Oo sorry for double post but had to add DExJH were screwed over yet again for screen time but their meet up was so adorable and cute! â¤ï¸ I wouldn’t mind so much about the screen time division so much if it wasnt used on endless flashbacks and scene that were unnecessary, in that it only manipulated majority of audiences further. The PDs really suck for that ☹ï¸

This was a rollercoaster. I don’t regret watching it but it was definitely disappointing to see the same pattern repeat this season - a twist does not always make for good viewing so I won’t be watching next season. Like legit I will not believe any overly emphasised romantic scenes and be looking for twists instead of actually caring about people in the show. Personal MVPs YJ JM JH (happy they’re all friends). Already did a twitter thread to express most of my feelings so won’t go into it again lol. This platform has been really fun though, everyone was really respectful. I’ll keep the account in case another show pops up that I can’t hold back my opinion on. Several people have recommended Terrace House so I’ll just add My Daughter’s Men (1,2,3) to it too. Very funny, romantic, sad (sometimes) and cute. By the way, well done HJxHW shippers, you were all right to stick to your guns Mad props! I saw the writing on the wall before the final selections but definitely didn’t see it coming in advance of this ep.

I agree that GB has never looked at another person and that’s admirable so I totally get why people ship him. But I never get when people say HW hasn’t been clear with his emotions. He’s opened up so many times about it to her and the group without saying her name; communication styles are different for everyone so I accept that she didn’t always hear it as it was intended. GB definitely has the record on initiating things withYJ but it’s not like HW’s ever initiated dates with HJ either. Their first date was a mix&match, everybody except DG had an initial interest in their Christmas date because it was the first one. In ep 11, HJ even said herself that HW had been avoiding her since then so how is that being forward to her? Anywhoo I’m worried about where HW’s head is at now, after witnessing YJxGB’s interaction. Strange that YJ took issue with HW choosing HJ 2nd but didn’t mind that GB did the same. Yes HWxHJ have history (that was unavoidable) and I still don’t get why HW chose HJ but it’s bizarre that YJ says in the preview she thought HW purposefully chose the place she wanted to go to avoid her. That’s an odd interpretation but things must have felt that way in the moment for her. Colour me confused â€â™€ Friday can’t come soon enough - I can’t bare to watch it live so I’ll rely on the Twitter hashtag. Also, have you heard about the potential for no reunion special?? (Ahh I need one ) The producers are not sure because the cast said they are uncomfortable with the hate comments they’ve been subjected to over last few weeks. So sad that some viewers attack people who are entitled to their own flaws, emotions and decisions and for choices made months ago at that.

Agreed 100% with Ataraxia's review earlier especially re. HW's clumsy language choices. I'd just add that the production team was terrible to DExJH. I literally counted the screen time for their date and it was 3 minutes! What the actual fuck. So terrible but whatever, I can't put anything past editing team now. I also agree with @swou when they said they feel like the PDs purposefully selected scenes to manipulate audience this ep (for different reasons, depending on the fandom). However, I do disagree about the level of awkwardness they showed on the HJ-HW date. I think the HS team tried their best to show moments of excitement (running scene) and bonding (talking about his childhood) as well as the initial awkwardness. Don't think they were straight up making it look like they hated the date. I didn't get the impression that HW disliked her, more of a dissappointed that it wasn't YJ at first. My only semi-hot take from the episode is that I feel like the love lines were a bit strangely received. Yeah I was slightly surprised but then when I thought about it, I realised why wouldn't you text the person you spent the whole day with, on a date you didn't actually hate. I just took the texts as courtesy so I've not been disillusioned yet. DG even texted JM but I'm pretty he'll stick to HJ after that date and JM realised it herself. HJ is incredibly selfless, I really appreciate her! Her energy really makes people comfortable. I'd never swap places with her on that date, but she turned it around (love it). GB was thoughtful and caring as per usual but no sparks flew from my POV. But hey I'm willing to be surprised lol I will ship HWxYJ to the end but I get why people have jumped ship. I have literally never shipped a reality pair in my life so I'll be loyal and if burned so be it 😌. Either way, all the residents seem to be well and truly over the HS house, and all friends so I'll get over any dissappointment quickly too â¤ï¸

