  1. Honestly, we can see the partnership has already frayed somewhat. For Yuehua, the Korean members seem not to exist, and for Starship the C-Line only exist when they are IN Korea (or with the K-OT10). That is not exactly how a partnership works. I though the companies were in this together for what's best for the ENTIRE group for the long-term.

They invited UNine to their "family" concert but not OT10. So the Korean-Chinese split is complete. Time to think of WJSN as Starship only. Xiao is a solo act now. When RG ends, MeiXuan will go solo too, look at Meiqi's singles and OSTs and Xuanyi's shows. In fact, Xuanyi's projects like the astronaut show already take precedence over RG stuff.

Confused as to why they are having it in Macau instead of mainland China probably meant they had at least some thoughts of bringing in some of their K members (not just WJSN.) In fact, it doesn't make sense not to do it on the mainland if it were always just Chinese members. Between Unine and Nex7 they could probably sell out a stadium so why bother with a 8K concert hall in Macau if you don't intend to bring Korean members?

But YH is a snake of a company regardless. At least Ujungs suffer less than Unicorns from what I read on twitter. YH completely ripped apart Uniq and sent to survival shows from IP2 to Produce Camp to Broduce X. lol

  2. It's a justifiable worry. I do think all 3 members of the Chinaline care about WJSN and the Korean members, but it is clear now that Yuehua's gamble to send MeiXuan to Produce 101 paid off big time. At this point Mei Q, Xuan Yi, and Xiao could all have successful solo careers of some sort in China and rake in the cash.

Meanwhile, in Seoul, it looks like we are going to have a third straight comeback (maybe in the Summer?) of just the Korean OT10, with Yuehua clearly making Cheng Xiao's schedule too busy and difficult to participate on purpose.

Everything depends on the THAAD ban. There are signs it is loosening. If it is lifted in next year after the disbandment of the Rocket Girls then there is no way Yuehua would not test out OT13 in China. It would be stadium concerts on the level we see now from RG. I think if it happens, WJSN would be on the level of EXO in China which would automatically raise the girls profile in Korea as K media/net picks up on it.

If it doesn't happen, WJSN will still remain a very good GG in SK. It is a matter of being in the next tier (and being on level with BP, RV or Twice) or not.

  3. This... the implications means so many things I don't know what to think :ahmagah:

What is this "beautiful" thing with WJSN for April? asffeglwken

Omg, maybe WJSN will have some promo in China? C-ujungs really deserve to see the girls :rlytearpls:

PLEASE something where they can promote together...I saw that Rocket girls members will do more solo promotions after their concert

Didn't think it was possible until I read about the mood of the Rocket Girls concert. It felt like a final concert according to a tweeter there. They bowed for a longer time. The girls held each other longer at the end.

Weird since they have a year and a half left on their contract -- unless it means they will be away from each other for a while. This could be the compromise between Tencent and Yuehua during the pullout episode -- first year exclusively RG, 2nd year more freedom with original groups:

  4. It's a very close competition amongst all these visuals. Some sites put Yiren as the visual.

I guess it still comes down to personal preference

    Strong visual in this group.

    Most likely Yiren I think

Yes, very strong visuals. Can't argue against a girl chosen by her peers as the visual of PD48.

BUT it is hard to see a younger version of Bae Suzy and not see her as the visual!

  5. Rocket Girls all over the world:

Fu Jing still slaying in Paris:

Chaoyue with Kobe bryant in Shenzhen!

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=YPmvoa8GBiA

A whole bunch of them were at the Tomorrowland Music Festival in France:

Now Meiqi and Sunnee in Houston with James Harden and the Rockets!

All this before a big (oversold) arena concert at the end of the month.

My first time standing a Chinese group and I am surprised that they would keep me so well fed with activities and songs. Their shows, OSTs (they are involved in some of the biggest blockbusters), concerts and even CFs really give me new insight into not just the growing CPOP industry but I think even China itself.

    I love this group!

  6. The SK market has been saturated for years. The market looks good because they have a lot of "disposable" idol groups that don't survive long with new ones filling up their spots. The market isn't growing.

Well, it is only 50M people. There is a reason why K-ent has overseas markets as a core strategy. We can only grow by exporting our cultural products. But what the home market does is to keep the standards up and the creativity flowing. It is prestigious and can lead to greater international exposure.

That said, you can't expect to make a whole lot of money in a saturated of just 50M especially compared to the 1300 million of China.

  7.

Chaoyue will attend FIBA Basketball World Cup Draw Ceremony, together with Yao Ming, Jason Deruld and Kobe Bryant!gE4O1f1.png

Chaoyue in a web drama called æžé™17 (Limit 17). There will be other RG members like Rainbow iirc:lol:

Wow, Chaoyue is everywhere. Never thought she would become this big.

I thought she was China's Sohye -- less-than-talented fan favorite who was rightly overshadowed once the final group debuted. But Chaoyue is front and center even over Meiqi and Xuanyi.
