  1. What do you guys think about Riot adding voice chat soon?

The button to access voice chat has been added to PBE but isn't working yet and I think it's only for premade teams.

I feel like most people use discord anyways for voice calls but I can't wait to try it out when it does become live.

I don't really think it's a good idea, at least for my server. I somehow feel like there are more toxic people than in other servers - it's really easy to meet a Polish kid who's ready to flame for taking "his" kill so I'd probably leave the voice chat muted. Besides, I'm a rather shy person and I talk only with my friends/boyfriend while playing (+ we do this on Discord/Teamspeak).

By the way, I managed to climb to S3 with my duo partner (who actually made it to S1 at the time we didn't play together, though he's stuck between 0 and 20 LP for now). Unfortunately, I lost S2 promos - and now I know I'm never going support during promo again. I'm currently at 67 LP so if everything goes smoothly, I should get S2 after three won matches in a row. I have a goal to beat certain someone as fast as possible (and this person is S2 with 20-something LP for now). Also, I grew to love Miss Fortune with her damage, even though I'm sure she's going to be nerfed soon (either her or lethality items, yes, I know I'm a terrible person).

Oh, and also for the event - I decided to make the golden chroma for Caitlyn. Although, as I mentioned before, I did it mostly for her cute icon. The chroma itself is pretty too.

  2. I've just received my new schedule and it's terrible. Three days a week, I'm ending up classes at 8 PM - considering the fact that I have a long way to go, I'll be back at home around 9 PM and it just disgusts me. And makes me want to run away from this uni even more.

  3. I'm probably late but still...

     > Anohana (I saw this name above many times but yeap, the story is actually really moving + the way how characters' relationship looks like at the beginning is quite realistic... sadly)

     > Clannad (but mostly the second season - the first one may be too cute/annoying at the beginning [since back then, the main character has some sort of a "harem" and there isn't the main girl] but the second is really touching, it even made me cry)

     > Nana (one of my favourite animes of all time; it's not a school life since the main characters are in their 20s but it's still worth noticing + the soundtrack is great)

     > Your Lie In April (back to the school topic but with great music as well, especially if you like classical sounds)

  4.  > "Re:Zero" (I love the setting + the story itself is quite original + the lineart is cute)

     > "Shingeki no Kyojin" (it's a great manga story mixed with even better graphics which can actually portray the series' full potential)

     > "Death Note" (to me it's a classic you need to watch; it holds the pressure up until the end, even though the second half is not as good as the first + the ending wasn't satisfying to me at first)

     > "Nana" (even though I don't like "girly" series, this one deserves its spot on my favourites list; the story is complicated, there's a lot of stuff going on between the characters and basically, the only stable relationship is probably the friendship of two Nanas; anyways, I recommend it from my whole heart)

  5. Around a week ago, I finished my placements and I managed to get S4! rlytearpls.png I'm in shock since these matches weren't really good. But I'm glad I'm not starting from the worst possible rank. My goal is to reach gold this season, I don't really expect more (I started playing merely two years ago) - though I'm not sure how much time I'm going to have for playing.

And I'm in love with the Lunar event, even though it burned EUNE down at the beginning (my friend who stayed logged in for the whole time said that the issues list was longer than the client itself). I still don't know what should I make out from these tokens though. I'm torn between Lunar skin shard (but knowing my luck, I'll get a skin I already own/for a champion I don't play) and golden chroma for Caitlyn with icon (though I'd probably do that just for an icon, the original colours are better in my opinion). Also, I don't really like Lux's new skin. It looks like a cheaper version of Elementalist + her skills are too flashy from what I've seen.

  6.  > "Mirai Nikki" openings and endings + that sad melody which was played during some parts.

     > "Fairy Tail" OST #nostalgia.

     > "Shingeki no Kyojin" OST

     > "Tokyo Ghoul" opening (but only the first one).

     > "Re:Zero" first ending.

     > "Youjo Senki" opening.

     > "Overlord" opening.

  7. Okay, I'm looking for some kind of recommendation help. I have some anime series I'd like to watch after my exam session ends (a.k.a two weeks of freedom) and I don't know from which should I start (or avoid it if the plot is not as good as I guess it is).

