  1. Ahh it's so exciting that more and more people are getting to see them ahmagahplz.png  good luck to anyone hoping to get tickets!!

I do wonder why they're releasing dates so sporadically, could be that it's just logistics but i thought we would have known more dates by now laugh.png (also could be that they're waiting for other dates to be confirmed etc). Is there anywhere you guys want them to come?

I am hoping for a few Europe dates, i really don't know if they would come to the UK just yet so i guess Berlin (if they go again) or somewhere like Paris/Amsterdam etc would be my best bet lol

Hoping for Paris so I could easily go, but at the same time the nice venues are either 1k-2k seats or 20k. The only one in between is the Zenith and it has terrible acoustics.

  2. Just going back to the Jungkook thing, it's amazing how straight people try to explain his reactions to girls by calling him a baby and captioning his pictures with, "I'm too young to see this." The guy is 21 years old. He's said he dated a girl in middle school and broke up with her because he wasn't interested in her. It's not like he's never been introduced to the concept of girls. rolleyes.gif

Not to mention BigHit has a lot of female staff, including a producer (ADORA) he probably has spent a ton of time with (they do most of the background vocals together +  she co-produced Magic Shop).

Fans should stop seeing him like a child. He's a grown man.

  3. I TOTALY AGREE. Lay really pinged me in idol producer he seemed to have a soft spot for cai. I remember when I saw a video of when he was asked his ideal type usually he states the type of girl and he said "he does not care anymore" and the caption said "when ur slowly switching teams LOL". I remember whe people thought he was homophobic I personally do not think he is.

The most suspicious of the two was definitely Xukun. Who's normally hard to read since he's pretty introverted and image-concious, but got supremely shy around Lay, who was playfully teasing everyone (especially Xukun) whenever he wasn't in stern teacher mode.

  4. Well shit. I guess I stan Kris again. I dropped him for a while because he left EXO, but also because Tao was my original bias in EXO. I liked their relationship even though I was trying to ignore EXO at the time.

Like I always say, yep. I am an idiot because, I know, that seriously doesn't make any sense to me either. 0u0plz.png

You may be glad to learn that Kris and Tao recently made up. They were invited at the same new year music show, at some point ended up standing next to each other... And when everybody thought they'd keep ignoring each other, they hugged. And then followed each other on weibo.

  5.

lol, Dingo did a video about how the hyung love the maknae, and now it's news-ade (I saw on twitter that the title was : who is Stray kids maknae biggest fan ? but it can be wrong)... For multi-fandom do you already see a group where the maknae is as much loved than I.N in Stray kids ?

BTS ! Jungkook's solo song on Wings (Begin) is a song for his hyungs where he thanks them for the love and support they gave him, allowing him to blossom and become the adult he is. Jungkook was just 13 when he joined BigHit, he says that the others basically raised him, and as a result his own personality is a mix of everybody else's.

  6. Why everyone say fake love choreo is hard? That was not even hard lol, the chorus is a bit hard but the other parts are not.

I think the hardest choreo to perform here is either sherlock and growl they have both intensity choreography like jumping while singing and the key of both songs are so high, they need an A+ skill to nailed that song

Fake Love isn't the most difficult choreography, however it won't look good if you just do the moves. Expressiveness is the most important part, you have to maintain a high level of it through the whole song, or it will look very disjointed, with the mix of contemporary-like fluidity and popping elements - two styles that require opposing energies.

  7. Always suspected him tbh. And very telling that his weibo username predebut used to be Zhu Zhu loves Exo Sehun the most.

Interesting how all the people he got close to in PD101 were also sus to me like Eunki and Shihyun etc.

The other day there was some talk in the Nine Percent thread, Zengting apparently had a rumor about having a girlfriend and I basically went "lol why is HE the first one to get such a rumor". Like, he's the only one in the group I can't imagine dating a girl.

  8. Ok really, I’ve read that so many NCT members are gay - which ones are NOT lol

I’ll just list the ones that ping and ones that don’t - didn’t include the dreamies because I don’t really watch their content:

    Ping:

    TEN

    Jungwoo

Kind of, so could be bi/pan:

    Taeyong

    Lucas

    Haechan

    Do not ping:

    Yuta

    Doyoung

    Mark

    Taeil

    Johnny

    Jaehyun

Mark doesn't really ping or anything, but some of his interactions with Daniel in It's Dangerous Beyond the Blankets were... kinda suspicious. It seriously looked like he had a crush.

  9. I think he would have had no problem mentioning it by now if he was though?

Not necessarily, it looks like since BTS' debut BigHit has added a non disclosure clause to their trainee contracts (otherwise we would have heard of at least a few ex-BH trainees, but the only ones we ever heard of trained with BTS, not after them).

