  1. danshi koukousei no nichijou. none of my friends know that anime eventhough they are weebs.

I thought a lot of people knew about this one? Very good anime though.

Hmmm, Gansta is underrated, I think. A lot of the other ones I have watched are not as mainstream, but are very highly rated usually by people who watch a ton of anime.

  2. I feel like the treasure box trainees are the most popular international.

Unfortunately, their prior exposure won't help them too much since ifans can't vote. I'm not sure how much of a Korean following any of the ex-treasure box boys have compared to some of the other contestants that have already debuted.

  3. They did Mahiro and Jyunghao dirty tbh

My boys better get more screentime

I'm really questioning how in the world Jyunhao got put into F/X ?? The only thing I can think of is that the song was too hard for him to learn in a short time because of the language barrier? Idek.

Sorry, side note, idk if anyone posted yet. But the FNC trainee, Wei Ziyue was on All for One, a cpop competition show, and here's a clip of him if anyone is interested. :)

I'm sure there are more, but I don't have the energy to find it all at the moment.

And my most favorite recent Zhengting clip

Happy birthday to the sweetest, most dramatic, cutest bean.

  5. As someone who wasn't involved or know about anything that happened with regards to the situation, it shouldn't be that difficult to issue an apology that doesn't attempt to deflect responsibility for one's words. Regardless of personal feelings or context, it doesn't change the fact that users felt as if they were either being attacked or discriminated against. And this is WRONG no matter what happened. And as moderators, the role entails a degree of professionalism that clearly hasn't been on display with regards to how this situation is being handled.

  6. -And if you look at the likes of their posts they almost have the same average likes from 3 to 9 ranks except for nn and xukun. Something fishy going on with ziyi followers lol

-Just watch 9% recent interviews. They even won't look at each other now.i.e Justin Bday greeting

-So far none. Probably it won't happen for awhile with next7 and xukun tours

Except that's not true. During Justin's birthday greeting, when Yanjun tried to explain how Justin imitated a cat, he looked directly at Zhangjing (and Zhangjing looked back at him) even though Zhengting was right in the middle of them, to the point that Zhengting had to nudge Yanjun to get his attention.

^^ this moment, lol. Zhangjing and Yanjun right now are pretty much being separated on purpose by the company to no fault of their own because of their fans. It's really sad.

mess when the date closest to you is such bad timing

AWEPFIOAIOWEFPAWEF I CAME ON TO POST ABOUT THIS. OMG. :/ Did you guys notice that he's doing LA and then NYC the night after? Tbh, that is super tiring....

  7. I think iQiyi is walking a tightrope with vote buying. They got a pass last year, but the authorities were pissed at Tencent last year after their VIP pass vote buying fiasco. I thought these types of shows wouldn't be able to air so they'd stop this practice, but I guess sponsors are still king. Maybe it's because with Tencent, they were the ones pocketing the money? and this one seems less of a scam? but it still feels so wrong, especially when companies are basically showing off how many they bought or rather how many votes they have. How is that even fair? these companies should be banned from participating. This is not even healthy competition anymore.

However I also keep thinking how one of the main goals of Chinese shows is to be talked about to the point where your show is consistently being listed at the top of the search trends. I guess that's the thing that gets sponsors to give more money to your platform/network. Conflict is a great way to get up in search, I'm sure these shows actually love it when one contestant's fans get organized to bash another contestant's fans or company. The more conflict, the more buzz.

I think they were mostly pissed with Tencent last year more than anything else because they were basically pocketing the money and obviously manipulating rankings. They seemed okay with the Nongfu thing tbh and only really started coming after the show after Tencent did what they did.

I am not a fan of the vote buying. Sigh.

  8. I've ended up liking the songs the way they modify it way more than I thought I would, but they still need help selecting songs. The only one I thought "Oh, that's going to be so good" when I first saw it is Retreat by Gen Neo. I hate A Mei's Fire, but I actually enjoyed the way the song sounded in ep 4. Was also quite impressed with the results of the season 1 songs. I mean this time around, why so many old ballads that are pretty much the same style? Why can't they choose something from Khalil Fong or Tia Ray? Just something a little different.

I would kill for some Khalil Fong.

  10. The live action Rurouni Kenshin trilogy was also amazing. It received a lot of praise and hype.

THIS. Live actions can be good, but American remakes are tragic. Also, Kimi No Na Wa is like one of the worst movies for them to try and adapt? The cultural aspects of the movie were very important to the storyline. They better have some good scriptwriters in order to save this incoming trainwreck.
