I wonder if they didn't have all the couples do the same type of images to use depending on who was going to end up with whom as the show progressed. They seem like pretty generic images.

I agree it seems misleading. Happy? But seeing the result, i think he truly thought he SHOULD end up with YJ but his heart told him his match was HJ. As for if they’re still together or not, who knows. The bottom line is, he wasn’t well matched to be wit YJ and it was pretty obvious (to me at least).

I think he was in denial. Remember during the double date when he kept insisting DG didn’t like HJ. I think he felt something for HJ but was trying to ignore it. Kind of like keeping her as a second option.

I’m not sure what you’re arguing. I said the show did what it was supposed to do, confuse the viewer to keep them coming back. The housemates said several times HW only took care of HJ. Even YJ said it.

I mean he gave YJ a cookie and a salad. What if he gave HJ 3 salads and a smoothie but they didn’t show it? Lol. In the end, how did I come to the conclusion they’d end up together, several episodes ago? By ignoring what the show chose to air and just paying attention to their own words and body language. That’s why I created an account here. I couldn’t get why no one was seeing the signals. Edit to add: remember people kept saying HW only took care of HJ but we never saw those scenes.

To those confused, the show did it’s job of confusing almost everyone. That’s how they get people to tune in and make money. ;) They chose the scenes they wanted you to see and hid the scenes they didn’t want you to see.

Easy, drama free, relaxing. Most guys don't like complications, having to explain why they said or did this and that.. It was clear to me they had a physical chemistry, too.

Let me change that to « reason » if you prefer. ;) And still haven’t found the rules. Whatever happens tomorrow, I think some people will be seriously disappointed.

Something interesting, to me, is that I often read people saying it’s because of the show’s rules, because they can’t talk directly, etc that the HW/YJ is so dysfunctional. Other than the fact that I find that to be an odd excuse, where did y’all see these rules? You’re not supposed to say who the text is from but I don’t recall hearing or reading that they can’t be clear in their intentions.

I think you misunderstood. "Can't force someone to say something they don't want" applies to the contestants on the show. I based my opinion on the words HJ and HW said to each other.

Don't agree. My thoughts on HW/HJ are solely based on words coming out of their own mouths. I personally don't pay attention to what the panel says. The show can be edited to try to lead/mislead us, of course, but you can't force someone to say something they don't want.

Haha, no, I'm an American. I just copied the English Subs ;) When I first watched HS, I was on team HW/YJ especially after he took care of her at his restaurant. When HJ ended up on a date with him, I was annoyed....until I noticed how well they got along and their chemistry.

I legit gave myself a headache this morning, haha. If i'm right, I'm switching my profession from Photographer to Body Image Specialist & Consulting or something. I think I'm good at reading people. But I'm not quitting my day job until Friday.

But to play Devil's advocate and go with the theory that the show is trying to make us think that they must surely be trying to trick us like last season so we think HW/HJ have a chance together when in fact HW/YJ end up together even though we knew HW/YJ were gonna end up together but they tricked us into thinking HW/HJ could end up together... (did you follow that? lol) We can interpret their date as being friendly and they both wanted to continue it simply because they were comfortable. And that is why we have 4 hours of missing car conversations and why they showed that YJ and GB date went so well and they picked the same book, blah blah blah. (I thought it was forced on YJ side but whatever.) The last convo could be interpreted as both HW and HJ being worried that the people they like are on dates with someone else and they don't know what to expect when they get home. HW's worst nightmare happens when YJ comes home and is basically flaunting her date and ignoring HW. (In the preview she says it was her plan to ignore him). I still think my first theory is correct and HW & HJ end up together. It seems like the healthier relationship.

