  1. I love girl crush concept. But it is gone. What do we have in the new gen? BlackPink?

Sorry the greatest girl crush groups died a few years ago: 4 Minute, 2NE1. Even Fx and Miss A are basically dead.

No, the world is all GFriend and Twice. lol

Hyuna is rolling in her grave now. Oops, she’s still alive.

Anyways, 48s with their girly ways can’t do girl crush. It’s a KO-rean thang. Sorry.

Well, CLC recently is going more into girl-crush, Red Velvet Bad Boy was girl-crush, too. Mamamoo is always girl crush (just not typical one), I-dle debuted with girl-crush, Loona subunits are mostly girl crush, so full group debut is propably going to be girl crush, new EXID comeback was also girl crush not sexy like usually.

Dreamcatcher is doing scary and dark concept, but I think we can say there is some girl crush there.

We can't expect new girl groups to be 'ctrl+c ctrl+v' of old groups - let them shine on their own.

If you think/want this girl group to do girl crush and you have some weird hatred towards cute, you mind as well drop this group before their show even come on because no way are they becoming a girl crush dominated group. At best you’ll get one every once in a blue.

Pretty sure they’ll have a variety of concepts, 48Gs aren’t concept based anyway. So they’ll probably do cute, innocent, fun, quirky, mature, dark, girl crush, and maybe even scary.

But yeah if you’re gonna complain about the group doing cute, I suggest you go stan (G)-Idle, BlackPink, etc.

Actually I hope they'll do many different concept.

By the way, hi everyone, I've been a fan of Akb48 since 2011 and also a survival show freak. My pre-show favs are Jurina and Gaeun (if the rumors are true lol)

Let's be friends! I'm gonna fangirl on them, so let's do it together :P

  2. I want produce48 go with girl crush concept, I'm tired with cute concept lol

I prefer IOI whatta man like-y song or make noise-hkt48 for their music hohoho

I think that would be the best option. They wouldn't go for sexy - after watching season1 of P101 even if they did 'more sexy' concept for evaluations it was more the 'a bit sexy' type than 'sexy'. I feel like girl crush will be the best recived by public so they'll go for the save route for the final group, but during program we will propably see many different concepts. I would not mind if they decide to go for 'strange' or oryginal concepts - like Orange Carmel, or something like T-ara LoveyDovey or RollyPolly. Personally, I feel like I would like to see the most something between Mamamoo and GFriend concepts.

  3. Untill I saw her in "Must be now" I didn't know what 'girl crush' means :P

Srsly, she is my first girl crush since ever. I mean, I like a lot of female singers/idols, bush she is the first one that made me go like 'wow' when I saw her for the first time. And that was a few weeks ago :P

  4. I think Gaeun has a good shot in making in to the final lineup if NU'EST publicly supports her. Yoonjo wasn't expected to be Uni.t final lineup but she got public support from a NU'EST member in the last few days of voting. Of course that is if Koreans are allow to vote for Korean trainees.

True, and no one even thought she’d make it let alone shoot up to #4 so if Yoonjo can do it I could see Kaeun making it too

Plus she’s probably the only Pledis girl going on the show, so Nu’est fans wouldn’t have to split their votes

I'm sure it'll be mentioned on show that she was in After School, so people may not remember her, but group was quite famous some time ago plus she might have some fans (not many propably).

As for support from Nu'est - it'll work if Koreans are allowed to vote for Koreans. As for votes from Japan... Nu'est was active for long time in Japan, so they have some fans (that's how they were able to survive and that's why they're good at japanese) so she might not be the most popular, but get some votes (generally we have to see how popular show will be in Japan).

She is also the exaple why debuting at young age may be good thing - she is still young to stry again.

  5. Omg, I also assumed Yanjun was bad at English after the angle thing + the staff making fun of him for it. I know a lot of the international schools have stuff in English, but I feel like actually having a conversation in a learned language is difficult. I remember taking French in high school and my reading and writing was okay enough to get by, but I couldn't have a conversation with someone at all haha.

Welcome to the fandom! This is also the first cpop/mandopop group from the new generation anyway that I am supporting.

