I'm not babying anyone. I have to caveat it because I don't know these people personally so can only look in from the outside. I have a pretty good gaydar which has functioned well about 80% over the years (esp. people who eventually came out) - but I've also been wrong before and it was acutely embarrassing. So even if I think I know and understand what my eyes/brain seem to tell me, I'm still not in their shoes, with the full context that only they have.

I don't believe I have 'babied' him. You picked that one caveat out of a full post basically supporting Sehun having an adult relationship with an older man and me saying good luck to them if so. Wow, you're really rude.

That's cool. Thanks. Imo it's perfectly healthy for Sehun (and anyone else) to have a life and interests outside the confines of his group. It might be just a friendship but if Sehun is tapping an older man, good for him. Edit: also Chefsuke is pretty cute. He has a sweet, kind face.

Is Sehun still hanging out with Chefsuke? Because from what I've seen this very much has shades of One Direction's Harry Styles (actually Sehun reminds me of him a lot), where fans were convinced he was 'committed' to fellow bandmate Louis Tomlinson (it all got very shippy) whilst Harry spent the best part of his young life hanging out with UK Radio One DJ, Nick Grimshaw, almost a decade his senior. Nick and Harry were well known to go everywhere and do everything together, Harry would drive him to work in the mornings and buy cakes for the R1 staffers. They'd go to antiques fairs, supermarkets together (turning up on Sunday mornings at Waitrose) in London when a passerby snapped them on his/her phone, and they'd look like a couple just attending events, house parties, etc, etc, no Louis in sight, ever. Fans predictably lost their shit as it became really obvious Nick was a threat to Louis. This reminds me very much of the Chefsuke situation. Like Harry, Sehun picks an average-looking older man to hang out with rather than a youthful, beautiful shipping subject and many fans go mad because of it, heaping hate on the subject. In One Direction's case, I came across many posts from industry people who were very open about the fact Nick and Harry were dating and had been a long time. It was no big secret, it was just never said openly for the fans. Makes me wonder if the same is going on here, unless Chefsuke is somehow related to Sehun and acting as some kind of guardian or overseer.

Hi, Lol, My first post so go easy on me. I have been reading back through this glorious thread and wanted to bring this back just to ask a question really. I know that Namjoon and this quote has been done to death but I feel as if something still hangs in the air with it. Is what annoys people the fact that he said 'How to reverse the words'? And people took that to mean he was rebuffing his original statement? Because I think a lot depends on the placement of the punctuation in the statement. On the other hand something may have been lost in translation and/or he may have had his collar felt by the PC brigade? Just a little point I wanted to make. This is a great thread btw. I'm loving all the analysis!