Finally watched English Subs and I've changed my mind about the episode. Warning, this is long. haha HW & HJ's date is awkward, BUT, I feel it's a different kind of awkward than I thought when I didn't know what they were saying. It's more of a what's going on type of awkward. They were both surprised they ended up together again. When she got in the car, she had a tangerine. But the next scene we saw, she was eating something else. So I really wish they had shown what they first talked about and not edited. Their car ride was 2 hours long each way, at least. HW: It's been a while... HJ: On the first date we talked a lot all day ... HW: I think we went too far that day... Then they proceed to keep glancing at each other while driving thru the tunnel. Why? I mean, it's not like he was engaged to anyone. It was the very beginning of the show. Could it be because he really thought he should end up with YJ since he said seen her before had decided it must be fate? Sounds to me like he was trying to control his feelings. Next scene - HW: Wait we're here? We're already here. Considering it was a 2 hour car drive... haha I am assuming they had a pleasant ride. In the car again: HJ: Villages by the sea all look the same HW: Who you come with is more important. I came with you. HJ: Are you happy? HW smiles and scene is cut. Arriving at the restaurant: HW: Wait for me. Don't just leave me. HJ. I had to run. Again, little phrases that come out of his mouth naturally. At the restaurant: HW asks HJ if she needs help tying her apron. They both giggle. SOMEONE, not sure who, says "What's wrong with me?". Afterwards, I honestly feel like they both feel something when they look at each other and that's why they kept looking away. HW: A lot of unexpected things keep happening in the house. HJ changes the subject HW: I didn't expect to see you today HJ: At the moment I saw your head ..I was contemplating a lot. But Sokcho was the only choice I had. HW: Who you go with? HJ: Yes, that's why I hesitated. It was obvious you know. HW: By the way.. HJ: Let's just not think about that. My interpretation of this. HJ really didn't want to go on this date with HW. She knew he was determined to pursue YJ. Maybe she was worried in the beginning of the date that HW might think she manipulated the vote to go on the date with him, and that's why she chose to explain/clarify that she had no choice. I'm not sure what HW was about to say before she said hey, let's just let it go. This date will be especially appealing to HW because there is no drama. It's easy, HJ doesn't expect anything of him. Next scene outside: HW: We should have gone to the end. (Pointing to the other side of boardwalk) HJ: Too bad, let's come back later. I take this to mean he wanted to prolong their walk. When you don't want to be with someone you make it as short as possible. ******skipping YJ and GB date******** ******DG and JM date, I felt she was inlove, he was basically acting like a tour guide. I think he sent her a text as a courtesy, especially since she got sick worrying about how the date would go.*********** Back to HW and HJ. HW: Even the traffic lights aren't on our side HJ: We're not going home after riding the cable car, are we? HW: We will ride it and go to Seoul with it. You don't want to go? What's wrong. Do you want to go home now? HJ: No, I don't, that's what I meant. HW: You could say you don't want to go home so fast. HJ: That's why I said, we're not going home are we? HW: I thought you want to go home fast. This is pretty clear...they both want the date to continue. He even got worried she wanted to go back home. But even this "misunderstanding" didn't turn into a big thing like it would have with YJ. They cleared it up in like half a second. I'm not even going to discuss them running with HW pulling her sleeve. But I think it didn't leave them indifferent. In the car: HW: What was your most unforgettable memory? HJ: Just now. HW: Just now? HJ: Yes. From the moment we started to run, until we reached the top of the mountain. At the restaurant: HW: What do you think about how things will be when we get home? HJ: How I think they will be?...nervous laugh with HW staring at her. HJ: What about you? HW: Me? Honestly I didn't expect to see you. I'm being honest. It wasn't easy while putting two names on my ticket...I was actually thinking YJ would come to the place. And I wanted to be nice to her. Then I went to sleep and I woke up and... If you're destined to meet with the person, you will end up with that person. HJ: Ok...shall we go see the night view? HW: Did I give you a vague answer again? HJ: No, it was a great answer. HW: really? I don't even know what I said. OK. So I see where some people thought he meant he would end up with YJ. But nope, I think he's talking about HJ. And I think just the fact he can easily have a conversation with her like this without hurt feelings or drama, is another proof they really are well suited for each other. Also, you can tell he is worried about what is waiting for them back home. He is worried he enjoyed himself and now he has to "face the music". He also seems worried that HJ might have misunderstood his answer, since he is used to YJ misunderstanding. Hence why he asked if he gave a vague answer. He must be really surprised when HJ said no, that the answer was a great one. Then we have a whole 2 hour car ride conversation missing. Back at home... you all know what happened. But I think it only helped reinforce to HW that YJ is not the one. In the preview for next week it looks like they're talking things out, but I think they're actually saying goodbye to each other. Like, this isn't going to work type of talk. Voila. If you read the whole thing, congratulations, you will get a cookie. lol My prediction: HW and HJ end up together.

Someone translated what was said for next week's preview. What caught my attention is GB saying to someone "when did you start seeing me as a man". I can only assume he's talking to YJ since he's had no other interaction or "relationship" with any of the other housemates. So unless he's asking her that question and she replies "never, you're just my friend" haha, I'm assuming they end up together. I'm waiting for English subs.
