Literally no one is tricked by this though.....? And uhhh, lol, tbh I think YG is doing fine with regards to the new gen's visuals/musical ability? I honestly have no clue who in YG you're referring to with this comment. Unless you mean you think YG needs to find even more visual trainees? lol He is. I think he'd get a huge popularity bump if he got a segment of screentime.

He's clearly the most lacking in Korean, but isn't he also the one that's studied the language for the shortest amount of time? Hard to say with dancing. He's not a natural dancer, but at this point, I think he'd do okay with an assigned choreo and lots of practice.

-cries at Junkyu in your sig- When they placed those ears on him, I was like, thank you editors, thank you production crew, thank you everyone that made this happen. Lol, he hated every minute of it though.

YG and that whole visual BS was 100% mediaplay to generate more interest. lol let's be real. And I didn't mind him spewing all that BS since it was pretty obvious he was just using it for interest. And Jinwoo is legit one of the prettiest flower boys in the industry tbh....really hard to get to his level lol. I do think a few of them have the power to be really top-notch visuals in the industry in a few years or so. Mashiho gives off really strong flower boy vibes. ^Astro is a good example, but the only downfall is you don't want to build a group that relies too heavily on that one person with visuals hitting it big. :/ Astro needs to be promoted as a group more imo. Eunwoo is already outgrowing the group too quickly.

On a very basic level, I would agree with this. Talent needs to come first. But the reality is that kpop is a business unfortunately, and I still think the purpose of every company is to make a group that is the most marketable, not necessarily the most talented. Not that I think you can have NO talent and still make it, but a group clearly doesn't need every single member to be the "ace" per se. I think it's just as bad to do either extreme. It is preferable to have some sort of middle ground and have all the members fit comfortably into a role in the group. But yeah, this point is moot because they're all pretty good looking anyway.

Thanks for giving him a listen.

Please recommend me Animes as good and interesting as Death Note.

If you liked Death Note, I was going to recommend Psycho Pass. That was the first that popped into my head genre-wise. -
Haha, I can picture that. So far I feel like his face has only really been shown for reactions.

Ahhhhh, I just saw the Good Things performance, and I'm like sort of disappointed actually. Not because of the singing, but the camera work was so awful? :/- 4,981 replies

I fell in love from the moment in his intro vid when I realized he was singing a really different rendition of a SISTAR song. I really want him to get some screentime. Someone commented on his intro vid that they were reminded of Jeong Sewoon, and I could totally see that. And he sang a little bit in his good morning vid. I'm not sure, and I feel like it's hard to tell since the show is hosted off of vlive? Like there's no ratings or something we can use to compare. And I don't stalk Korean websites much so I don't know whether there have been news articles or not. My guess would be that it's doing better than MixNine but still on the lower end. I highly doubt that the show could ever hit Produce S2 popularity regardless. If anyone does stalk Korean news sites, I'd also be interested to know this.

Just dropping in to say that I'm really proud of everything Mino has achieved with this comeback + give a few thoughts on the album. First off, I've been watching NJTTW, and I'm really really happy he joined this show. It's just so good, and he must cherish the other cast members a lot. They all seem close and fun. The songs I like best besides Fiance are Aurora, Agree, Um..., Rocket, and Alarm. Aurora: Very happy song, puts me in a good mood. It gives me a similar vibe to Air off Winner's album. Ugh, sounds so good though, seriously. The lead-in to the chorus is my favorite part. Also, makes me laugh because of the NJTTW scene with the aurora stuff. Agree: Omg, this is my favorite song off the album with regards to rapping. The delivery and flow of everything was just SO GOOD. UGH. IT'S SO CATCHY. I can't. Honestly, this song reminded me of why I fell in love with Mino's rapping. His rap on the beat too, I felt like he hit the music soooo well in this song. Um...: I really liked that he featured Blue.D. Very chill song in general, something that I would listen to while doing work for sure. And I felt like their parts fit together really well. Rocket: Honestly, obsessed with the part where he makes the rocket sound? Also really good rapping. Alarm: The lyrics. :( I really related to this song lyrically.

Finished watching Episode 4. Honestly, I'd really like to give a round of applause for the production team on this? I've been watching so many survival shows lately, and the set-up/production for Treasure Box has been better than all the recent Korean survival shows having to do with forming groups. They have been doing a good job trying to display as many of the trainees as possible with the allotted time that they have. There are obviously a few they focus on heavily as favorites, but they're trying. I was pleasantly surprised by their performance of Love Scenario. Honestly, it was the first time that I had really taken notice of Mashiho. He has amazing stage presence and doesn't seem like a trainee while performing. Also, Jeongwoo and Mashiho rapping was quite adorable. Blackpink cut was great. They were fun, and it was enjoyable to see the vid clips. Yun Seo's video made me die laughing, ngl. And Jisoo is so savage, she makes for great tv. But yeah, it was nice seeing them guesting, and I'm hoping that some other YG idols show up at some point just for judging purposes or mentoring. I like the Going Crazy song. It gives me Jpop vibes a little bit? The performance was good though. I wish the camera work had been slightly better just so I could see the dance though. From what I saw, the choreo was not bad. I liked the part with Haruto's rap in the choreo. Mashiho and Yedam really stood out for me here. You can tell Yedam has a lot of experience on stage. They were overall a good group. I was happy with Yoonbin getting screentime because I like him but he hasn't been shown a ton yet. Ooooof. YEONGGUE GETTING SCREENTIME. He's actually one of the voices I like a LOT in the show so I'm happy that he got the spotlight. Poor boy seemed so surprised that he was picked at all though. I enjoyed the format of the 1:1 battle where it seemed more like a duet than anything else. I think that's a good way to present the performances. Also I enjoy how it's an audience vote vs. YG's vote. Good show format to be honest. Makes it interesting. I also liked the performance of Stay. I do think Yeonggue's voice fits the song a bit better, and I probably would have voted for him too. Jeongwoo did perfectly fine though. Overall, the show is progressing along well. I don't have any major complaints with production, which is rare. All the interactions have been really adorable, and I like pretty much all of the contestants. I'm really hoping multiple groups are going to come out of this show, but I still don't have a clear picture of how I'd want them mixed up. I kind of would like Jeongwoo in the final group, but I think the younger group still needs a strong vocalist to anchor them, and I'm not sure Yeonggue would suffice alone. (Now if only Seokhwa can get some screentime. Does anyone besides me like his voice? ) Side note: I love Raesung, but I agree that he might be better off as a full time producer. It seems like that's what his first love is anyways, and I'd rather him be happy. Tbh being an idol is not super fun? You get constantly criticized and have no privacy etc, etc. If Raesung can be involved with the idol process but still avoid all the negative shit, I think that's a perfectly fine career path to choose too. I DO hope that he makes a cameo on this show though. It would be nice to see him.

I'm happy to see Yeonggue getting some more attention. I actually liked him from the start, but he hasn't had a ton of screentime before now.

Agree with this. A show produced bringing in a lot of different companies is drastically different from an in house yg survival show. They are able to edit things to portray what they want. And at the end of the day, they're not going to somehow evil edit their own trainees. The goal would be to make everyone profitable for their company. Kinda like how twice was formed tbh. JYP in house show and he made "rules" for the final group, but he obviously broke his own rules to form the most profitable group. Like bringing back Momo even though she was already eliminated. His staff had fully intended her to be in the final line up regardless. Or adding Tzuyu which was another no brainer.