Well, actually if you read what he wrote under one of his pictures he might be quite good at english, but might not feel confident or was just joking :P

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BheCWQrlMgB/?taken-by=888mob

  6. Well, maybe their English is not as bad as we think :P

But on the other hand LYJ spelling mistake in angel lol [but seriously, I understand it, because I usually have to check spelling of many simple words in English because I have no idea how to write them correctly]

I think most of them are from rich families so they were propably send to after school classes when they were younger, but on the other hand we have ZZT who just said that he was not interested in studying and then he started dancing and then it became his priority, so propably he gave up on many subjects at school and were one of those who somehow passed exams [just my assumption].

Some of them might have decent english or at least on the level to handle simple situation, they're just not boast about it.

All we know is CXK studied in states so his english is propably good.

Maybe we should wait for reality show - then we will propably see their english abilities :P

  7. Maybe they'll make top 12 the representative of group and the other as supporting team - I mean for concerts and albums. Let's say group A (the main) and B. When the A group will record title track, promote in music programs (if they're going to have theater they'll propably not have that long-period promotions), promote in theater, variety shows etc, the B team will have also some songs on albums and will go on variety shows (those 'less popular'), they will also support A team in music shows (some 'special stages' from time to time) and in theater (some kind of support team before A enters (like on western concerts) or they'll be performing while A team is changing clothers).

But on the other hand, what if they're not talking about the concept of debuting group, but the way the program is done? Maybe instead of normal final we will have the election ceremony like in AKB? And the theater thing is going to happen at the program?

  8. Hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s been implied by insiders alongside there being teams.

Stuff like the Korean public voting only for J-girls & Japanese public voting only for K-girls, alongside there being 12 members for the final lineup has been debunked

I think that they should make something like vote for 6 japanese and 6 korean for both sides, because they're 'stealing' opportunity from japanese to have influence which japanese members they're gonna have in a team and from Korean of Korean members :/

  9. The theater thing would be great for girls because they could make extra money - as we know girl groups are usually strong digitally, but have weak physical sales and they don't do a lot of concerts like boy groups so it takes them long time to break even. So with theater in Korea and Japanese promotions they could earn good money.

Anyone knows when first ep will air?

  10. On the one hand, I really like how good quality those photos are and how good looking they are, but on the other hand I wish those photos didn't exist. I mean, they went there to have fun and take a break, but they're followed everywhere by those fans, so they have to be careful of their actions and can't relax.

I mean firstly the crowd on the airport and then they're followed to hotel and everywhere they go.

I wanna keep my eyes on them, so I'm definitely gonna watch Happy Camp or the reality show they're going to do, but my mind can't just accept fans following them everywhere. It's like stalking or even sasaeng fan. Seriously, we need to respect privacy. No matter how much we like them, we shouldn't follow them everywhere.

I hope my european mind is not strange and I'm not the only one thinking that way.

  11. They propably gonna promote in Taiwan (Maybe Makau too). They might to some overseas concerts/fanmeeting but it'll be propably Malaysia or another country (maybe Thailand) where there is big Chinese population with young people actually following chinese idol groups (aka tartet group). We shouldn't compare chinese singers to idol group, because that's different level. I mean - will a chinese middle age man living in US or chinese old lady go idol group concert? I don't think so, but they might attend a concert of a singer, who they like.

  12. I don't think Xiao Gui will feel left out in this group like some of you are worried about. The reason why Xiao Gui seems like he isn't close to the other members of 9% is because you haven't really seen their interactions much. Bu Fan and him were in almost every song together except a one or two. Just like how Huba is almost always in the same group as ChengCheng and Justin so people just assume they are closer to Huba then XG.

-In one interview Justin was asked whose room does he go to often and he said XG and Huba because their room are neat/tidy.

-In another interview with ChengCheng, it was asked whose room do you go to often and he said XG and Huba. They asked what he does in there and he said they sometimes talk about rap (improving skills), music, life things etc.

-In another interview Justin was asked to ask one thing to people in other rooms and he said, Xiao Gui when are you going to change your hair? I wanna see it.

-In an interview ZZT said he often has to go fetch Justin from other people's room because he is always sleeping in another room, not theirs.