I will have hope in DGxJM until the end but it’s a sad ship. They’re so cute together, such natural skinship but he does come off stiff sometimes. I need DG to tap into his episode 8 self when he said he wants someone who cares about him as much as he does. If he wants cheerful, that’s JM too. *sigh* smth tells me he’s made up his mind tho Sidenote: anyone noticed the indirect kiss levels of HWxYJ? Like they have no problem sharing anything that touches their mouth . They’re like an old married couple the memes on twitter about that are so cute lol

I think screen time should be more equally divided this next episode in particular. But honestly, you have to see how much better tv YJxHW make objectively. Of course they’re fights are exhausting but it makes the show trend every week. The producers aren’t trying to be fair which is annoying, they’re trying to trend and be a part of pop culture. But this week there’s hope because HWxYJ won’t be together so less need to show them so much unless their individual dates revolve around their interest in each other. I just want to see JMxDG, JHxDE and JHxHW interractions! More cute scenes, less drama now producers

@swou I disagree too but it’s food for thought. I’m convinced that the person who will break this couple, if it happens in this show, is YJ. I have said why before so won’t go into it again. However if HW does choose HJ, at least it won’t catch me off guard like in season 1 thanks to your analysis. I don’t buy it for now but it could all start making sense if these choices are made. HW is my ultimate fav so I hope he’s happy with whoever. YJ is certainly doing fine regardless of the outcome so I won’t be devastated. I really hope HWxYJ can make it past this annoying final date scenario and I think they can, their communication matured so much in the past episode. Also, HW didn’t talk to YJ when she came to the room because he needed to be alone. I think he’s introverted and often times you just need to recharge in your own company, especially when you’re living with 7 other people in a competitive environment. HW was thankful that YJ understood that about him. It’s basically impossible to penetrate HW’s mind, but he seems the most accessible and unguarded when he’s with YJ imo. I think he just wanted to quash the awkwardness between him and HJ which is fair. Fundamentally he is a nice person and so is HJ but he is never particularly nice to her that’s why he doesn’t get what others see when he’s around HJ especially given that they’ve not really been on speaking terms since ep 8. Like @grisha said, it’s almost as if fans just want HW to turn to HJ and say I hate you and turn to YJ and say I love you, and that would finally make him direct and decisive. He’s more open with YJ without breaking the rules, that just has to be enough for people. This isn’t love island, they’re not free to do and say whatever. I too wish he had asked her out one of the times but frankly my girl YJ beat him to it every time (ugh she’s the best!). HW would have asked her out even if she hadn’t asked him for groceries that time, I could see it in his eyes. After saladgate, HJ was mad at him for days (over a week if editing is to be believed) and he only asked about it when it was convenient, they were alone together and it was awkward. YJ was mad at him for a couple hours and he couldn’t stop drinking and stressing until he resolved it. All this speculation is getting tiring but this show is a headache too, just want it to be over already. This is all my opinion too lol A HWxHJ shipper will not be convinced by a HWxYJ shipper and vice versa. I’ve learnt that from twitter and Reddit Also, “relationships should flow smoothly� I’m happy for you if that has been your experience but for the most part, that is not true. There are amazing highs and annoying lows, it’s getting through the tough parts that strengthen a bond. YJ said it herself, she feels like she’s accelerating because of how little time they have and HW said on new year’s, he didn’t expect to develop such strong feelings again on this show and yet here he is. So yes it seems bizarre that they misunderstand and resolve in a never ending cycle but it’s also understandable when you look at the circumstances. JH and DE have even had rocky times, but I’m not convinced about this set yet lol

Oh he’s definitely NOT interested in HJ, I know that but I’m still worried YJ will misunderstand. Let’s hope their new level of communication can withstand this final test. HW does struggle to read people but YJ said to him that she thought the cookie was HJ’s. Granted she didn’t say it like she was jealous but that shows she is unsure of his feelings. He doesn’t need to be the audience to understand that. Regardless, I will have faith HWxYJ until the end â¤ï¸ Also as a DGxJM fan too, HW isn’t completely wrong. DG has stronger feelings for HJ sure, but he definitely cares about JM too so who knows what interactions HW’s witnessed that made him so sure DG was interested in JM. I can’t wait for never before scene clips at the reunion. *chanting* more airtime for DGxJM and JHxDE this week! The production team has really failed them just to sow doubt among YJxHW fans

