did...I read the renr right?? holy.
Considering it's supposed to be for 16 people, it's actually not that much. It's about the price of a nice hotel for the same amount of people, but with a lot more space.

BTS don't have the bodies^^...
Jin, Jungkook and Namjoon could totally pull this off lol. They generally hide it under clothes but they're pretty muscular.

yea i think the discussion knetz are having is because the concept look similar visually, including the colors of their uniforms. not generally why buses are used. twice and bts also used buses at debut. actually bts was "school" bus too^^
Stray Kids used the exact same bus as Twice in their debut MV.
I already miss the pirate concept of Ateez >_<

Not sure about that because many of them have very little screentime. Idk, I personally prefer a bigger group than just 7.
A ton of Produce 101 contestants who had even less screentime than them, still gained a following.

At first it was rumored it'd be 12 members but then I saw that they never really stated the number of members, but people speculate between 7 and 12. I'd personally like at least 9-10, so more people can be in the group. With only 7, a lot of good contestants will miss their chance to be in a successful group
Appearing in the show will help them even if they're not part of the final lineup.

That said, past week several things came up that pointed towards Depp being abusive towards her as well. Both of them are major shit heads. I don't like the narrative nowadays that Heard is the only one at fault, because Depp is an abusive druggie and not some innocent bystander. Check all the info being released about the court case and not just the headlines. Some things being released about Depp are fucked up and he constantly claims that he doesn't remember stuff. Either because:
1. He was on drugs and alcohol and can't remember.
2. Is bullshitting.
Both are trash and I am not gonna side with either party.
Sorry but I'd believe Vanessa Paradis and Winona Ryder over Amber Heard any day.
Pretty sure that if Depp was "an abusive druggie" Vanessa wouldn't let him anywhere close to Lily Rose, she put her career on hold for years for their daughter and she's come to Johnny's defense several times.

web developement
Development, whatever the technology, strongly benefits from an engineering background. You don't become a good developer by just learning to code in whatever language is trendy, you need solid understanding of computer science.
A good developer isn't just someone who writes good code, it's someone who's good at understanding complex concepts and digest them in order to solve problems. Because 80% of the work of a developer is to find the right solution when facing a problem, writing the actual code doesn't take that much time.

Mess. I hope everything gets resolved.
Dunno whether Johnny Depp will win his own case against her (evidence seems to be sparse), but at least the trial is going to clear his name and he'll be able to go back to acting like normal.
I seriously hope Heard never gets the spotlight again, she's just a piece of shit for trying to ruin his life with false accusations.

Hm okay
I don't really know about the scandal except what happened like three years ago or whatever
It sucks if he was wrongly accused
The trial is happening at the moment.
Depp's exes (Winona Ryder and Vanessa Paradis) were ready to testify in his favor but Amber Heard has so little evidence supporting her claims that Johnny Depp's lawyer decided he didn't need to bother them with this and just cancelled their testimony.

Tours and album sales definitely make more than digitals but after everyone's paid, in the end, endorsements and gigs make idols the most net income.
Tours are the biggest money makers for about every boy group under the sun, including BTS.
Yes there's a cost to setting up a tour, but kpop concerts are very expensive, double the price of about any other concert in the exact same venues (and it's not a question of "they have to go to the other side of the world to perform here", my point of comparison is mostly Japanese artists who have to travel about the same distance).
YG sent BlackPink touring last year because they were in dire need of cash (because of LVMH withdrawing their investment). Their modeling in between comebacks does make a bunch of money without much company effort, but in the end it doesn't generate as much profit as touring.

I once ate at the table next to Vincent Cassel in a restaurant in Paris (the food was pretty good but it wasn't a fancy place).
I'm not going to count all the famous people I've seen at concerts or during conventions, but standing next to CLAMP for more than one hour while taking photos of the cosplay contest they were judging is a pretty unique memory.

This year they were supposedly gonna debut the bg with Dongpyo and at least with his fandom alone they would have good sales secured but a few trainees apparently left and now idk what will happen with the group.
I'd say they're going to debut a group anyway, Dongpyo's fame is going to fade if he doesn't get a real debut soon, and he's the company's main hope atm.
And maybe the trainees who left were cut out of the potential group in an effort to reduce the group's final size - a smaller group is just cheaper to debut and manage.

I find Daeyeol more handsome just by virtue of being the only one with a manly vibe (which makes sense since he's much older).
Favorite visuals have to be Jaehyun though, he's very pretty.

why are we supposed to hate this girl again? because she does drugs? lmao
She doesn't just take drugs, she's a dealer and the only reason why she got probation the first time she got caught was because she threw one of her clients under the bus.
Sure she helped expose the corruption at YGE but that's the only positive thing she's ever done. She obviously didn't care about the collateral damage (B.I.), and the next reputation she ruined (Wonho), it was completely gratuitous.

