  1. Yeah, we have Jurina having health issues with her current schedule. I can't imagine with her having this on top of that. I hadn't thought about this. Any girl in SK that wants to be part of the entertainment industry is probably signed as a trainee to some company or another, so debuting a full 48 group could be hard. Thing is, in AKB the point is to see the girls go from bad/weak to good/decent (some not even, but still). I don't know if the Koreans would fall for a group like that when they are used to top-notch performances. I guess, but even if the show was popular, having a theatre for almost daily performances is asking too much of the fans. And more if the theatre is as big as theirs was. AKB's just houses 200 people and the SG are around the same. If they want to rent a place like that for one or two performances a month... go ahead, I guess lol I think they'll try to implement more the whole handshake event thing. I'm not sure if it's that common in SK.
  2. Could be, but I think they know going full out with full teams from the get-go is a bad idea seeing how Boys24 did. I think a smaller group that brings AKB over every now and then for collaborations is good enough.
  3. To decide the center. Yas! I'm not making up anything, I'm saying what I've seen AKB doing for the past 12 years. The theatre was important up until 2010. Then came Heavy Rotation and they couldn't give a bigger duck about it. If the rumours are correct, I will be the first in saying "I'm surprised. I was wrong." I will still think it's a bad idea. This. The collaboration with the AKB family I think will start and finish with having most of their foreign participants being from the 48G. That sounds plausible and wouldn't be hard to accomodate in the (Japanese) girls' schedules. Having two teams would make it a new hybrid of sister group and... what? An ordinary GG? Might as well announce Seoul48 and get the whole three teams. Ohwell, we'll see soon-ish!
  4. Thanks!I don't even have the -. Isn't it easier to just ignore whatever? Initially? Yes. Nowadays? Idols you can meet = handshake. Akimoto couldn't care less about the theatre. And again, the Japanese members of this group are going to be concurrent with their own group. They just won't have the time for more stage performances. Some barely had time to make their way to Tokyo to perform in Akihabara and you think they're gonna do it in Seoul? Sure, Jan. Don't get worked up, it's not cute.
  5. The + next to the 0 is to upvote right? That'w what I've been hitting today when I read a well written post. Hopefully I wasn't doing it wrong lol
  6. The thing is, to actually use it like AKB, SKE and other 48G use it you need numbers. That's why the first generations of all the 48G are over 20 girls, so they can take turns in the theatre. Now, we don't now how many girls are going to be in the final group. 12? 14? 16? Who knows. If they do indeed have a theatre, doing almost daily performances with the full line-up would be overkill. Also, we know that a bunch of them are going to be from the 48G. We can assume that they won't graduate from their Japanese group while they are in the P48 group. I doubt AKB wants whatever fame the girls get out of AKB not to trickle back into AKB somehow. So basically, some girls are going to have to perform in a theatre in Korea, promote themselves in Korean shows and then fly to Japan for some AKB handshake event and another theatre performance in their own Japanese group? Not counting recording, rehearsing, filming, etc. It's just impractical. IF they really want the whole theatre thing to go on, I suppose the smartest thing to do is to arrange with a certain venue that X days a month the theatre is theirs, so they can do their performance, HS, high-touch, 2-shot, whatever. But renting a space for the only purpose of having these girls perform like the 48G do in Japan is ridiculous and a waste of money. Those links you shared still don't show me anything official from Mnet, I imagine that's why you wrote it as "official". I think the writers of all these articles simply researched a bit of AKB while writing and added in the articles "AKB is a group that performs in a theatre" and now people are just taking for granted that the theatre is a thing for this new group as well. You got me thinking now about the foreign trainees though. I imagine they would be considered part of the Korean part if they are trainees of a Korean company? Ideally, they'd just battle it out. And if only Nakano Ikumi gets to be in the final group out of all the 48G girls, so be it. But I doubt AKS hasn't pulled strings to get the best outcome for them. I was joking about LOONA. Please, stan LOONA.
  7. When she lost her mind, obviously. Jesus, that colour doesn't suit anybody.
  8. Nope. And AKS! Watch them include the Korean girls in AKB HS just to make those Kpop loving teenagers spend their pocket money on them.
  9. Her answer to that mess was another mess. Someone needs to take her to the doctor.
  10. Agreed. Not only P48 is a way to get better known outside of Asia, it's also a way into Japan. Just see how popular TWICE is over there. I'm sure AKS wanted a bit of that. As for AKB CHINA vs SNH, I think they will use a lot more AKB (Japan) girls in China this time around. I can already see them doing whole theatre performances, HS events and the like just to lure the SNH fans back. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if the CHINA girls were included in AKB releases somehow (bsides, HS, etc) as a way of saying "These are the girls we like". I'm also rooting for one of the Yuehua girls, Shao XiMengNa, because she was born in Spain and I'm still like wtf. ¡MENA ES LA ÚNICA Y AUTÉNTICA GANADORA DE ESTE PROGRAMA!
  11. I... I... I literally wrote about that in my first post? I am just saying there is a difference between: - Produce 48 is going to combine the survival show with the AKB concept of "idols you can meet" and - Produce 48 is going to have a theatre. Do you see the difference? Because there is one. I'm not even going to respond to your other stuff, but that's what got you banned. They're gonna go head to head against LOONA if they're 12 indeed lol I do want them to have equal members from each country though. Having 9 Korean and 3 Japanese wouldn't be so different from any other Kpop group that has foreigners, and if they want to represent that close collaboration between the two nations, having parity is the way to go, IMO. Ohwell! I just want the first performance already. Hopefully the song will be as good as 101 CHINA.
  12. Gurl, I came here to read about LOONA. Couldn't care less about your spamming antics. As for Stage, you were banned once. You'll be banned twice. Thing is, Mnet didn't confirm anything, no matter how many tweets you find that say otherwise.
  13. You do realise that in the naver link (http://entertain.naver.com/read?oid=076&aid=0003186450) they mention nothing about a theatre? It just says that it'll combine the Produce and AKB systems. So, let me take these made up lubrications as not-sources.
  14. The theatre has been confirmed? Source? All I've read is the combination of Produce 101 with the "idols you can meet" system of AKB. Nothing about the theatre.
  15. Same here! Some of those girls really had talent (that Ariana cover. WIG). I started watching because of the AKB CHINA girls, but damn they're nothing compared to some lol Question: why is there a thread for every little thing on the show? Wouldn't it be more practical to have one thread for one show? :/
  16. I still don't believe the theatre is going to be a thing. With 12 members (and we are supposing that half would be from Japan), it would be impractical. It's already going to be hard to coordinate their agendas to record songs and rehearse choreos and film videos, imagine dropping 3 theatre performances a week in there. Plus, the Japanese members will basically be concurrent members of this group, and they would still have stuff to do with their other group (if they're in a single senbatsu, handshake events, etc). So... yeah, no theatre. I imagine they would add the whole handshake event thing to their releases though. That's part of the "idols you can meet" thing, more than the theatre, actually. To my fellow S48'ers:
