  1. Shinhwa had problems with their debut also. It took a while to gain the fan base/public recognition that they have now. Their attempt at brancing out and doing other stuff which they were successful at is what is hurting a lot of idol groups today. While doing individual activities they never forget that they're Shinhwa. Sometimes i see all these groups that have one/two people who are the face yet don't really sing/seem like a part of the group, I wonder why not just make them an actor. Why hold onto something that some members are working so hard to be a part of. I wonder if they ever wanted to be a musician (yes being an idol counts) in the first place. I know Dongwan wanted to be an actor but he always had a passion for music. And while Eric was acting he is forever a rapper first.
  2. ^ yeah I'm sure that all of them had their own reasons. I just wished that they stayed together. DBSk as a group was more powerful vocally and image wise. They really meshed well. I'm really glad Shinhwa stayed together and made that effort.
  3. The interview is so cute. I love everything they say. And Jinnie. It's so surprising/amazing? how serious and devoted he is to Shinhwa. Did anyone read the kpop article about JYJ? I'm reminded of Shinhwa and how dedicated Eric was in keeping them together and named Shinhwa. I really don't like Yoohno and Changmin using DBSK when all of them aren't in the group together. They're really not the Rising Gods of the East without the 5 of them. Some people are even taking SM's side. It's not fair when you can't even compete in the entertainment industry especially the kpop world. Yes, SM choose them to be DBSK but they made the group. They're the singers. That's their purpose - to create an image, to be singers to make money for a music company. Where was their money going? Why was it skewed when all 5 members were popular? It was the money and fear that separated DBSK. They should've believed in their worth as a group to get through the SM sanction together. Shinhwa really is a role model for the younger idol groups. They broke away from a big 3 company, fought for their name and the rights to sing their songs, won the Daesang under their new label, didn't grovel/beg to be on TV shows. That's why I love Shinhwa. Through it all they stuck together. Each of them have their contributions to the group. Andy may sometimes only have a couple of lines to rap but he and Eric and Jin sing during the chorus. They are all important to the group. All the members balance out the group. No one person is better than the other. Everyone has their own charm. They understand that SM gave them the opportunity to be Shinhwa but it was through their own hard work and perseverance that they're together and producing music today. Eric said We became Shinhwa to be singers, now we remain as singers to become Shinhwa(legend). (Sorry for always posting long comments. No one else shares my love for Shinhwa as much as you guys)
  4. I always thought it was Hyesung that was the crazy gamer. They're all a bunch of grown up boys in mens body. Always having fun.
  5. Dongwans naughty hands. Haha. He's always teasing the fans. I love the gifs of him snarling at the fans. And then asking them for a spoon for his pudding.
  6. Thanks to SFsubs. It was such a fun show. I love how they're trying to remain composed but their zany and fun selves shine through. They are such funny people and have so much character and personality. I can't wait for the second part. This interview was the best one for their comeback/promotions. Every other shows brought up old stuff, yes always a blast to hear but with 15 years there's so many stories for them to tell and a lot of hardships they overcame. 11 full albums with individual songs. No minis/singles/specials that were remade or added onto a full album. That's how great their legacy is. They're still producing quality music. And all the songs they sing represent who they are as musicians. That's why I can't stop loving them. They were and maybe are a generic kpop idol group but they have their own personality and character. The music they make is a reflection of them. They experiment but the sound and the way they sing comes from Shinhwa. Infinite performed a song on MBC and their harmonies were nowhere near how Shinhwa sung That's Right. You can hear Andy and Eric participate in the chorus. They have grown up in 15 years in a consistent manner. Their looks, concepts, music has matured as they have and their music is still relevant and refreshing to listen to and hear in the kpop world of electro pop and house and now dubstep. Shinhwa has always shared the spotlight selflessly with others and they continue to do so because they love creating music and appreciate their fans. Like Dongwan said if the fans ever lost interest maybe they, Shinhwa, would cease to be a group. But as long as there's some fans and the Shinhwa members want to sing and entertain, they aren't going anywhere. At the moment I think the only ones who are close/similar to Shinhwa is BigBang. (I love BigBang just to let you guys know ) BB has their own style. They have fans who love them. They produce music that reflects them as a group even when individually they're musically different. I don't like that they put out mini albums or remade songs to be included but I get why they did it. Beast has potential but I can't get over the "rapper" who came from a group who only sung and only ballad like songs. Infinite has potential too. They are consistent in the genre of music they're doing (variations of kpop) but they have a sound all their own. Shinee could be but a couple of their last songs sounded like TVXQ and that rock/jazz/pop mix that was Why so serious was too messy.