Hm great points but I have to agree with GRISHA. It was definitely a safe choice from his standpoint but YJ has shown that she is only insecure about her. It’s just like the commentators said, YJ doesn’t see everything like the audience does so even though he could think HJ is safe because he sees her as a little sis, YJ doesn’t understand that and he hasn’t explicitly said he sees HJ platonically the way he has about DE and JM. Picking DE would not have been read as romantic by JH (at least I don’t think). That way, worst case scenario JH and HW can spend their final date playing wingman for each other. I guess it’s too late to change their decisionsbut I really wished I could have jumped through the screen in that scene. The episode started with HW saying he doesn’t understand why people think he treats HJ nicely but ends with him choosing her as a backup date to YJ ðŸ§. I don’t believe any girl could move his heart at this point. Maybe he is just convinced that DG is not interested in HJ which makes her the only girl (in his mind) that is unattached and so won’t step on any toes. Again, shoulda put YJ over the bro code here hun.I really wish I could skip ep 12 but I’m too addicted to avoid it 😂🤩

I've watched the subbed episode and all my initial thoughts are the same but clarified. So happy HWxYJ were actually working harder to understand each other even through the restrictions of the show. They are such a beautiful couple when they are happy and alone (and even when they are super jealous and insecure tbh). P.S Wouldn't it be hilarious if the promos we saw have all been faked up to now to throw fans off (Infinity War trailer style) and next week the couples are HWxYJ, JHxDE, DGxJM and HJxGB. That would be amazing but I doubt the production staff were that longterm oriented.

It airs @11:11pm Korean time every Friday and Dramafever posts the subtitled version every Tuesday/Wednesday. Other sites like kshow123 or ikshow post the episodes a few hours after Dramafever without editing the background music out. @howaboutnno I agree but some people really don’t like her, others just really want HWxHJ to happen, which has to be the oddest ship. Right up there with HWxDE, it would never happen in this show at least

Ughh Reddit is a toxic nightmare, I’d never join that thread and I was soo tempted to this week! Purely reactionary with little to no consideration for what actually might be being said in the scene. Not saying everyone has to love YJ like me or most of the fandom but there are so many people on that thread just trying to frame YJ as terrible for her perfectly natural interactions in the show. Both HWxYJ acted extremely petty in that double date, not just YJ in my opinion. @kth03 thanks for sharing. Cool to know about how lovely she was/is beyond the show. Though I don’t dislike any of the girls, YJ became my favourite girl because of how naturally she opened up in the house, she didn’t show us everything about her personality from the start. She’s confident and personable with everyone including HW when their alone. Her insecurity is mirrored by HW because they are in a situation that prevents them from being honest so they both come off as indecisive. Also re. smth I read on Reddit and it was mentioned above, being introverted or extroverted are not repelling personality traits. It mostly refers to how people recharge their energy in their down time. I’m introverted but I love to go out and be adventurous with friends and bf too and vice versa for extroverts. This is not to say all introverts are that way but HW has clearly shown that he is willing to go to new places, even surprise locations but when he needs to think or just relax, he does that alone or in intimate conversations with JH or YJ. I just don’t want people to equivocate introversion with anti-socialism. From something Dr Yang and his chef friend said, HW may seem boring but he is devoted to you once he lets you in. (You might’ve guessed that HW is my ultimate bias so I tend to defend him - until he crosses me 😂😂 jk) I also really like GB!! He has done nothing wrong to YJ but the fact is, she isn’t attracted to him. I actually rewatched their 2nd date episode, and I felt like YJ was giving him a gold star for the good choices 🤦ðŸ¾â€â™€ï¸ but she didn’t look at him with romantic interest, which is a shame for GB. He’s worked so hard, been upfront and respectful of the fact that it doesn’t mean YJ owes him anything. I was on ONE’s side for the drinking game, him openly signalling to YJ would be great if he met her outside of this programme but all he did was eliminate any interest that the other women might’ve developed if he had not been so publicly straightforward. He painted himself into the Serin corner when it comes to not receiving texts or date offers and seeming invisible. This does not negate the chance of a twist but I’m now convinced that if anyone is going to break this couple (and I highly doubt it), it will be YJ picking GB. If it’s HW I’ll be the first to eat my words. Damn I can never keep it short lol

