Yeah, but if Ogiyuka was supposed to be singing with Jurina, she wouldn't sing the following verse. And she takes a mic and does sing. Also, she doesn't even linger next to Jurina like "hey, I go here to...". She goes right behind her and does the same dance that everyone else is doing. So I don't know. Looks more like Ogi forgot to take the mic beforehand.

HKT does rent a theatre because their own was in a building being refurbished. The theatre has other uses when HKT isn't there, and then they just change the setting when they have to perform. Mnet probably doesn't know yet much about how to implement the 48 aspect of the group, but an exclusive theatre is not going to be it. Something like HKT, maybe. Hace a designated place to perform once a month and make it a regular thing.

I don't know what is going on in that video though. Ogiyuka starts dancing behind her like that's supposed to be her position. I think she forgot she had to take the mic? lol Jurina wanted to show off her new Produce skills and ended up sounding like crap. --- On her apology though... is it only me that thinks that was fake af? LIke... The way she speaks, stopping every two words. Her intonation trying to convey worry... Kanashii desu dakara gomen ne tte imashita lmao girl bye Click here to view the Tweet

Rika went from trying to fish fans with fake smiles to being a troll. No wonder she lost votes. It's all downhill for her from now on. ANYWAY! I am so relieved by these results. I just wanted Jurina to win, but Dasu coming in 2nd was even better!

This is a bit of a stretch. They might not be EVERYWHERE as they'd be if they were AKB members, but many still have a decent career. From Acchan who is in at least two doramas a year, to Iwata Karen who never ranked in the SSK, but has been in some plays. Just because someone doesn't appear in plenty of photoshoots and gets lots of advertisement gigs, doesn't mean they are not having a proper career. Anyway. I loved the first episode! I expected the 48 girls to be torn down, so no surprise there. Miyu getting into A is such a kii. She's been ignored by AKB for so long, and now she's ranked the best among them? GET IT, GIRL!!! All those YouTube covers paid off!

It's a Thumbnail stage. EDIT: lmao there you go! For more info: http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/7th_Special_Stage It was a special stage that AKB won in 2016 because they had the most members in the ranks. It was suggested that it would be an original stage (there have only been two since 2010), but when the 2017 election was coming and AKS was worried of being called out... they just got their last album and made it a stage lol Coin Toss is an original Okada Nana solo, but because the units depended on the girls' ranks, it went to Kashiwagi Yuki in that stage (she was 5th that year). And yes, Naachan is a goddess.

Mmmmmmmm nope. The thing is, you are posting tweets and articles that are basically speculating. Do you remember the press conference on Monday? Do you remember your angry comments because it wasn't half and half and the Japanese couldn't vote? Do you remember saying how the hype was going down because they were just taking advantage of the 48G girls? Prepare your caps lock cause it's gonna be the same when they say nothing about the theatre. Sakura and Jurina barely perform in their own theatres in Japan, and you think they're gonna make time to go and do theatre stages in Korea? It would be the ultimate betrayal to their fans in Japan who can barely see them. With just 12 members (and it's just 12 members, stop saying there's going to be Undergirls and stuff) they can't have regular performances in a theatre when the Japanese girls have other commitments in their own country. The only way they can go around it is saying "we'll do a performance at X place once a month so you can see how we improve" and rent a place for that. The logistics clearly (extra emphasis on clearly) point at the mere idea of a theatre as a scheduling mess, so why would they go through that trouble and lose money? I know you have your fantasy way of how the group should ideally work, but don't get your hopes too high or you'll just end up disappointed. Again.

That's far from an official Twitter account. I think the theatre is being mentioned more as a description to what AKB does than what they want to implement. Again, if they have had a meaningful conversation with Akimoto or anyone from AKS, they'd know it's a waste of money and resources.

Where do you see this? If it is because of the "this is a Korean tv-show" bit that we hear in the trailer... I wouldn't trust anything in it. The trailer makes it look as if it was a surprise for the Korean trainees that the AKB girls were there, when this was filmed in April/May and the announcement came in November. Like... what? lol -- As for the whole "wotas won't care about this group!" discussion. Wotas don't need to care. There is a huge different between the idol fandom and the kpop fandom. Just compare the voices cheering for BLACKPINK here and the voices cheering for AKB .Notice any difference? AKS doesn't want the wotas who are already AKB fans to care about this project. AKS wants the people who couldn't care less about AKB to find a reason to check them out. and possibly become a fan. And maybe that happens with Chori being a walking meme or with Sakura crying, who knows. I wouldn't be surprised if AKB kept this new group on a leash when they went to Japan and had them perform in AKB concerts or AKB events, or just invited themselves to throw in AKB into a P48 event. Also, once a year, AKB releases a single that includes a b-side for every one of the sister groups (all the 48 + a mix with Nogi and Keyaki), and I wouldn't be surprised if they had one for this group as well next year. Even if there's only one Japanese girl in the final group, you can bet AKS is going to find a way to funnel whatever popularity they get into AKB. tl;dr: SUPPORT KOJIMAKO! SUPPORT IKUMIN AS WELL!!

Only 4 Japanese girls dropped out? So they went from 39 to 35. The thing is, if they really wanted this to be fair, they would have cast 48 girls from the beginning and they just didn't. So, they never had the intention of making it an even split because there wasn't even that among the contestants.

From what I've seen... they haven't. They flew in the AKB girls and that's it. The 48 in the title seems to be simply for branding reasons and to promote AKB, but everything else looks the same.

The final group can just be one of the AKB sub units like No Sleeves, French Kiss, DIVA, etc. I was hoping the 96 girls would perform at this Saturday's SSK concert, but now that the Japanese can't vote... doubt it.

So... it's not Produce 101 Season 3, but more like a spin-off? A side film in a cinematic universe? Ohwell. The spreading of assumptions as facts is dangerous. Saying the final group wants to implement the "idols you can meet" concept is one thing. Saying they are going to have a theatre is another. In the end, I wouldn't be surprised if we just had a group like IOI with more songs and more events.
