let me just say something: i really appreciate every single bit of support that the LGBTQ community gets cause god knows we need it. and i'm very thankful for namjoon expressing (in timid ways) his support for us. but the amout of praise they get is completely disproportional to the amount of support they actually show. i absolutely love the boys, but lets be real here. i wish they would actually, outspokenly, say that they support the lgbt cause, not only saying that all love is equal, but actually supporting our demands. i understand why they don't, i'm not demanding them to do so, i'm just saying that i wish they would do so.

if they were doing this agains their will i would be 100% with you, but they want to show this side of them, so i'm happy to see a little bit of who they are outside of the stage. But i guarantee you they are not showing 100% of what happens, so in the end it's fine, we are seeing only the private parts that they want to show us

I think the matter here is not about him coming out or not. I would never demand anyone to come out until they fell safe to do so. What i, and other people critized, is the joke(s) that he made that, when put in context, can be quite homophobic, Heechul has spoken in the past in favour of the LGBTQ community and for that i'm thankful, but let's not pretend that everybody is as hooked up about kpop as we do, a lot of people don't know about his stances in the matter. Now the joke itself wasn't homophobic, when i saw the first time i found incredibly funny, however, when put in context, and not the context of my country, not the context of the US or Europe, but the context fo South Korea, in whitch this joke can (and most probably will) be percieved in a homophobic manner (how humiliating to be seen as a gay person). I don't think this kinds of joke help normalize gay people at all, because we are just being used as a punchline, they arent being exposed to us, yes, the are aknowledging our existence, but not as people, as a joke. What i'm questioning is: is it ok for someone to make a joke, even thought it doesn't have prejudicial intention, that will be taken largely as a homophobic joke, and the person in question knows that it will be recieved this way? I'm still reflecting about and don't have an definitive answer yet. And no, i don't blame Heechul for doing what he has to do to survive in a homophobic enviroment. I don't blame him for staying in the closet. I'm not criticizing him for presenting himself as a straigth person in front of the korean society. What i'm questioning here is the joke, that will be taken in the wrong way, and about that i still don't have a definitive thought, i'm just expressing my train of thought about the matter.

ooohhh this is an interesting perspective that i never thought about. One thing is Hong Seokcheon making these king of flirtatious jokes, 'cause even thought it's clearly a joke, he doesn't make the being gay itself as a joke. However, when Daehwi and Heechul makes these kind jokes, because they present themselves as straight men to society, the joke becomes not only about the flirt, but about them "pretending" to be gay, and how that is humiliating to them, as straight men. And just like it was said before: Heechul has been using the rumours as a joke, and i understand the delicate situation he is at, but everytime he does that and then come around to show how straight he is, it just show how he is using gay people as a punchline, "hahahahah gay people are funny amirite", and in the end it doesn't help the LGBTQ cause not one bit. And even if he is really gay (witch we still doen't know for sure until he actually comes out), he still is responsible for these jokes because he knows how these jokes will be percieved. I sill have a lot to think about this matter, but the perspective of the korean drag queen gave me a lot of food for thought

it's like trying to see stars in the sky... at noon... when there are three suns in the sky. that is the level of investigating sexuality in NCT, everybody pales compared to Ten, Jungwoo and Taeyong, we just ger kinda distracted by all the caothic gayness going on that we lose sight of the subtleness of the others lol

it's not a proof in itself, however when added with other indicatives, it may suggest some leaning towards the LGBTQ side cause we normally support/listen to artists we fell a bigger connection with. However i see your point, the majority of Troye Sivan and Adam Lambert fanbases are straight girls

well here in brazil girls sometimes give hickeys to guys, but well it's brazil and i guess most of us know our fame i guess Korea is like your country, from what i know about korean culture, i don't think a girl would give a hickey to a boy specially in such a visible place and hoseok sweetie, you have access to all kinds of makeup do you really had to leave it so obviously visible lol
