  1. 3M views over a 24-hour period seems low. I thought the viewing rate since its release was more like 5M per 24 hours.
  2. I think the girls are on the edge of being overworked, but that's a good problem to have, especially (as you mention) if you look at all the other groups who haven't had comebacks in a while. I wouldn't be surprised if RV takes a breather in mid-2018, though, so SM can roll out the new GG. And speaking of the new SM GG, here's an old video where our Seulgi is in a duet with Koeun, who's one of the rookies. That new group has a good vocal line.
  3. I agree. It's soft enough that you can play it over and over again. I'm amazed at the number of people on this thread who are doing that. I mean, I think Dumb Dumb is a brilliant song (MV included), but I can't see myself putting that on repeat for 24 hours.
  4. Yup, been doing that. Thanks to Bad Boy, I've learned how to use Spotify's "just this one song on repeat" feature.
  5. I know what you mean. When I hear the ad libs and runs in Bad Boy and Kingdom Come it feels like "the girls were born to do this". Nothing forced, nothing calculated, nothing showy --- the girls just sang straight.
  6. Oh, so that's what it's called! Thank you. I did not know that. And to complete my edification, I had to dig up the source: My favorite comment was "Lol dhis use to be the shit".
  7. Funny thing is, now that you know what it sounds like, it'll be in your face every time you hear the song.
  8. There's sound at 1:10 like a picture being taken --- I can't pick up the car beep.
  9. All you members of the Good Headphones Club need to confirm what I'm hearing: 0:50 - cat call 0:52 to 0:57 - steps 2:06 - cat call 2:08 to 2:14 - steps 2:58 - cat call 3:20 to 3:05 - faint steps 3:19 to 3:20 - siren
  10. Yup, the cat calls happen a couple of times and they're very quick (i.e., short duration).
  11. After listening exclusively to Bad Boy for the past 24 hours, I wanted to run some ideas by you all. I don't think there are any distinctively kpop aspects to Bad Boy. The song is a straight, old-fashioned, classic R&B number. It doesn't have any bright kpop hooks, but the chorus is that slow burn that sets up shop in your head and stays there for months. If Bad Boy had been released with English lyrics, I think it would've had a shot at mainstream radio airplay and R&B charts in the Western Hemisphere. Because "Ooh ooh! Oh-we-oh-we-oh ...".
  12. 7M views and 700k unique listeners means each listener had 10 views. OK, who's slacking off? More! Watch some more!
  13. Some sections of Red Flavor and All Night are pretty much identical. The people who composed Red Flavor are a subset of the team that composed All Night.
  14. The chorus in Bad Boy reminds me of the one in Whitney Houston's Exhale: "Shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop, ..."
  15. I hope they get to perform Bad Boy on Sketchbook. I think the choreography is designed for live vocals, much like the OOTN performances. I also like how Irene and Yeri have more significant vocal parts (relative to their earlier songs) but the rest of the members still get their own moments in the song. Question for all of you who use good headphones: On both the youtube video and on Spotify, I'm hearing the midrange on Bad Boy attenuate a bit around 1:05 -- 1:06. Is anyone else hearing the same thing?
  16. No teaser today. The only breaking news is that snsdtwinkle's Mom is a Reveluv. (Not a teaser but just as exciting.)
  17. Here are the RV version and the original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUwodTdTVGY
  18. Yes, I agree, they do sound like they're snippets from the same song.
  19. See, with proper styling, 2018 Wendy is just as stunning as SM Rookie (pre-RV) Wendy:
  20. My goodness, I didn't notice that. I was too mesmerized by the forehead.