  7. I like how one of their video on LDH is called G-life.
  8. So many videos. Short and in another language. :( but I'm happy that there's a page where I will at least see EXILE and LDH artists without it getting removed eventually.
  9. All the boy idol groups have a long way to go until they get to here. These Ahjusshi's! really when they first wore suits to the ones they wear now. All of them in suits! Dies everytime. I was talking to my sisters about when a male celebrity gets married. They say you can't just love them the same way. I'm going to cry or be really really sad for a while. But really happy overall. Little Shinhwa babies. You just know that they're going to be really really cute, grow up as handsome as their dads.
  10. Yeah! They won for 20s Vocals! I loved Jin's looks when they didn't know which side of the stage to exit. And Leadernim handing off the mic to Hyesung. A very not nervous ShinBrief. He knew exactly what to say. Why is he awkward at hosting?! It must be because the members will tease him later. <3 Shout out to Hyori! Bad Girl indeed!
  11. They're so funny. Fanboying MinJin when they first came out. Hyesung and Andy taking pictures. Too cute. I understand where your coming from. I would've thought Suju but then it was Suju M. And 2PM seemed out of the limelight for a while. But I love them nonetheless. For tonight they won for the best comeback/male idol group popularity award. Only 1 song? :( I love the strut to the front of the stage. I need more Shinhwa.
  12. Just saw Shinhwa! Hot! Sexy! Suave men! Can't wait to see Minwoo and Jin host. Hopefully Minwoos ankle is a lot better since he's going to be standing hosting the show. And are they performing? I hope so! I'm watching only to catch glimpses of them. And to see them win.
  13. I'm watching Flower Boy Ramyun Shop. Yang Eun bi has a Shinhwa alarm clock, wearing an orange Shinhwa Changjo shirt with the members faces on it, and a hidden poster in her closet. Our Shinee from the past and our Shinee now. Episode 5! There's SHCJs all over.
  14. I love their song. The dance! Perfect. Their performance of the song live is very good. Is that movie good? I've seen the previews and stuff but I was debating if I wanted to see it or not.
  15. ^haha. Anything having to do with Shinhwa and their bods are :*^}*{^]';/$: because that's how men look like and WOW and awesome are the body's of Shinhwa. Even our Prince Hyesungs skinny frame.
  16. Dongwan! And he's worried about what?! Look at those muscles. I'm drooling here. :D
  17. ^ I'm sure that's a fanwar I don't want to be involved with. I know SHCJs are milder because of the long years being fans and being in fanwars. The younger idol group fans are scary. I hope Minwoo didn't seriously hurt his ankle. I hope it isn't like Hyesung who should get surgery on his knee.
  18. If Minwoo had to stop dancing it had to have been bad or hurt like hell. They're not young or professional dancers and even then perfessional dancers can hurt themselves. And it's Minwoo! He's the most energetic and hyper Shinhwa member.
  19. Yeah. His hair looks a bit weird. I actually miss his long hair.
  20. ^ wow. They are selling this single like crazy. Congrats to 3JSB and GENE!
  21. This live was much better. I love the dance. Elly influence!
  22. @ Nikki B All Johnny's groups have their own charm. Arashi has some nice songs. I'm just into Kat-tun more. I'll add that jpop has various musicians and entertainers that using gay to describe all of them isn't a valid reason to want acts to disappear. What was really the point of the poll.
  23. @ Nikki B maybe? But I'm not going to make any assumptions/draw any conclusions. just to mention like others have that Johnny's are everywhere in the entertainment world and not one act from them was mentioned. And like Psy said everything about Japanese entertainers was said in tandem with gay? Like really? That's how your going to explain why you don't like something. I happen to like Japanese entertainment. They love to have fun and are sometimes crazy. They don't hold back too.
  24. I want to see them do a fast/upbeat song because I think they would be fierce. Their dances are always strong. Something like Dreams Get my way as an A side would make me happy. But I love their ballads/slower songs. They're going to be known for singing these songs and that might be how LDH wants to promote them. Out of E-girls, Flower has softer songs while Happiness is the upeat and I hope Dream comes back as the fierce sexy girls they were before the other two singers left. Ami looked really mature rather than cute as the face of E-girls. I forgot how sassy she could be.
  25. ^ I agree. I was wondering the whole time where is Mayu? But I haven't seen the whole PV. Ruri's voice is mature for the fun upbeat sound of the song. If the vocals complemented each other and the song more i might like it. And i thought since Mayu would be back she would be the lead singer. Her vocals were stronger than Karens. Ruri's vocals sound like it would fit with Dream.
