It may be just me, but honestly I would be more than content if they have a good amount of success... they don't necessarily need to hit it HUGE like the likes of Wanna One - sure they're extremely popular but everything they do go under scrutiny and a lot of their fans make life much harder for them. In the end, I just wish for them to enjoy enough success to be well recognised but still be happy with their career.

Well a few of them have fellow labelmates on the other group, so naturally these people would at least chat. The others tho... Idk I imagine them either speaking formally and only when necessary or pretend they don't exist and interact only with their respective groups... I agree it does feel unnatural, but it's probably somewhat necessary considering they are at a very important time in their careers to make good impressions they wouldn't want any mess ups or misunderstandings. Considering how irrational some fans can be, it's best to take extra precautions...

I preferred Drag Me when I first heard the teaser, but when the full song came out I preferred DWTD. I also personally think DWTD sounded much better live than Drag Me. Both studio versions sound a bit unpolished though imo, I don't know how to describe it but studio DWTD sounded a little flat while studio Drag Me had too much layering and processing over their voices.

Since today's a pretty quiet day without much new stuff going on, I hope you don't mind if I start this: I'm pretty curious: How many of the groups that participated in the Unit have you actually heard/know of before watching the Unit? For me, boys: Day 6, Myname, Boyfriend, U-Kiss, I heard of "the group of boys wearing hotpants" but didn't know they were called ACE lmao Girls: Hello Venus, Spica, Brave Girls, Laboum, Dalshabet, T-ara, DIA I probably know far less than a lot of you coz I'm not an avid Kpop follower..........

Hi! Good to find a thread where I can talk solely about Jun... it's kinda weird and might annoy non-Jun stans if I constantly talk about him on other the Unit threads I got to know Jun through U-Kiss, but not immediately when he was added (I took a break from following them at that time). I actually only found out about him during Stalker era, and the moment I saw him and what he could do I knew he was destined for huge things. U-Kiss promotions weren't doing much so I felt bad for him but am very glad he gets to shine through his drama and the Unit! Hoping for better things in the future! For Jun stans, especially those from watching him on the Unit, I'm actually very curious as to what exact moment/performance made you stan him? Or even not from the Unit, what was that 'defining moment'?

I just read this again properly. Did they just..... give up on letting voters decide the group names?

San E... let's just say I'm glad he changed his hair for the finale............... His random bursts of English were weird, but they didn't bother me. (at least nowhere near the level his hair did) That said, I do think despite his cringey moments here and there, he did a good job as a mentor. He was at least dedicated to his job and delivered solid advice where it mattered. Jo Hyunah and HCY tho... they were valuable additions to the mentor lineup. They were encouraging and sweet. I've seen HCY actually trend in Naver search once after an episode where he encouraged Kijoong during his puberty voice struggle, that's got to mean something! Especially like Rain's and HCY's occassional neighbourhood ahjussi banter and Rain trolling everybody and HCY included during the finale #1 announcement.

Haha, I do agree Jun and Euijin look really good together. I see a lot of people pairing him up with other girls too - mostly Yebin, ZN and Suji. It's kinda hilarious when they crop their pictures in such a way that they look like a couple.

Yeah I feel you on Seyong and Gunwoo... Myname was one of the very few groups on the Unit that I knew of in the sea of unknown groups. I don't really follow them (really liked Message when it came out tho), but I have a particular appreciation for Gunwoo and his masterpiece of a voice.

By the way, didn't DWTD team win the Tik-Tok challenge? What was the prize? Wasn't there an individual Tik-Tok challenge as well?

As for the topic of watching survival shows... Honestly I've never been a fan of them... The Unit was my first (and might probably be my last... or who knows) survival show, and I didn't even watch it from the start. I only decided to check out halfway because I heard Jun was doing pretty well on it, but honestly I wouldn't even have shown interest in it had I not heard he was (I wouldn't be able to stand the heartbreak...). That said, I did come to like a lot of people on the show, and I'm probably fortunate that a tamer, nicer survival show like this happened to be my first. While sadly a lot of people didn't make it in the end, on the bright side they did gain exposure and surely prompted people to actually take the time to check out their music. I'm especially happy for Lim Jun Hyuk, he seemed in pretty low spirits during the course of the show but nowadays he seems more confident and happier... he's even planning a solo debut! I really wish the best for him, he has a gorgeous singing voice and undeniable talent

Female Euijin looks really good with that hair colour! I know her blonde was iconic, but I think this one looks great! Just as long as she doesn't do that weird bangs thing like in the finals... I also think the colour compliments the Male #1... King of Ice and Queen of Fire... wewwwwww As for Male Euijin, imo he stood out much more when he was blonde. Wasn't digging his black hair at all, but purple looks pretty good! I think with his personality, some sort of colour on his hair would suit him more than just plain black. (But yeah, rip scalp...)

I think it would be fun if the name suggestions were read out to the members, and then the members themselves get to choose. I imagine their reactions would be hilarious with the amount of cringing they would be doing.
