BigHit has been pretty silent about their beef with MuCore, they didn't release a statement about it, we just saw the effect. The MuCore PD however released a public statement the moment his own boycott of BH artists turned against him. He USED Seventeen to paint BH as the villains, when he should have sucked it up and admitted defeat (by silently re-inviting BH groups to his show by their next comeback). Promotion periods are extremely tiring for idols, and for older groups music show appearances are a courtesy they do to TV stations, because they don't need them anymore to get their name out, and it's a waste of time and money for the company (since they could use that time for more lucrative activities) . Groups can still like to do music shows to meet their fans, but it's been months since there hasn't been any audience so at the moment it's just a shore they do out of obligation.

She got paid, but an amount she found ridiculously low.

For once I like more than half of what they're wearing, big improvement. They're always so cute together, looking forward to their music together.

Ekko Music Rights belongs to SM though, and they're the ones collecting royalties money for her in Korea. I think it's a mix of : - over-estimating the success of the song : yes it has substantial streams , but it was by no means a success on Korean charts - having to share royalties with seven other writers - having a shitty contract that enables Ekko to keep most of said royalties (when if she lived in Korea, she would get the royalties directly from KOMCA).

Who do you think is a lesbian in kpop?
reiichi replied to Pyo Hyemi's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
Hui and Soojin were outed by a tabloid, it wasn't their choice to be exposed so they rolled with Cube saying they had broken up, because it had already been too much invasion of their privacy. It's clearly not the same situation as HyunDawn, who were shamelessly flirting on camera during Triple H promotions (Hui looked so done with them both, it was pretty funny to watch). -
[pann-choa] WHO ARE IDOLS WHO ARE ALL-ROUNDERS??
reiichi replied to bye-bye's topic in Netizen Nation
Nobody said Han f*cking Jisung yet and I'm kinda mad. My boy is not even 20 yet, is one of the best rappers in the new gen, sings very well, dances well, writes beautiful music, and can be absolutely hilarious on variety. -
Once again we can't know what Taeyong's opinion on this issue is, because SM will never let him speak about it. Maybe he doesn't care and is still the same asshole as when he was a stupid teenager... or maybe he does care and is conflicted about the issue, but won't speak up because it would impact his whole group (and not just himself).

Frankly the vilain in this whole mess is most definitely SM. Regarding the apology, the presence of so much SM staff means that either Taeyong was forced to apologize as a PR move, or he sincerely wanted to apologize and they imposed the staff in order to pressure the victim into silence about the details of the encounter (and by the looks of it they intimidated her enough to make her sign a NDA). SM are the ones who worded their statement as vaguely as they could, which only encouraged oppalogists. SM are the ones who have failed addressing the controversy ever since this initial statement, even if it pops back up every single time Taeyong has a comeback. They could totally decide to sue the antis for defamation, and would win the lawsuit even if everything is true, because it's the intention of damaging Taeyong's reputation that counts as defamation, and truth does not matter. But SM never takes action against antis. So the situation between antis and oppalogists can only become worse over time, and the only way to actually clarify the situation would be for Taeyong himself to be open about his past (like Wonho when he came back after his own controversy), except SM won't let him even if he sincerely wanted to. Moral of the story : SM is to blame for the whole situation but will never face any consequences for it. Fans of NCT who demand Taeyong's removal will only be heard it it hurts SM's finances - so if there are enough people in the fandom who boycott the next comeback, maybe they'll budge... but for now maintaining the status quo profits them, so a petition is basically useless.

The Voodoo Doll MV is rated 19+ and couldn't air on TV, that's why they also made a "clean" version - that even cuts part of the choreography. Much like BTS' I Need You has two versions, one that is fit for broadcast and one that is rated 19+ In Korea anything rated 19+ can only air after 10 PM (and during school hours), and Korean broadcasters give that rating very easily.