     > "Overlord". I found it via awesome opening theme and the plot seems interesting. Kind of something like SAO but in a different way (e.g. main character is a skeleton, not a handsome shonen boy).

     > "Youjo Senki". As above, I found the opening first and I'm in love with it. Although the plot is kinda weird but... people say it has some kind of "charm". So I don't know.

     > "Hai to Gensou no Grimgar". My boyfriend re commended this anime to me many times. I watched the first episode few months ago but didn't really get impressed... but maybe it's getting batter later on?

     > "Your Name". A lot of people are talking about this anime lately (or more like film) so I put it on my list as well.

     > "Code Geass". I started of with parodies but I actually think it can be a really good anime.

Also, I don't know if I should start over with "Sousei no Onmyouji" (I stopped few months ago on episode 30-something and don't really remember details) and continue "Kuzu no Honkai" (I stopped after 7th episode and I'm interested how the plot is going to end but relationships there make me cringey). amgplz.png

EDIT: Okay so I finally decided to watch "Code Geass" first. It has two seasons with 20 something episodes each so I guess it's going to take me some time. The next will be "Overlord" (maybe only 1st season for now, depends on how much time I'm going to have) and then "Youjo Senki". "Hai to Gensou no Grimgar" will be the last because I'm the least interested in it story wise. About "Your Name", I bought light novel and I'm going to read it in the meantime. I still don't know what to do with SnO and KnH though...

  8. Okay so I played four placement matches already. I didn't really want to play rankeds yet since EUNE is currently full of people who want to get their rank ASAP + my laptop is not as good as the previous one so it's less comfortable to play. My boyfriend encouraged me to play with him - like, "it will be fun", etc. I agreed and that's how we lost three matches. :') I was less salty and more sad since after having S2 last season I'm scared that I'll have to deal with "getting out of bronze" again (so I hoped for at least S5). I know, I sound a bit like a kid. rlytearpls.png

Though I played one ranked today with my friend and I finally won! I think I'll stick to playing support for the time of placements, it's more safe this way (previously I played adc and had bad experiences).

And how are your placements going, guys? I hope they're better than mine T.T

  9. I've been really down lately and even little things make me angry/feel like crying.

So now I'm in bad mood because my bf asked me if I want to play LoL with his friend only to be "nice" - they wanted to play duo ranked all this time but he thought I'd get angry (since he promised to play with me ealier this day).

Also, screw my pronouciation teacher, I'm not able to stand up to her expectations + she's the one who made me so depressed.

  10. I'm not really a manga person but if I had to pick - "Ibara no Ou". The story itself has a great horror potential and it was recommended to me by a friend from SnK fandom who loves original/dark themes (or used to, the last time we talked was 2014 tbh) - which doesn't change the fact that it got kinda messed up near the end. Messed up to the point I don't even know what the ending was.

  11. I'm sorry if the similar topic was there before. ;-;

So, has any of you tried translating anime (from Japanese to English, English to your native language, etc.)?

    If so, for how long?

Do you still do it or want to do something similar in future?

    ~ * ~

I personally started translating anime from English to Polish three years ago. I used to be a forum person and shortly before I stopped with this "hobby", one girl (I had a good contact with her back then) asked me if I wanted to join a translation group she was in. After some thinking I agreed (since it would be a cool experience), made an application and got accepted. Though unfortunately, I didn't do much in that group - I wanted to translate "Arslan Senki" (quite a hard title for the beginning but I did decent for a beginner) but managed to do only three first episodes because English group didn't release any more + people I was working were way too lazy.

After some time, me and two other people from this group left and made our own in which I was for way longer. In this time I translated "Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen", "Mayoiga", "Alderamin on the Sky" and one anime with quite a long name I don't really remember anymore... I left in summer 2016 due to personal reasons but I'd like to comeback to it one day.

And actually, this experience made me want to be a professional translator in future but uni is already cutting off my wings, lol.

  12. My goal is to reach Gold this season. Currently, I'm on S2 - but I still feel like I improved a lot since I started playing in Season 6.

