Not trying to be alarmist, but reality is no matter how bad or not it ends up being once panic sets in things will get crazy. Best to prepare now. Stock up on non perishable foods and medicine. You don't have to go crazy or let it keep you up at night but you def don't to end up in a bad situation!

Like any time where you have cross cultural interaction, you're going to have conflicts and misunderstandings. We have seen this many times with international fans complaining about Kpop stars being culturally/racially/ethnically/etc. insensitive. All though I am not sure how much this has really affected said Kpop stars careers. You also have a lot of people, in and outside Korea, who write Kpop off as just silly, shallow, "manufactured" music. I do not think kpop will ever be popular with the general public internationally due to this perception. East Asian culture is also very niche internationally and has a had a hard time reaching your average person outside of East Asia for what ever reason so that is another factor. A lot of people who are fans or Japanese or Korean culture are viewed as being weirdos, lbr.

I can't remember, has BTS crashed Melon before? I don't think they have... I also don't think as many international fans stream on melon nowadays since the kfandom has grown so much and international fans have well organized spotify/apple music streaming campaigns. So traffic on Melon shouldn't be as crazy as it could have been.