[theqoo] MALE IDOL WHO COMPLETELY CHANGED HIS IMAGE AFTER DIETING
reiichi replied to SLY's topic in Netizen Nation
The more defined jawline is probably thanks to dieting + natural aging. He was pretty good looking already, just chubby, and the little surgery he got (probably the usual nose job + eyelids combo just by comparing the photos) is subtle enough that his face still looks harmonious. He also got some dental work done to get rid of the uneven teeth, and above all got a stylist. That haircut was absolutely unflattering. -
Which male idols do you think are gay?

Holland has already served. Most Korean men do their service early, typically after their first year of college. -
Which male idols do you think are gay?
reiichi replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
If you haven't watched it, At Eighteen has a secondary gay character (still pretty important role) and his arc was among the best written things in the show IMO (and at least it's a bit conclusive, unlike a lot of other arcs that are aborted or rushed). It's pretty realistic, so don't expect only sunshine and rainbows, but the character is very sympathetic, and is well developed outside of the fact that he's gay (even if it's the center of his personal arc, he's not defined by it). -
It's always the same rumors resurfacing. From his debut, to this day, always the same things recycled, every time he has a comeback. In their own mind, SM did what they had to do : they issued a carefully worded apology, admitting Taeyong had done something wrong when he was younger and regretted his actions, but remained vague enough that it would not ruin their golden boy's debut. Of course there's this small portion of fans who choose to interpret the vagueness as "Oppa didn't do anything wrong and they just apologized to avoid a scandal" - which doesn't make any sense rationally, they would never have apologized for it if nothing had happened, but hey - that's oppalogists for you. The only way to clarify the situation would be for Taeyong himself to speak openly about it (because if it's a SM statement it's always gonna be treated suspiciously). But it would be an actual scandal, and it would just kill NCT's momentum so SM will never allow him to speak, as long as he's in the group. I think Taeyong was a pretty bad kid, but I also believe he's become a better person since.

[netizenbuzz] X1's Cha Junho accused of bullying in elementary school
reiichi replied to bye-bye's topic in Netizen Nation
If the rumors had happened during Produce they could have been believable. But having someone coming out to accuse him more than one year later just makes the accuser look ridiculous. -
[Pann-choa] ALBUM THAT FANS NEED TO PRODUCE THEMSELVES

Aren't they though ? -
Wonho had announced he was leaving the group for their own sake even before the drug accusations came out (the drug accusations came on top of the other things Jang Da Eun threw at him). And after the drug accusations Starship announced his departure from the agency. Officially the initial decision to leave Monsta X was his, but Starship is shitty so I wouldn't be surprised at all they took the decision and forced him to announce it (like YG did for BI). Wonho signed back with Starship after he was cleared of drug charges - which doesn't mean he's innocent just that Jang Da Eun didn't testify against him (and I get why she didn't, she would probably have incriminated herself with whatever proof she had of her allegations, and thus risked a prison sentence). And we know nothing about what happened with the other accusations (the money thing), but the matter was probably settled out of court. Hanbin's case hasn't proceeded to court yet, he admitted to past drug use when he was interrogated by the police so he may be found guilty and get a suspended sentence like TOP. The biggest thing in his case is not about drug use anyway, it's about YG covering it up, mostly by pressuring Han Seo Hee to retract her testimony.

This happened to them as they were established, not rookies. They could afford the worse reputation and so could the group. In Daesung's case it wasn't drunk driving at all, he got involved in an accident he didn't cause. He was supposedly speeding but it's not clear whether it changed anything in his involvement, since someone just crashed in from of him.

Which male idols do you think are gay?

Tbh Seungmin is a very private person, I've been into Skz since predebut and he's always been a giant question mark for me. Hyunjin is obvious because he's the opposite, super open and sincere all the time. He just wears his heart on his sleeve... you could argue that the Jinyoung crush was just platonic hero worship, but there are so many other suspicious moments since, I'd be extremely surprised to learn it wasn't romantic.
