  1. i expected more, but song is okay i guess
  2. yes i think it is, i've done some research and asked the seventeen discord - it seems like a lot of seventeen members like to put this ear seed tape and things in their ears. I've never seen any other idol do this - how wild
  3. Minghao posted these pictures, it seems like there is something wrong with his ear but me and my friends can't figure it out - i thought maybe he had gotten surgery to remove the mole he had, but its still there it almost looks like a bad burn? but i dunno how its possible to just burn one ear like that
  4. produce auditions were also completely autotuned, whereas in this show most people aren't getting autotuned with the exceptions of mnets favourites like Yurina. it was so obvious she was the only one who had pitched vocals
  5. these are trainees, mostly teenagers who don't yet have much experience their vocals are stable enough but everyone knows almost everyone on that show (except for a few of the older more experienced girls) have a lot to learn this performance was also cut down by mnet, so it obviously wasn't one of the better ones, but they did perfectly well for being trainees on a survival show also the amount of views, likes and comments are because one of them is a member of cherry bullet, a group who already has a fanbase
  6. that song only blew up the way it did because it was iz*one who released it, fresh off of one of the most successful survival shows in history CLC consistently released good songs in their own right , but were never promoted in Korea enough to build a strong fan base there
  7. Fans have found out that CLC has been disbanded through member Yujin talking about the status of the group on the survival show she is currently appearing on, GirlsPlanet999. This is a very similar sitation to how fans found out about Gugudan's disbandment through Sally appearing on Produce Camp 2020.
  8. its funny how none of them have issue with HYBE's western localisations like BTS trying to move away from the k-pop label and all of the KPOP companies who are trying to make US based boy groups. none of them ever have issues with members who are american, canadian etc - they just have issues with chinese and japanese idols, its easier for them to say its about politics and go
  9. I think it's way more common that people think. Yes, its suprising that more classmates etc don't come forward but Sistar was able to lie about their ages for 7 years and other male idols (now retired) have said their ages had been altered by their company and they got away with it too. You can enlist anytime from the ages 20 to 30, so Monsta X will be able to pull of the lie as long as Shownu goes to the military first, even though he could have kept promoting until the end of this year, he didn't because this allows Wonho to enlist after him and keep up the story. Recently Han Seungwoo from Victon enlisted, his official birth year is 1994 (his birthday is the end of December too, almost 1995) Almost no idols in this age bracket have enlisted but he went "early" for undisclosed reasons despite his group and solo career being the most successful they've ever been, he just said "there were some things that were difficult to resolve, so now I’ve come to the end of the maximum time that I could push it back." it doesn't quite make sense, wouldn't be surprised if he's 2 to 3 years older than his profile lists.
  10. Yep, Shownu's enlisting was so abrupt. They knew he'd have to go first to keep up with the story - I think Wonho will go sometime this Autumn after a final comeback. Starship seriously lies about a lot of birthdays - they even changed the month and day of the Sistar members
  11. Article: 'Guilty on all charges' Seungri sentenced to 3 years... under court custody Source: Newsis via Naver 1. [+549, -5] Isn't that too short of a sentence? 2. [+176, -11] Pr*stitution, pim*ing, g*mbling, embezzling, violation of trade... didn't know all of those were such weak crimes worthy of such a tiny sentence 3. [+150, -3] Only three years... the judge should be ashamed of himself 4. [+87, -3] He has such a long list of crimes, why wasn't he put away sooner? Along with that police agent whatever too~ 5. [+60, -3] What an absolute mess. He's got an entire combo set of crimes under his name. People go their whole lives without committing even one of them and yet he's committed them all on his own. 6. [+19, -0] All those crimes and only three years? I guess crimes are worth committing these days 7. [+19, -0] Just keep him exiled from the celebrity industry forever 8. [+13, -0] Surely you mean 30 years? 9. [+12, -0] 3 years? He'll petition and then end up with probation... sigh... our pathetic country... - Article: Seungri sentenced to prison, netizens react "3 years is too short" Source: MBC via Nate 1. [+187, -1] The thug of our generation! Such a short sentence compared to the list of his crimes! 2. [+157, -1] Can we at least reveal once and for all who are the people watching out for him? 3. [+134, -1] How is this a country 4. [+26, -0] Investigate Yang Hyun Suk thoroughly too! 5. [+23, -0] Such a short sentence. They dragged it out this long only to get this far. 6. [+21, -0] 3 years is too weak, should've at least been 20 years 7. [+21, -0] 30 years! 