Ahhhh I see. The procedure seems incredibly painful though D: like... Injecting stuff into your forehead.... *shudders*
I honestly don't know, I mean, celebrities who have it done well at a reputable surgeon seem to be okay...but I have seen one or two people in my city with really bad forehead implants, to the point where it looks like they have a plate in there. I feel bad that they probably didn't get what they had in mind when they went in for the procedure.
If anyone else knows, is there a way to fix it? More procedures? Can you get rid of it for good of you change your mind? Because I remember reading an earlier page where someone said you just have to keep replacing it, since the skin is stretched...

I will never understand the point of forehead implants. It looks painful af and it's not even noticeable to the average fan who isn't acquainted with plastic surgery.
For someone with a flat or sloping forehead, it can make them look much younger and more balanced. I think someone noticed this, started saying "the rounder your forehead the younger you'll look!", and people with perfectly normal foreheads started doing it too. Except if you add more onto a normal forehead, or go too far, it can start to look a little creepy and stretched...

Sometimes the implant is silicone and sometimes (though much less often) it's surgical cement. When it hardens it should feel something akin to bone. Though again, a popular method is fat-grafting to forehead, normally you can tell forehead fa-grafting because the forehead is ridiculously shiny following the procedure and mot people get lots of little bumps as the skin adjusts to the insertion of fat in the area. Most silicone and cement implants are place behind the hairline so it's hard to see them unless you get up-close and personal with an idol's scalp. However, silicone implants seem to "push out" and become more visible through the skin over time like most silicone implants do. It' doesn't cover the whole forehead either, so often times you can see the area where the implant is depending on how old the implant is and how the person moves their face.
When you say 'push out', do you mean it sort of becomes more visible through the skin? That's terrifying.

So is having a mole on your nose a thing now? Because in the before and after it looks like she's drawn it in darker.
Sorry I couldn't embed the pictures. >< on my iPad.
Edit: ah, dang it. Can't link the before picture for some reason. It's the most recent entry on the kpsurgery Tumblr. OTL

Although CL's screaming makes me worry for her voice...I am suitably slayed.

Would have liked more of the other three though.

-
Haha, I'm glad you're happy.

The girls look so cute.

First step in singing, love your voice.
Thanks for the advice. It sounded a little obvious at first, but when I thought about it I realised I'm actually pretty negative most of the time.. I'll give it a go.

FTFY
Haha, I don't think I've reached that point in my personal development yet, but maybe one day.

At this point even my speaking voice makes me cringe when played back.

I can't sing at a loud volume. The only time I sound good singing is when I sing softly.
This is my biggest problem! It's like, when I have to sing with other people in public, I get to choose between sounding awful, or not being heard at all.

I agree with all of what you said actually. But the thing is, is there a difference between these two situation; from an age that you're aware of some part of your face is bothering you and want's to change it or getting it because of letting the others pressure you into getting it? Because some people can't take pressure from others and eventually give in.
That's a good point you make there. How do you differentiate between what is an 'influence', and what is undue pressure from an external party/force? How can I know whether I want to change something for myself? Or because society/other people made me feel inadequate? Aren't my opinions and feelings a product of my surroundings and environment?
In my opinion, where someone thinks they want to get ps for themself, it is practically impossible to trace the exact root of that desire. Was there a forgotten moment when they were 6, where their great aunt Hilda pointed out the bump on their nose, ultimately leading to a life long complex? I think the only way you can really judge whether something is 'positive or negative' (for want of better words) is by considering your mental state at the time of making the decision. If you felt good about making a change or improving, then you can say it was done for yourself. If you were hesitant, but felt there was no other way out/just wanted the comments to stop, then that is succumbing to unfair pressure.
Hope I didn't bore you with all that.
You have some interesting opinions. Not sure why you got negged, since I didn't see anything rude in your posts on this page. I shall plus a few of them up~ -
Actually I'm fine with these idols getting plastic surgery. As long as their after looks are awesome and nothing bad (Like Park Bom's one too many plastic surgery. She looks the best around her predebut with Lee Hyori and her solo You and I. I'm a fan of Park Bom.)
The things that irks me is that they use too many excuses when they say that they got plastic surgery or doesn't say that they got plastic surgery when people can see that there are major changes on their faces or body parts. Denying it the most is what really gets me. (This really gets to me because I learned Anatomy and Physiology.)
Oh, please don't misunderstand me. I think everyone has a right to do what they want with their appearance. If they're doing it because they think something is beautiful and want to emulate it, go ahead. If it works out, even better.

However, I think it crosses over into unhealthy when you're only doing it to make other people happy, or to make them leave you alone. Of course, that's speaking broadly, because there are lots of in between cases as well.
And yes, so many excuses. Firstly, they shouldn't have to. But secondly, it's a little silly to deny it when there's an obvious, huge change.
Even sillier when fans say 'x is natural because they said so'. -
most idols look ok I think and I don't think they need all that PS
Yeah, I guess it's hard when people are examining you with a microscope to find tiny faults. Makes you feel like you have to 'fix' things that weren't problems to begin with.
Nice predebut pics btw. They look so young.
lol at Lay's expression.
And D.O my bias looking fab as always.

it's obvious he had a nose job and eyelid surgery
I wouldn't be at all surprised. Waste of money imo, since he looked fine in all of his younger photos.

Not sure if this has been posted, but has anyone seen this?

"EXO member Sehun obvious alar plasty (nose trimming) scars.
submitted by someone who has undergone alar plasty as well *wink*
(admin you can elaborate on this issue if you want)
I have nothing to elaborate but that scar seems recent…."

I'm no expert, so I wanted to see what you guys think.
His nose does look a little different, but I'm not sure if it's the angle...?-

Haven't seen the source material, so I don't know about the accuracy of translations. Just in general though, netizens can be too dismissive (especially when it comes to talking about mental health) without knowing the actual situation.

And totally off topic but this made me happy.

6. [+1,917, -55] All he had to do was wait and his turn would've come but his impatience led to his leave... Look at SNSD. They're six years in now and Hyoyeon's finally getting the spotlight with 'Dancing with the Stars', 'Invincile Youth', 'Dancing 9', CFs, pictorials... She's the jjang in Soshi these days. And also look at ZE:A... They waited so many years and now Park Hyung Shik's on the rise. Hankyung lacked patience.

[GirlsChannel: JPN] Mizuhara Kiko turns into Marilyn Monroe; bewitching with her sex appeal

She doesn't look at all like Marilyn Monroe, but she's still very cute (the flat hair in the kimono pic is terrible).
I had no idea she was disliked. O.O to be fair, I know the comments don't represent everyone's opinions...does anyone know what the general consensus is on her in Japan? Just curious.
