I've fangirled on Japanese idols before, so I know that Akimoto Yasushi is infamous with his relationship with female idols... He likes groups with a lot of members and he would use his own ways to manage to get into contact with idols and get them on broadcast to make them popular, he doesn't care about idols who are talented, he only pushes people that are his type. He doesn't care about people who are hard working, he would push someone excessively to the point where they would receive hate comments on the internet.... The issue is that he's the only one who understands his "type".... And more problematic is the fact that he made so many groups that the quality started dropping over time.... 48 is part of the franchise, not the amount of members in a group. They’ll definitely start off smaller. The numbers I expect it to be is either 16 (for 1 Team) or 22-24 (11-12 for 2 teams).

Obviously it would be temporary like how they did with IBI & JBJ. Plus they never said Fave Girls would actually debut this year (even if it’s obvious they will) let alone early Besides I used them as an example

Even if YG doesn’t debut them, somebody will. I wouldn’t put it past Fave to snatch the top 9 Girls and debut them themselves YG would only not allow such a thing to happen if they genuinely had no plans to debut them as well

Thankfully she’ll debut so I anticipate that I do hope she does well since Momoland just started to rise

No way is YG not debuting the girls, even if they literally only get 1 debut, they’ll release something since I’m sure they had songs for both genders ready just in case YG would be dumb if he didn’t debut them as well.... oh yikes, maybe he wouldn’t after all

Reports say that the final debuting team will embark on an overseas tour beginning in April of 2018, until possibly August-December. The group's production team has currently confirmed approximately 15 cities in Asia, North America, South America, Europe, and more, with more requests flooding in. The number of cities is expected to go up to 20-30. Furthermore, it seems that the losing team between the male and the female groups may also have a chance to promote after the show ends. Reports claim that both the final 9 girls and boys teams will promote in 2018. Girls could still debut

Objectively, I see the top 9 girls being (in no particular order) 1. Ryujin 2. Lee Soomin 3. Heejin 4. Moonhee 5. Sori 6. Haeyoung 7. Hayoon 8. Hyunjoo 9. Yujin/Hyunjin/Hyokyung

Hope their 1st performance comes out soon

Kangnam could be the host. He’s fluent in Korean & Japanese, plus he’s good with variety.

I wonder this too. People seem to really have one against Mashiro specifically. She’s cute and would stand out. The tiny Japanese big unnie should debut as well. Plus it wouldn’t be a JYP group without at least 1 foreigner (Day6 is a band, Stray Kids are self produced, & we won’t even count the older groups).

Couldn’t choose between Moonhee & Hayoon. Hayoon has a strong aura while Moonhee could fit one of the rap lines (because who knows how many will end up in the lineup at this point) and visual lines. Both of them are very marketable and are stan attractors, so choosing between either is impossible for me.

F(x), 4minute, BlackPink, CLC (Hobogoblin), ect is the style I see JYP going with this group. Hanseol: Leader, Sub Vocal Somi: Face, Sub Vocal Ryujin: Main Rap, Lead Dance Chaeryeong: Lead Rap, Lead Dance Yeji: Main Dance, Sub Vocal Mako: Lead Dance, Sub Vocal Lily or Sunmin: Main Vocal Mako is iffy, but she looks like she’d fit the groups demographic, so if she fits the groups demographic enough, she could be added. ———————— The girl group after them could be a Lovelyz, Gfriend, Elris, DIA (Off The Road) type girl group that’s either slightly more or slightly less. Could be with Mashiro, Yejin, Yuna S, Sieun, Eunsoo, ect. Could debut 1-2 years after.

True that would make sense, JYP girl group concepts don’t overlap with one another, also seems to already have the “rebellious teen†thing going on with these girls. So I could see an OT7 likely being the end-game.

They should just keep the original Girls 2 Team & add remaining essential members. Somi, Lily, & Hanseol. This one may be debatable, but I feel like Jia Yu would be essential. Think about it, most people didn’t even know Tzuyu’s existence before Sixteen, let alone how big she’d be after it. Taiwan had a news report on Jia Yu mediaplaying her in a light similar to Tzuyu. So as long as she can keep up with the other girls, mind as well add her. Plus she’s Yuna S age, so she could easily be put with the others in that regard. Click here to view the Tweet

Suhyun deserves a huge congratulations. She went from not making it past the 1st challenge on Produce 101 to making it towards the end on Mix Nine I would not be against her entering the top 9