8. [+20, -0] What is with the 3 years? It's obvious there's someone behind him pulling all the strings so at least reveal their identity too ㅡㅡ But then again, we live in a country that provides basic income to criminals like Cho Doo Soon so ㅡㅡ what a sad state of affairs 9. [+19, -0] Now he's officially a criminal. Congratulations! All that fake swag on 'I Live Alone' only to end up with a criminal record. I hope you get with a girl who 'puts out easily' once you get out of jail. 10. [+18, -0] 9 charges, 3 year sentence ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ the judge is insane - Source: Insight via Instagram 1. [+670] Only? 2. [+379] Only 3 years? ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 3. [+391] Has he even been serving in the army properly when he's been in and out of court all this time? 4. [+162] Only 3 years 5. [+184] Just barely???? 6. [+289] From drugs to pr*stitution to all sorts of illegal parties and yet only 3 years??? 7. [+104] ㅋㅋ And this is why s*x crimes continue to happen ㅋㅋㅋㅋ is the judge hoping to encourage more crimes with this sentencing? 8. [+95] Only 3 years? He could be eating jail food for 30 years and it wouldn't be enough 9. [+58] Wait so he's guilty of all 9 charges but only ended up with 3 years? 10. [+56] Only 3 years... what is this - Source: Wikitree via Instagram 1. [+235] Only 3 years? 2. [+151] 3 years ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ our nation's legal system is so good 3. [+81] ?? Ah, well this just ruined my mood 4. [+62] Am I reading this right? 5. [+56] S*x crimes are going to go on the rise after this, since it's only 3 years after all
  12. This comes from an article I saw on the instagram account fansdramaw, who translate Korean forum topics and I thought the responses on the post were really interesting Female idol whose company is forcing her to hide her real age Hiding one’s real age in the entertainment industry is nothing new. Many have to do it in order to get jobs that they would otherwise be “too old” for. However in this case the celebrity is being forced to hide their age. The female idol is currently in a girl group who has been called a “rising star” by many industry experts. The group seemed to gain popularity despite their company’s minimal efforts. When she first debuted, residents from her area were quite shocked to see that her public date of birth was wrong. However as “A” never caused any troubles and had a kind image no one wanted her to go through a hard time. Despite her company’s best efforts, the word has spread that they are the ones who forced her to change her birth date. Now the only way her true birth date will come out would be when the her contract ends. in the comments, people are discussing idols who they believe have false official birthdays: LOONA's ViVi (some people believe she was born in '93 as opposed the offical profile date of '96 due to the date on her predebut modelling career profile) Starship is notorious for changing birthdays and SISTAR's Bora and Hyorin revealed their true ages 7 years after they debuted. Wonho (evidence that he was born in '92 instead of '93 including a picture of his health report saying 1992 and Monsta X members referring to him as 'the eldest') Monsta X Minhyuk, fans believe he is a year younger than his official profile and his birth date is actually 1994, fans suspect Starship wanted Hyungwon to be in the maknae line instead. Weeekly's Jihan - her profile states she was born in 2004 and is 17 years old, but fans believe she is younger. an Everglow member - last year a sasaeng fan revealed than an Everglow member is lying about their age. a Rocket Punch member (not sure why so many are saying Rocket Punch) other responses are discussing how widespread this issue seems to be, with Kisu ex-24k recently sharing that his company changed his age to appear more 'youthful' and 'marketable' and that it had a bad effect on his mental health.
  13. mans hasn't acted in over 10 years - i dont think he's an actor anymore
  14. for idol rappers, those who rap lines already written for them in a hard hitting bridge, Mark is one of the best but people like Bobby, Zico and Suga have lyricism and can come up with raps off the top of their head, not to mention all 3 of them can compose their own music and lyrics. I think there is a difference personally, no question all of them are talented, just in different areas.
  15. I think he was referring to asexual reproduction, as in an animal who creates a genetic clone of themselves and doesn't need a partner to create offspring
  16. I went to Music Bank in Berlin in 2018. At the end, all the artists went on stage together and Woojin from Wanna One (at that time, he's now in AB6IX) put his arm around Hyunjin from Stray Kids and I remember being surprised because I didn't think Woojin was tall but he looked bigger to me than Hyunjin, he seemed taller and had a bigger frame. Anyway Woojin's official height is listed at 176cm and Hyunjin's is 179cm... there's no way honestly lmao, i saw it with my own eyes, he's around 176cm MAX. oh i found a pic from that night!
  17. even amber has went to china, her being a judge on chuang2021 brought her a new wave of popularity there - i think she's going to be releasing mandarin language songs and appearing on more chinese variety shows
  18. when im sad I like to listen to bittersweet, comforting music I love the song you posted, i haven't heard it before so i'm definitely going to add it to my sad playlist
  19. "I'm sorry for doing to you the same thing that she did to me" is probably the most correct way of saying this
  20. It's a big rumour on twitter i am not presenting this as fact but as a rumor everyone is discussing.