  10. I think the earliest that eagle-eyed Stays have found him is their Intro Performance Trailer from Jan 2015.

And for anyone who may not know, this routine is what they (BTS) performed for the

    on 12/31/14. Minho was only 16! laugh.png

Seeing him in this perf is what convinced me he was, at some point at least, a BigHit trainee.

  11. It really is stupidly frustrating, but the skinship/fanservice culture is a byproduct of a society where heternormativity reigns supreme, and every idol is assumed if not expected to be straight. I am sure that once South Korea becomes more accepting towards LGBT people, the overtly gay fanservice will taper off since it's stuff that (shocker!!!) gay people actually do.

Wouldn't be so sure about that. If fans like it they might push the fanservice _further_ than right now. See how it is in Japan.

  12. Almost the same

    Namjoon: Straight

    Yoongi - Hoseok: Bi

Jin - Taehyung - Jungkook: Gay

Jimin: Straight/bi/gay I really can't tell, he likes to be liked I understand him 'cause I'm like this too but it doesn't have anything to do with sexual preferences, I don't know

If Jimin is straight I'll eat my shoes. He's part of a clique where about everyone else is very suspicious, so straightness is extremely unlikely. I agree it's hard to tell whether he's gay/bi/pan though, since he's a flirt with about everyone he meets.

  13. God its unfair how stigmatised crop tops (and a million other clothes) on guys are. This and Nightmare on Elm Street era Johnny Depp are the only famous examples I can think of and they both look hot as fuck

A.C.E. wore crop tops in Take Me Higher and it was glorious.

Bold fashion statements seems to be the group's signature though :)

  14. For the record I think Sehun had a genuine thing going with Tao back in the day. And speaking of Tao. The latest:

    https://www.allkpop.com/article/2018/01/former-exo-member-tao-says-his-life-is-like-hell

"My life is not much different from hell.  I'm not living a fun, happy life, in which you may all envision.   Both my body and heart are being oppressed.  I apologize for causing much concern, I'm actually sorry for myself."

How sad is this? Why is his 'body and heart' being 'oppressed'? He made the break from EXO, went back home and started his own agency. So what could be wrong? Mental health? Career not doing what he wants? And/or something else (sexuality?, ect)? Whatever it is I hope he recovers. He sounds as if he's in such a bleak place.

Honestly, this sounds like clinical depression to me.

  15. can we please not call any kind of relationship between two obviously close members as "fanservice"? please? there's nothing that gets more in my nerves, specially since jimin and jungkook are genuinely good to each other - even in a completely platonic way

Well, there's both a very real, strong friendship between the two, but also a ton of things they're doing just for the fangirls' pleasure, such as the inappropriate touching we got during the world tour. I'd say that their strong friendship is actually the reason why we get so much fanservice from these two, they're absolutely comfortable with each other so the intimacy just doesn't bother them ; and Jimin is the most popular member specifically because he's been a fanservice king from day one (not talking about interaction with the other members here, but all the abs/shoulder flashing in MVs/stages, and the solo vlives where he's just talking seductively to the camera ; Jimin is a flirt, especially with the fans).

  16. I was randomly watching an old Bangtan Bomb and I noticed (not the first time) how a member of the staff was dressed

    tumblr_ph5wv1AMgC1u8i6p7o1_540.jpg

Objectively, would you go around in a work environment dressed like this if you were surrounded by hetero guys?

Very short skirts are not something that will get you stares in Asia. They're kinda the norm, so people don't notice them.

    Cleavage on the other hand...

  17. When you sign up, you sign up to try your luck at being a star. Many, many people never make it. Most fall by the wayside.

I'm not saying they don't understand the business or haven't worked for it. But the conversation was pondering about how quickly their success has escalated to dizzying new levels, within even months, worldwide. And how dizzying success can also potentially prohibit creativity and expression. I'm arguing that it's in some way additional pressure which they probably never envisaged they'd have and in such a short time frame. They seem as surprised as anyone by their own juggernaut. Spreading the message may be helping a lot of people but what we are discussing is how spreading the message is a balancing act between true creative expression and getting lost in huge global product placement.

Yes it's a lot of pressure, but the South Korean idol industry is about selling image first and foremost, so BTS has always been very aware of what they're projecting. The balancing act has always been here, and always been a theme in their songs so it's not as if they weren't conscious of it since day one : being idols and thus selling that close-to-perfect image, but still trying to be as authentic as possible with their music. RM and Suga have always had this dilemma in them, and yes it is heightened by their rise to fame, but they've always experienced that duality. Modeling, holding fansigns, acting stupid for the camera at day ; locking themselves in their studio and writing music at night. It's been their life for five years, they're used to it, it's only the scale that has changed. Yes, the scale means immense pressure, but Namjoon is willing to take it to make his words reach as many ears as possible, because that's why he took the idol route in the first place.
