Does anyone know what’s the deal with the fan cafe and the protests? Is it really as bad as people are saying...

So a little drama has arisen on UNB and ACE Twitter and I am wondering what anyone thinks? There have been a good amount of tweets I've seen wishing for UNB's disbandment because they want to see specifically Chan back in ACE... Personally, I think it's a little selfish....

I know it’s just your opinion but the level of negativity in this post is astounding. Not sure what you consider to be memorable choreography but UNB’s choreo is 100% skilled and memorable and non-UNB stans have even noticed that. Also not sure where the autotune is in Only One. I hate that people don’t understand what actual autotune sounds like, like legit that is just their vocal tone and Reverb (literally the smallest voice echo) which is NOT AUTO TUNE. And the tattoos were never meant to look real and you can’t predict how people are going to feel about it. Lastly, the only thing I can agree on is the way the MVs were uploaded - slightly messy. That being said to ignore everything else that is being done: Appearances on: K-RUSH Immortal Song Gag Concert Happiness Train Entertainment Weekly Yu Yuel’s Sketchbook Hello Counselor An incoming reality show Dream Concert 2018 3 Busking events (packed btw) Countless VLIVES + special videos Burger Kings Ads And more to come... Like not really sure what KBS can do other than continuing what they are doing. What bothers is me is not the criticism but like if the fans dont support UNB who will - and negativity is no help. KBS will make mistakes, all we can hope for is they learn from them.

This is just my opinion. But I don’t think UNB should be pigeon-holed into songs with 50% rap. The members have stated that they want to been seen as a group that can do anything where the rappers can sing and vice versa, so they are willing to put in that extra work. maybe not something exactly like IPU necessarily but then again “Pull Me†and IPU are not very far off from each other. If they were to do something more rap centered, I think something like IKON’s “Love Scenario†would be quite easy to do. In the end, there is a reason composers and producers exist, so far we haven’t seen a song that is currently tailored to UNB’s vocals to really show what they can do. The closest thing to that in my opinion has been the “Breathe†stage, and that certainly wasn’t a weak stage imo. That being said I am not really wanting UNB to strain themselves to try and do a MAMAMOO or TVXQ level song either. I just want them to have options and for people to believe that they can pull it off. Being a power vocalist doesn’t always mean you are the best singer.

So I just took a listen to WannaOne’s new song I.P.U, and I feel like UNB would do really well with a similar concept and song. Bright, performance base but with good vocal points, and a upbeat dance track aka beagle song central.

Question for y'all, what kind of variety show would you want to see UNB do? 1. Daily dorm life 2. Mission-based show 3. Cookin Show (like NCT Korean Cooking King, U-KISS' Chef's Kiss) 4. Travel/Vacation based (Like BTS Bon Voyage)

Personally, I believe Jun has close to main vocal poitential if the producers for U.N.B invest in training him as such a little more. People have to realize that in U-KISS, he was actually transitioning to becoming a Lead/Main Vocal anyway because Soohyun (the power vocal) was joining the army. Jun just clearly needs to know how to not strain his voice too much to hit such high notes. This being said, I’m still really impressed with him, and to me he is definitely not just merely a sub-vocal or bound to being a rapper. He has always been delving between singing and rappping in U-KISS. I hope KBS takes sometime to finesse the boys, it’s all they really need to be great - a little tweaking.

Lol sorry but that might be a matter of personal opinion - as I thought the Unit groups clearly stood out as something more. Yes Unit-B needs to improve but once again IT IS VERY UNFAIR to put them up against the other groups performing that day with months of comeback preparation and members being used to each other. Just not really here to give into unwarranted negativity, as in reality the Unit groups are doing well for themselves.

Lol U.N.B gets no breaks on this thread. I think they did just fine, all things considered. It's is insane already that Jun and Chan were able to successfully sing Jeup, Rockhyun and Lee Geon parts, can't imagine how stressed they might have been. Hojung stepped his vocals a bit, which is nice to see. Also Feeldog surprised me with his vocal parts. I enjoyed their performances! As for UNITY, they are honestly perfect. WHAT MORE IS THERE TO SAY. Euijin and ZN vocals in You&I slayed me.

Agreed the points about plagiarism and low ratings is sensationalizing, and overblown for sure. The Unit started pretty strongly and ended pretty strongly, yeah there were fans that tapered off in the middle but its not that huge. And sorry but the Unit barely had any scandals worth worrying about.

