  1. Idk why people are acting like idols going on survival shows is a foreign concept. We all knew it was going to happen. Also let’s not forget the most notable idols to go on it will be from AKB48.

People complain now, but will be thankful if Eunjin or whoever else from DIA ends up gaining attention from it. Remember how the cycle was with Nu’est?

  2. Soompi has refuted the rumors about the girls debuting:

    https://www.soompi.com/2018/02/01/mixnine-female-team-members-agencies-deny-reports-debut/

That just means the agencies weren’t notified of it. YG probably informed the press that they’d talk to the agencies first. The group is still likely to happen

  3. These girls didn’t win MixNine, so tbh they don’t have to go by the 9 member rule. They should make it a 10 member GG with Sujin being added. On top of her popularity, had it not been for the accident she’d make the top 9, so it kinda wasn’t fair that she had to leave when she consistently stayed in the top 9 throughout the show.

4 months isn’t a lot to work with, so YG can’t afford to give them the usual YG promotion plan (aka no promo). At least go on 2-3 music shows, go on variety, have CFs, ect. They also need at least 2 releases, a debut & a comeback. They also need an album, tbh 1 would suffice. They could have their debut, their comeback, & the 5 original songs from MixNine, that’s a mini right there.

  4. SM groups debut in 2 year gaps (4 for the same gender). Red Velvet debuted in 2014 while NCT debuted in 2016, and it’s 2018 now. And NingNing deleting stuff from her Weibo could be a good indication that they’re preparing for debut.

I see the girls image being Youthful & Lighthearted. I don’t think they’ll have a specific concept as I could see them bouncing from cute to innocent to sporty.

  5. I don’t think YG will remove members, but I wouldn’t put it past YG to add more instead

The top 9 while great as it is, is still lacking in some forms that others can make up for. That’s a strong performer & a strong rapper

The rap lineup (Ryujin, Moonhee, Hayoung) isn’t bad, but they aren’t amazing either. Sarada could fill in that gap considering she’s the best amongst the M9 top 18

Strong performer could go to either Sujin or Hayoon. If I had to choose between the 2 objectively, it would be Sujin since she would’ve debuted had she not left the show early. However if she is still trying to recover, then Hayoon would also be a perfect choice

  6. With MixNine boys winning, the girl group will probably debut before the original boy group (since Hyunsuk & Byeongeon made the MixNine boy group). Plus YG wouldn’t want two of their boy groups competing with each other

  7. Im thinking that the theater "idol you can meet" concept will be to used during the show and may or may not be part of the plan for the promotion of the group.Unless the premise is going to be a group that promote more on japan and korean market then theater concept will play a major role and 11 member not gonna be feasible for that. But if they are going make a global girl group then i think it is an outdated concept (for a temporary group with limited time)when music show, reality show, web drama, etc already existed.

The show is said to be to make a Korean-Japanese sister 48 group who’d have their own theatre & are said to be a permanent group (though the group itself will be permanent, member additions & graduations would gradually happen). It wouldn’t be a 48G if it was basically going to be another IOI/Wanna One group.

  8. If they're going to follow the produce 101 system,i think it will be 101 contestant(50/50,1 i-trainee?) and the debut group will only be 11 official member and the introduction of the theater system which will replace the guerrilla concert during produce 101 s1...If the pd dont have a clear goal or a vision of the future it will just be another survival show with weak premise and might folllow the same old path lost in the history of entertainment industry :)...forgive me for the rant, watching 3 survival show that gives false hope without a clear vision to the trainee/contestant and just doing a bandwagon breaks my heart,For i want kpop/jpop gains global recognition and respect that will open up more opportunities to underappreciated group outside of the local scene for i think no lone company can do it unless it is gonna be a united/unified front for a breakout .Find the best visual, the best vocal, the best dancer, the best rapper, the best leader, best producer, best song, etc. When all is ready test them thru mission and voting. When everything is textbook perfect but still unsure of the success, find the 11th member/the wildcard that will seal the unforeseen things that might happen to the group then introduce them to the world

11 would be way too small for a 48G group even for a debut era. Especially since they’d have to perform at a daily theatre and that could get very tiring.