Ohh I see! The production staff are so messy. That amateurs editing that happened at the start of the episode was hilarious. If the double date happened before the bakery then it makes sense why HW x YJ were chill with each other the very next scene they were in. That was so confusing to me. Is heart signal trying to do evil editing to make HW seem indecisive even though he’s stated several times he’s made his decision and only stays vague on who it is? By the way, I loved the JMxDG interaction too but as @ataraxia mentioned, I feel like he’s put HJ on a pedestal and will stick with his initial judgement. I do do hope he see’s JM’s worth some more next week though. DE had me thinking last week that she’s not interested in JH really but he’s the only guy who pursued, so I really want to see more screen time for them next week so that I gain regain confidence in that pairing. JH really deserves someone who genuinely cares about him, he’s a great guy. Fundamentally I want them all to be happy but even though the intensity of YJxHW mind games is entertaining, I agree that it might cool off when the drama of the house isn’t there anymore. I hope that doesn’t happen of course. They definitely are compatible but they need to become even more understanding and communicative.

I have only watched the raw and I don’t understand korean so I definitely don’t know what’s being said so I’ll drop first thoughts now and save final judgement for Tuesday. (Disclaimer: this is IMO and my feelings may change later when I hear what was actually said) Really worried about a twist - but I’m gonna trust HWxYJ ðŸ™. Sorry this was so long. Credit where credit’s due, One, Dr. Yang and Kim Eana are holding it down with great commentary thankfully. Also, re:trending, everytime I go on YouTube, at least two new fanmade MVs have been dedicated to HWxYJ. The fandom around this couple way surpasses even MSG couple for S1 so it’s so strange how the panel responds to them. I’m not saying the commentators should become biased for them but they have to be BALANCED about all of them. Thankfully the producers and editors know what time it is and give them a lot of airtime. By the way, an earlier poster theorised that a twist may be coming because HW left insta. God I hope not!! I can’t take another disappointment Lool. The intensity of emotions that HW has displayed and verbalised this season don’t seem easily changed (speaker, New Years, drinking game, both dates - like he actually asked YJ if he could get married Lol, double date). Buuut you never know what producers might do to spice up a story 😩 The reunion eps will be a lot of fun regardless of how it turns out P.s. why don’t they talk about body language that much this year? Dr. Yang’s commentary on mirroring, unconsciously facing the person you like etc is all gone this year. Thanks to him, I have noticed all that stuff this season with various couples but he mostly doesn’t explicitly addresses it anymore unless it obvious skinship or familiarity. Anyone else notice?

Yeah I really hope HW x YJ get the chance to flesh out their roles in a relationship outside of the show. IMO I think he acts that way because he’s stuck in a untenable situation. His character is very straightforward but he’s stuck in a house with rules that explicitly stop him from telling the only one he’s interested in his feelings. Ditto YJ. I think when they’re allowed to be honest, the insecurities will go. If I was HW I’d be nervous that YJ could pick GB in the end because he doesn’t see what we see. He just knows they’ve been out twice (three next week) and that she hasn’t been verbally clear about her singular interest in him. It a messy situation but both their personalities are clashing with the rules of the house, not each other (I think).

Wow you’ve just captured exactly what was on my mind as I watched! So happy I signed up to this platform lol. I love Sangmin and his really left field comments most of the time because it’s so entertaining but this was out of line. The other commentators even went silent after his little reenactment. I respect that it is his genuine opinion but he has inadvertently set JM up to be demonised by netizens if she does pursue her feelings for DG in ep.11 😰 (The whole incident reminded me of the rant he went on in season 1 that he got in trouble for because he basically acted like an audience member - like I agreed with his sentiment then but doesn’t change the fact that it was wrong to insult JC) Also the double standard shown in this one episode was staggering. As you say, later in the episode when discussing love lines, SM said GB has no where else to go either but he might be able to take advantage of a misunderstanding or exploit perfect timing (whatever) with YJ. Again, there’s nothing wrong with this position and POV but how can the same commentator show such obvious bias for one couple over another couple, THE couple that is arguably responsible for the higher ratings atm. Does that make sense?? I hope everyone ends up with who they genuinely want to be with or at least date. Of course, I’m a HW x YJ major shipper but I understand that they have to see other people while in the show. I hope JM doesn’t get trolled on the off chance DG comes to his senses (imo lol) and realises she’s great for him next episode. This is how the game is played! She’s not here to “cheer†anyone on. She’s gorgeous and so accomplished and she deserves happiness.