Absolutely.
The system, the seniority and hierarchy and the lack of support for mental health issues.
A dangerous cocktail.
The seniority/hierarchy, and the lack of mental health support, are not exclusive to kpop, are general issues with Korean society and not just with Kpop.
I'd argue that the life of a kpop trainee is pretty similar to that of a young athlete or virtuoso, and nobody questions the existence of programs aimed at teenagers with an innate talent for sport or classical music. Korean teens are extremely pressured to do well in school so becoming an idol trainee is a way to deploy their energy at something they actually aspire to do, rather than the vague aim of getting in a good university. Becoming a trainee is a choice, and putting them under pressure is a good way to weed out those who don't have the mental fortitude to withstand celebrity life.
I'm not saying the system is perfect, but most if not all of the defects of the Kpop industry are tied with how terrible Korean society at large is, and how terrible a lot of Korean laws are (especially labor law).

The idol system?
Do they think workplace bullying doesn’t exist in other industries or something?
If anything isn’t it due to Korea’s hierarchy system? Their bullying problem is really bad in all areas.
This.
Bullying is a societal problem in Korea because it's a bad look to speak against your superiors/elders, even if what they're doing is wrong.

lmao literally THIS, i really hope Starship doesn't crash and burn these two's career the way Pledis did with PRISTIN IOI members, Wonyoung is a visual queen and Yujin has really grown on me as a vocalist since Produce 48
Starship is actually pretty good at managing their groups and giving them opportunities, be they boys or girls.
But when it comes to the way they treat their idols as people, they're pretty iffy.

I meant to say Seventeen but I kept writing Stray Kids lol. I agree with you that Felix, Changin, and Minho aren't straight, but may I know why you think Hyunjin is sus?
He used to have a big crush on Jinyoung of GOT7 and didn't even try to hide it.
Also Daewhi calls him his best friend and we were just talking about friend circles so...

Hi guys! I am curious about what do you think about Kang Daniel. I know he is dating Jihyo but he could also be bi or idk something else. What is suspicious to me about him is the fact that he is close friends with Sehun, Chanyeol and Baekhyun. In a variety show where they collect tangerines(LOL) he also said he used to hang out with Sehun and we all know how gay Sehun is.
Daniel is a social butterfly so his friendships aren't any indication lol. He's at the very least open minded and just as comfortable with male attention that he is with female attention (judging by his sweet interactions with fanboys, and how unbothered he seemed by Mark's crush on him in It's Dangerous Beyond the Blankets).
Frankly the only thing that ever made me think that Daniel might be attracted to men is his reaction to shirtless Wonho and er, he might just have been impressed because it's a sight. Daniel rarely has sexually charged interactions with anyone tbh.

Have some empathy.
You can have empathy for someone (understand their struggles) while lacking sympathy for them (because they're selfish, shitty people who don't care about others, so why should we care about them).
The only reasonable thing to do with toxic people is just to shun them. If afterwards they feel terrible because of being alone... well they had it coming. And it's the only way for them to actually learn.

With her current state of mind? Yeah pretty unlikely. But with all the hate towards her and her career plummeting? Maybe. As much as her acts are despicable, there's always room for improvement, unless she choose to be worse.
Psychopathy is very, very hard to cure though, because it's linked to the development of the brain. There have been rehabilitation studies on psychopathic teenagers that showed promising results, but it's tied to the fact that teenagers' brains are still malleable, and it takes a long time. After 25 years old, brains become much less malleable, so it becomes increasingly difficult to modify deeply ingrained behaviors.

Not sure why there are so many foreigners in S. Korea at a time when international travel is either banned or taboo,
There's a pretty big number of American soldiers stationed in South Korea in the first place so most were probably already there when the country closed down ; also the military has its own fleet and airports so the restrictions to international travel doesn't really apply. After Wuhan went into isolation a few foreigners could still leave thanks to military flights.

The leader's personality has a huge influence on any group's dynamic and overall image, so when you look at Seventeen interact you just know that S.Coups is a really nice person (even when he's not present).

I hope Jimin left and reflect on herself. I don't think I can put much trust in that but I really hope she reflected and be a better person, reconcile with Mina, or at least end their conversation at a mutual tone/stance.
Reconciliation won't happen, the way Jimin acted is textbook narcissism and her initial response ("Fiction") just showed her complete lack of empathy. She's a psychopath.
