think he would get along with everyone. Im Han Gyul: Can't read this guy well but one thing for sure, he was hella bitter about the steak incident lol. He seemed alright during the car ride with Gaheun though. Lee Ga Heun: I find her really pretty. Kind of giving me Seulgi vibes. My favourite for now but that could always change. I mean who knew I would swerve from Youngjoo to Hyunjoo so hard last season. She likes Maple Story which is cute. Seo Min Jae: She didn't appear much in the episode. She looks a lot like Yuju. Her chin and jaw are very sharp and pointy, kind of bothers me as it kind of seems like she overshaved it and doesn't look natural. Park Ji Hyun: Smiley girl like Jihye but gives me Youngjoo vibes. I like that her voice is kinda on the deeper side. It contradicts with her looks and makes her come off as mature. I think the controversial members are the 2 catfishes (i.e. The bully and Seungri's crew). Correct me if I'm wrong. Show: Not many thoughts. It's just the first episode so it was what I expected. I liked the editing at the end with the suspense though. I thought they full cut off the reveal for next week when the screen blacked out. One thing that does bother me is that the guys always get better rooms.

Only 2/4 (Miihi, Rio, Miu, Ririka) of my faves made it... I have a soft spot for Riria and Akari as well. That Dalla Dalla performance saved Mayuka. A true underdog story.

Did not expect him to pick his best song as the B-side promo track because that's rare but king did that

Be My Baby: Girls are still a little awkward and stiff with dancing but it is to be expected since they have had no experience prior. Rio was the standout to me. She screams star potential and has excellent stage presence. Shame that she messed up. Momoka has potential. A little awkward and limited on her expressions but I think she could do well with more training. Suzu reminds me of Jeongyeon. She looks like she's having fun on stage but her dancing looks very rigid as she always looks like she's uncomfortably tucking her head in and lifting her shoulder up too much. Sadly I don't think Hina and Mei have a chance. Hina doesn't stand out and Mei just looks uncomfortable all time and doesn't looks like she's having fun on stage. She just can't hide the nerves which is a shame. Again & Again: This was not the right song for them. Honestly I couldn't vibe with the whole performance. Dalla Dalla: The Yuna/Ririka combo for the chorus is horrendous. Ririka is another one that just screens of star potential and good stage presence. She knows how to naturally draw attention to herself. Somi 2.0 Nina has a nice voice Yuna's expressions do not seem natural and come off as really forced. Mayuka underdog went from 0 to 3 just like that.

Pentagon would be Shine no doubt. I wonder if they would go with the same format for this spinoff though. These groups essentially don't have a representative "hit" song except Pentagon. One of them is a rookie group who hasn't even debuted. What song can the others even cover?

I think it will depend on how big this issue blows up. Heart Signal, although not broadcasted by a big channel, has a decent following I would say. When issues like this come up for other programs they can easily edit out the controversial person but given the nature of this show I don't see how they could do they same here. The whole premise of the show is to watch the housemates interact and guess who they fancy. It just would not work if they pretended one of them doesn't exist especially since this show is prefilmed. These bullying scandals are a pretty big issue and I'm surprised it even managed to make its way to Heart Signal. I have a feeling the first broadcast will go as planned, then when the show starts picking up a few episodes in, the bullying controversy will make its way back in the headlines and that's when the staff will need to decide how to proceed. I am already expecting a mess. If anyone wants to take over as OP, please feel free. I won't be able to keep up with the show on the regular and will probably be avoiding this thread like the plague just to avoid spoilers.

I think Pentagon have the upper hand in terms of public recognition. Disappointed that AB6IX isn't joining. They would've been the ones to get me to stick around for the whole series.