But I'm not going to play rankeds any time soon. My current laptop is not the best (connects slowly + low FPS) because the regular one is being repaired for now - so I don't want to make my teammates to get angry and stick only to ARURF or training (since I had a three weeks break as well).

  13. I haven't read this collection of short stories yet but I do recommend the whole Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski! It's a great high fantasy series that also takes inspiration from Slavic and generally European mythologies. It's got lots of fantastical creatures, politics and interesting complex characters.

Hej, ja też jestem z Polski! smile.png Jeśli dobrze kojarzę, przeczytałaś Szpony i kły?

I fakt, miło byłoby, gdyby wydał coś spod swojego pióra. Opowiadania są niezłe, ale jednak czuć po stylu, że to nie to samo. :P

  14. Okay so I've recently read "Turtles All The Way Down" by John Green and...

I actually liked it. John Green's language is really easy and quick to read (at least in Polish translation). Though I must admit, Aza's story is a bit... off, when compared to the others. Like, that unbelievable thing about the Pickett family which is hella rich, owns one of the rarest creatures in the world and also a huge house with the swimming pool/cinema/basicallyeverythingwhatdemandsyoutoleaveyoursafearea? It was so cringey to me, I don't know why. Although Davis could be a good material for Green's typical main character - not so outgoing, inteligent, with deep personality. But I'm glad we finally get girl's perspective, the last one was Hazel in "The Fault In Our Stars".

What got into me is Aza's disorder - it was interesting to read about her struggles, especially knowing that the author used to have the same issues. I felt so sorry for her. Oh, and I can't bring myself to like Daisy after the whole "fanfiction friend" thing. I know living with a mentaly ill person is not the easiest but seriously, did she really think that leaving frustration in fanfiction will solve everything? Like, in a story which can be read by basically everyone, including Aza? And which had hateful comments about Aza's personality/behaviour? Which started getting more and more viral ffs? I may be overreacting but this part was just so wrong to me.

Overall, the book is okay. As a fan of Green's work, I'm glad I have it but I still have a feeling that some of his previous books were better.

I also started reading "The Witcher" one-shots by Sapkowski. I know they're not translated to English (yet) but I still want to share my opinion.

So the book consists of eleven short stories (around 30-40 pages long each) written by people who won a writing contests held for 30th birthday of "The Witcher" universe. I've already finished the second one. The first story is really good - it's about Geralt's and Dandelion's adventure with an old castle which suddenly becomes the source of fire power. The language is quite similar to Sapkowski's, although dialogues were sometimes a bit off (like Geralt saying "Hi, Dandelion"; I don't know, it just sounds weird in Polish fantasy novel). The plot is good and has a nice morality play, with a bit of dark humour.

The second story is fine but a bit worse in the sense of some sub-plots. The dialogues are better and it's easier to read but I can't really tell why (maybe I was just less tired?). What I disliked is Geralt's and Koral's romance. I mean, I know they used to be together at some point of the past but Geralt here is more like the one from games in that matter (like he can't wait to get into her bed). Also, I feel like the author tried to make Koral be more like Yennefer. She even gave her black hair and if I remember correctly, Koral was a redhead.

  15.  > "League of Legends" - I started playing it around a year ago and I love it, although I can't play currently since my laptop is broken and I won't probably get it until the end of Christmas break. rlytearpls.png

     > "Tomb Raider" - My childhood memories. I especially love "The Last Revelation", "Angel of Darkness" and "Legend" (though this one is more sentimental since it's the first TR game I finished without help). I'm not really fond of the current reboot, it's not the same game anymore.

     > "The Witcher" - I love the whole universe, including both games and books. I finished the third game twice and I'd like to start playing Gwent soon (although I heard this version is different than in TW3).

     > RPG Maker horror games. Especially "Fantasy Maiden's Odd Hideout", "Re:member" and "The Witch's House". Oh, and "Pocket Mirror". If I'm lucky enough, I'd like to purchase "To The Moon" since it's on Christmas sale (8 PLN, which is around 2$).