Like I said, I am not gonna compare Unit-B and BTS, member for member. It was just an example of group that doesn't rely on power vocals. Hold up. Y'all took it to a whole other level I wasn't trying to. I have no investment in picking on Chan as I think he is a great addition to Unit-B. All I was saying is that out of all the contestants in my eyes, he defied voting trends (even moreso than Marco). I never stated Chan had GENERAL POPULARITY, I said he was GENERALLY LIKABLE aka is personality and performance. And I would be hard pressed to say ACE isn't a rising boygroup right now, that doesn't give them the credit they deserve. Chan and ZN were both examples of steady climbers who won over the audience, and defied voting odds. That's really all I am getting at. Don't really know how Jeup came into the picture, I never really said that Chan took his place or anything of the sort. Only that Jeup suffered from the return of "audition episode viewers." Love Jeup, but I don't see the use in pitting him against Chan. I was literally praying the last member was Jeup or Chan so I got what I wanted lol.

Watching this, they are starting to give me ASTRO vibes. I wonder if they are going to capitalize on their beagle charm or their reversal charms like JBJ.

No yeah I meant “main vocal line†as in the core vocals of each song, I feel like the three of them will dictate a lot what of the vocals will end up sounding like, which I am actually really excited for because I think the rawness of Kijoong’s voice which is quite unique, Chan’s sweeter vocals (ex. Jungkook BTS, Suho EXO etc) and Jun’s versatile voice where he can switch from ballad mode to pop song in an instance will be very dynamic. - thinking about all the interesting harmonization has me PUMPED actually.

I honestly think the reason for the reversal in rankings was that fact that so many Audition episode watchers returned for the Finale and voted for who they remembered in those episodes - that the contestants like Seyong and Jeup who kind of "won us over" suffered. It would explain why Marco shot up so crazily, as he was a buzzworthy contestant. The only exception is Chan who I think just benefited from the rise of ACE as a group, and his general appeal.

Yeah it really depends on how they manage U-KISS but as of now NHemg is pretty bad at it. They barely updated on Jun on any official social media even though he consistently ranked No.1 over and over again and his All Day Fancam rentered the Naver Top100 multiple times and sits at 300k+ views rn. - the boy has star potential ready to unleash. I know NHemg is planning on debuting a new boygroup soon (they had the contestants on MixNine, Lee Habit being the one who survived the longest), he could be transferred to that group but then again Jun's loyalty to U-KISS is really intense lol. I just want this boy to see success with whatever group he is with. Who knows at this point U-KISS could become a rotational group.

I agree, and I don’t want to be that person but a group like BTS for instance doesn’t really have main vocal material on the level of Jeup or ROCKHYUN and they do just fine. Like they have more unique vocalists rather than power vocalists (ex. Jimin, and Jungkook) but I am not gonna compare cause that will start too much. Although I am curious to see what Hojung’s vocal limits are since he is a Lead Vocal in HOTSHOT. Maybe he will surprise us.

JUN STAN HERE! But yeah I noticed Jun stans aren’t very vocal here , but I love that boy, he is gonna add so much to the final line up. Although Unit-B really isn’t my ideal (I really just needed Geon or Jeup), I think they will grown on me real fast because they are all sweet beagle boys.

HERE TO STAN THE BOIS AND SUPPORT OUR UNDERRATED/UNDERDOG VOCAL LINE: Kijoong, Chan, Jun and Hojung. and Feeldog and Euijin we’re always faves

Something I didn’t even realize is we might see a boost in Chan’s votes because I’m pretty sure before some people were trying to keep Jun in Top 18. So who knows what could happen.

I think this is a pretty realistic and reasonable prediction. I would really want to see Woohee abd Yang Jiwon before GD Jiwon. Although I love ZN, and I want Laboum to get their shine, I would prefer to have BOTH Lee Suji and Euna Kim over her. Hyunjoo at this point is so polarizing, I am not sure what to make of her tbh. As for UNITB And I still hope for something miraculous to happen to Geon, but tbh the fact that Daewon is still in it, it becomes more and more unlikely. Same goes for Hangyul (but then again I feel like Kijoong and Hangyul fans don’t overlap as much). Chan has REALLY grown on me, I feel like he could really complete whatever lineup there is, I am rooting for his rise. In regards to Donghyun I am neutral about him, his fandom power is great but I am not sure if he is crucial to TOP9. Also Like many have said, Pls can we just get one Hotshot boy. I like Hojung. Jun, Euijin and Feeldog seem to be very unanimous picks across the board, I don’t think I’ve seen predictions without them.
