i finally have a good plan for my life and know exactly what i want to do and how to go about it. this is the first time i've ever been this certain about my plans and i feel like i'll have a great future if i pull them off. the issue? coronavirus circumstances could absolutely fuck that up for me and the worrying kills me inside. i won't go into details as to why it might jeopardize my future because it would take ages to explain but let's just say it might force me to turn down INCREDIBLE opportunities that would help me a LOOOOOT once i finish university and delve into the professional world. the timing of this pandemic is just so awful for me (and, of course, many other people). i mean, there really is no right timing for this sort of thing but the selfish part of me wishes it had happened like 5 years from now since i'll likely be somewhat stable in life by then. i just need this pandemic to be over, at most, within a year, but it obviously won't be. i hope we are at least able to adapt to it and cope with it better than we have been lately. in conclusion: universe please don't fuck me over right now, i'm so close to achieving my dreams. ok i needed to get that selfish little rant out. i'll try not to agonize over this since there's really not much i can do about it besides respecting the safety restrictions established by the government and supporting essential workers. it is what it is but, damn, it sucks. covid just DIE already, you bitch

personally, i'd want them to do what's best for them and their mental health. disband if they want to, stay together if they want to. i have many other interests and things to occupy my time, i don't need content 24/7 (although i certainly appreciate it when it does comes out). as for "giving up" on them, i don't get why you either have to be a loyal fan or someone who ditches and ignores them, you can just be in-between. i don't need to be obsessing over my faves every day just like they don't need to be pumping out content every day. i'll just check out whatever they release and, if they don't release anything, i won't worry too much about it either. life goes on

omg it's great to see someone talk about paralives here! i've been supporting paralives on patreon for a while now and i'm very content with how they've been developing the game. they seem to be headed in the right direction so far. i have to confess, i'm also not a huge fan of how the characters look but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. gameplay definitely matters most and the characters are surely still subject to change throughout the development process. i mean, TS4 looks very nice but tons of us just get bored of it within 5 minutes of playing so what's the point? besides, they've already confirmed that players will be able to introduce mods/custom content into the game through the steam workshop (which is very easy to use) so i'm sure we'll all be able to make the game look exactly how we want it. this video is very reassuring because it shows how much attention to detail is going into this game. i'm glad they're finally showing us some gameplay elements and that they're introducing pretty unique features in comparison to the same old stuff we've gotten from the sims. this is a good team and i have a lot of faith in them, indie developers are so damn healthy for this industry. they listen to their community and plan on continuously improving the game through free updates. that's gonna be incredibly refreshing in comparison to EA's shitty decisions which are motivated by greed alone. paralives already has a lot of support, if alex and the staff he's hired play their cards right, this game could be huge. sorry for the essay but i love this genre and i've been waiting for some decent competition to pop up and challenge EA for ages. my enthusiasm is through the roof

honestly.. their fans should've seen this coming. it was quite clear from the start that this is what they signed up for. it's what SM wants, it's their next step towards no longer having to worry about group members leaving. they wanna make NCT about the brand and not about the members. only a portion of fans are complaining for now but, with enough time and competition, things might just get messier and messier within the fandom anyway, i'll just continue not to get into SM groups because i want none of this drama tbh
