This story has been an example of what not to do by AKS in every single decision they've made from start to date. NGT48 is radioactive, they won't be recovering. Ogiyuka just showing up as a model for a brand in a couple tweets is enough to get a boycott rolling.

Is it really so hard for the NGT members to even pretend to be sympathetic and protective of Maho like seriously even a sociopath in their position has to be able to read that the angry mob is behind her. Makes me wonder how intense the arm twisting is to keep them on message since they have to know they are tanking their own careers.
-
Festive attitude of HKT members in foreground vs NGT members in background, that's a yikes. I hope if any of the members in the crosshairs of the internet are actually innocent that they aren't reading their twitter feeds on that phone. And that management stops being cowards hiding behind them. Click here to view the Tweet

That's referring the the assailants, because of fucking course it's an uphill battle against AKS to formally ban violent criminals from having access to their victims.

Showroom video with Yamada Noe and Tano Ayaka with the duct tape. I have a hard time believing the Kitagawa thing because if this is true it's... insane

Well Maho's profile picture made CNN front page, that's certainly something. Nothing new in the article. https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/16/asia/japanese-pop-idol-sexual-assault-apology-bullying-intl/index.html

-The assailants followed a bus from a venue to learn Maho's address. has now become: -The assailants have rented the room opposite of Maho for the last year and a half, Maho just didn't notice that Tano Ayaka had moved out and a group of men were renting the room instead on an otherwise all-female NGT48 member floor. Is this the best lie they could come up with for why the assailants were not trespassing according to the police? It's so bad.

How to crisis management by AKS Maho: I got assaulted, some other members were involved AKS: Ok I'll handle it don't worry -4 weeks pass, assailants released, nothing is done- Maho, to public: Please help me I'm dying Public: Ok that's pretty fucked up what are you doing AKS AKS: Public: Say something AKS AKS: Public: Get out of here I hope we've learned something

Lawson is making changes on its website that look like they may be cutting off NGT48 as well. If that's what they're doing things look grim for NGT48 existing very long.

Stock prices are not a metric for this blah blah blah but guess when in this graph the company dunked on NGT48 publicly This is not official and could be nothing but the Niigata Chamber of Commerce & Industry deleted the page on their website that had their collaboration info with NGT48 sometime in the last 24 hours. You can check it on google cache: https://www.niigata-cci.or.jp/kaikou150

AKS isn't a court of law, they don't employ celebrities long term even if they are signed under AKS. I would be simply astounded if they did not have multiple clauses in any contract they sign with the members they could invoke trivially since that is normal in entertainment to keep leverage over the nobody teens they get from auditions. AKS can kill their career right now with the flick of a pen and it wouldn't even be libel. AKS can demote to KKS at will. AKS and simply drop them from all schedules and there is nothing they could do about it legally. Thinking of AKS as powerless over the girls is very odd to me.

They're still hoping people will forget. It's vile. If they wanted to handle this right they'd have done it before it became public knowledge. If they wanted to handle it once Maho came forward they'd have sat down with her and offered her anything she wanted to get her back on board. If they wanted to handle it now they'd be giving regular transparent updates about what the new manager is doing. They are still not doing anything right. It's either complete amateur hour and they have no one who can do crisis management or they're just going with "well people will forget eventually..." like this is a dating scandal or something.

Another sponsor has severed ties with NGT48, pointedly edit: this is the same as one that cut NGT adverts off their website earlier today but now an official release basically telling NGT48 to take a hike
-
Add Hinata Homma, Team G captain, to the cowards who won't even say Maho's name let alone acknowledge that literally anything has happened. They're still trying to bury the victim, 6 fucking days into this.

Sakura has human emotions, her reaction to that Takamina prank displayed her own self interests but she knew she'd have to deal with the problem because it affected her. It was also a TV show so I have no idea how much of that was real vs script. Ogiyuka's reaction is... pretend it is totally unrelated, just pay attention to her and get your money ready. What even is that. And this is a prepared response with days of prep time to a real world problem blowing up. The cleanest solution I've seen people propose is transfer Maho to a 46 group. The members and management guilty of bullying or leaking info need to be dealt with along with the parasite stalkers but how can Maho continue to work in NGT48? She may want to stay but the ghosts of those snakes are always going to be around there even if they do clean them out.

A large corporation and an unrelated idol with similar names to things in the rumor mill have had to put out press releases saying they are not involved with NGT48

Inapooh is a liar and tries to pass himself off as a more successful piece of garbage than he actually is, if the only proof of something is a photo he took assume he just stole the photo from elsewhere. The guy belongs in jail for stalking, private info theft and sale though. Ayakani being familiar with him on showroom on its own would be whatever because the girls regularly address people by their showroom usernames but there are just way too many pieces of this falling into her lap to all be a big coincidence.

Seems like the kind of wild speculation that is usually floating around but everyone knows is bullshit. Now with AKS acting so shady it surfaces as a possible reason for how they've been acting. Shouldn't have been a thing if AKS handled this appropriately. Speaking of consequences, first sponsor to take down an active promotion but they have already walked it back a little bit saying they're still considering what to do. https://jshowbiz.com/english/news/ngt48/item/4579-ngt48-lose-sponsors-after-scandal.html

I've always personally disagreed with the no dating rule but bringing dangerous people to their boarding house regardless of gender is a clear cut reason to punish someone up to and including dismissal?? Like hello it's aiding and abetting the assault.

I agree, there is no hard evidence pointing to Katomina, Ogiyuka, and Noepii for bullying. They may be innocent of it, but it's not going to be resolved to the fans satisfaction at this rate because AKS is transparently not being honest. AKS might be trying to hide their own bungling of the situation (by further fucking up...) and throwing those three and others under the bus or it might be more serious. We need Maho to talk to resolve this in a believably just manner, and AKS isn't going to allow that because I can only guess they have other interests than strict justice, whatever that might be. The evidence we do have for group bullying taking place is very suspicious to me though.