    - (posted earlier) XG was asked does he go to other people's room and he said that ChengCheng and Justin often go to there room looking for food.

Ideal room set up if it's 4 to a room: Xiao Gui, Ziyi, YZJ, and LYJ. FCC, Justin, ZZT and Xukun (not as messy as the other three, but not as neat either.

I don't think ZZT, Cheng Cheng and Justin should be/will be rooming with Xiao Gui. The reason why those three normally room together is not because they are from Yuehua, but because they are messy/dirty and Xiao Gui is actually neat/tidy. ZZT said in a interview clothes are everywhere and they just pick up whatever they see on the floor that looks clean and put it on, regardless of who it belongs to. laugh.png

Side note: ZZT had FCC and Justin before, but now adding XG to the mix...it'll be even harder to control these kids.

Just tried to imagine ZZT playing with XG the way he plays with FCC or Justin, hahahahahahahahaha :D :D :D ahmagahplz.png

I'm not worried about XG - I think he will blend well with them.

He may eventually turn into HMH (Wanna one) of 9 percent who will be going around cleaning and complaining about others being too dirty :P Also there are also other guys, not only yuehua boys in 9%. Some of them might be into cleaning, too. Maybe LYJ since he takes shower 3 times a day :P

  13. Idol Producer final song 'It's okay' was produced by UNIQ Luizy. Quite shocked when I saw it, but wow :D

    Source: https://twitter.com/UniCode_ING/status/982299227588931584

BTW, I kind of started to like Mack Daddy. The problem with this song is phrase 'Mack Daddy' and the fact that some of those boys are just so young that it's just awkward to watch it.

PLUS I found this one - can anyone tell me what has happened cause I can't find it anywhere :(

    https://twitter.com/zhuoyue_li/status/982838026375118848

  14. I think that it would be nice if they do some kind of game (like Wanna one did) to chose roommates - of course it would be nice if they show this funny process to us.

Also who's gonna be the leader? I think it might be ZZT or LYJ, cause in IP he showed many times his desire to be leader. They can include it too in variety show :P Please make one!

  15. I'm so pleased at how well fed they were on IP.

Everyone took the finale so seriously. Even Wang Sicong showed up. Everyone makes fun of his bored expression, but I'm impressed he showed up! Wow.

This is not to be mean to ZZT but that was a naive statement from a young guy when you look at his peers, Huba, Mubo and others who have done the survival thing over and over to try to make it. Two times is nothing

Well, actually everyone's situation is different. We shouldn't compare. It also depends on your expeariences and state of mind.

Actually, I understand his way of thinking. When thousands of people look at you failing twice, you start feeling ashamed, questioning yourself and you know that people expect you to quit because 'now you should know you're not good enough' (because you failed = not good - it's actually very stupid way of thinking but well... we can't do anything about people thinking that way)

On the other hand people like Huba who tried 8 shows - I admire their courage to keep going.

Naïve? you can't even compare the two. Think about his background for a second, left home at a very young age (probably 10 or much younger) to go to a prestigious dance academy where you pretty much don't have support of your family or much of a childhood. They probably get ranked on a weekly basis against their peers and made to feel like if they aren't #1, they are worthless. You can tell he's very hard on himself. I feel sorry for anyone with this kind of background, him, Victoria, Yang Yang, etc.

He said his mom is supportive when it comes to his dancing (as from other interviews I guess she is not happy about being idol, but kind of accepted it?), but also have high expectation. On one hand I actually envy him that at least she is supportive to the dancing :/ imagine those people whose parents are not supportive at all, but have expectations and demand from their child a lot.

I also admire the fact that he gave up so much. But when you give up to much for something and you fail, it hurts even more.

  16. Am I the only one who thinks LYJ votes are not necessairly manipulated? He could gain really big fanbase because he is good looking, funny and he has good skills when it comes to performance. If his fanbase was motivated to make him enter the top 9, people writting bad comments about him on the internet wouldn't matter.

In getting final spots in idols competitions like that it's more important to have dedicated fanbase, than be public friendly [that's my conclusion after watching few of them].

Also if it was manipulation they wouldn't put him into 5th spot :/ They would put him at 7th or 8th.
