More than 16 fan sites of Chen have closed today
reiichi replied to Ddeulgi's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
There are other members of the groups that have dated publicly, and it cleaned the fandom up quite a bit. Chen may have some delusional solo stans who are taking the news badly but it's not the majority of the fandom.- 47 replies

Well the editors can't give equal screentime to everyone, why do you think they film the first four episodes well in advance ? They need time to watch all that footage and find out on who's the most interesting to watch and worth dedicating a storyline to. And of course the amount of screentime will influence viewers, so editing is going to determine a big part of the lineup. It's not rocket science to figure that out. At least the PD101JP production team chose who to feature based on criteria than made sense for an idol group - the boys are all pretty good looking, skilled, and endearing in their own way - and weren't influenced by companies paying them alcool and whores since there was nobody behind the trainees to bribe them.

The news they're translating have names in them.

oh_mes is only translating news for english-speaking kpop fans, and they're probably the less biased translation account on twitter.

If you remove the Produce-related boy groups it's only TXT, and they have this sort of attention because they're BTS' brother group. GOT7 and NCT are Big3 and they don't have GP relevance either. The average Korean only pays attention to BTS, YG boy groups, and ballads.

He did apologize for hurting the feelings of some of his schoolmates, so he probably was an inconsiderate little shit at the time, but the rumors accusing him of physical assault never had any proof to them and were denied by several people (and he personally didn't address them) so there's a pretty high chance it was a fabrication. The things there's irrefutable proof of is that he smoked and drinked while underage. It's sufficient to get kicked out of JYPE but other companies aren't as regarding.

She's rich enough herself to pay it off.

They're a boy group. The general public just doesn't pay attention to boy groups.

Netizens call out The Show for chart manipulation
reiichi replied to My Everything's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
It's been clarified though that the numbers are legit, they're based on Gaon digital chart that accounts digital sales and not just streaming, and Daniel's fans massively bought this single. -
[Naver] EXO On Radio Star - "No Matter Where We Go, We Will Be Together"
reiichi replied to elfyeol's topic in Netizen Nation
But in the end, SM only cares about their bottom line. If they bar EXO from going on TV all they're going to manage is that they're all going to leave together at contract expiration and create their own company, and this would hurt SM financially. To me them talking publicly about it is a warning to SM : if you keep managing us that way we're all going to leave, and it's going to be your loss. -
Hee Chun decided to leave for health reasons. Nobody knows for the other two. Maybe pressured into it by production so they don't have Korean members in the final lineup (since all three have been ranking in top 11 from the start, it's the only away to ensure they're out of the final group), but it could also be a personal decision not to leave Hee Chun behind. They probably gained enough attention from the show for an agency to sign and re-debut them, so their future is still much brighter than when they entered the competition.

Jungkook sucks at math though (according to himself) and math is kinda mandatory to become an engineer or a doctor. He's more of the hands-on, artistic type, so he'd probably be working his way out of university in some artistic field, if he hadn't entered the entertainment industry by becoming an idol.

They didn't get rigged into Melon chart so they were rightfully nominated. However because of the scandal they didn't get invited, or maybe they did but CJ refused to let them go (which wouldn't be surprising after the Vlive awards fiasco). And most of the time MMA doesn't give awards to people who aren't here.

Based on chart data, X1. TXT won the public voting, but the difference in charting was big enough that X1 probably was still ahead. Not saying TXT don't deserve the award, but had X1 not been effectively blacklisted, they probably would have gotten it.

Which male idols do you think are gay?
reiichi replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
In their first Idol Room episode Hyunjin's shirt was unbuttoned at the top and at some point he had to lean down a bit which exposed his chest. He suddenly got shy and asked for some double sided tape so they could have a 'safe broadcast' (his own words). As a dancer he looks pretty comfortable with his own body, but he seems to be reluctant to show skin, unlike some other members of the group. And he did get shy around Jinyoung (his role model he says, but it looked more like he had a crush really). -
Mh you know there's a Stray Kids song that has the lyrics "Nine or none" (referring to their debut process). This week at their concert the backtrack had been changed to "eight or none", but the members still said "nine or none" when they performed it. If a rookie group can say/do it, Taeyeon can. She erases Jessica because she wants to, not because she's legally bound to.

[KN] MOMOLAND’s agency and the members’ instagram posts are weird
reiichi replied to My Everything's topic in Netizen Nation
She probably was under a dating ban, but there's most probably more to it than that. The problem is that MLD hasn't issued any statement regarding her status so people can only speculate on why exactly she's seemingly been thrown out. -
Billboard Announces New Rules For Merchandise/Album Bundles
reiichi replied to Viki131988's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
It would have been much better if they had stated a minimum price difference between the merch with and without the album. Because here they basically will just have to price the album 1 cent to make the bundle count. -
AB6IX, ITZY and TXT won 'Rookie of the Year' at AAA
reiichi replied to satoori's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
AAA is sort of a joke since they give multiple awards in many categories.
