  1. They don't need that 3D filming for Wendy's expressions. Just collect all the gifs posted on OH and you're all set.
  2. Herin went to Idol School and then got eliminated. Her individual thread is https://onehallyu.com/topic/313279-%E2%9D%87-idol-school-herin-official-thread-%E2%9D%87/
  3. Jazzy, eh? Start with the Japanese jazz-flavored If they want a more pop-oriented sound try Sunny Afternoon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtAJpuBDJO0 If, on the other hand, they want to go down the R&B branch, try About Love followed by Kingdom Come.
  4. True. Anything you say can and will be used against you.
  5. I like it. Change it to something ugly then ask for more won.
  6. Oooh. RV's butt-shaking line will be happy to do that.
  7. Ooof. PERC%NT is a goner. Off the deep end for Wendy.
  8. This. Life is too short to have crappy concert seats.
  9. I agree. Question is, what will they do next? If they move on to something like ICC-era styling I will be soooo disappointed.
  10. One of the better written articles in the US about Kpop and the Winter Olympics. Of course Red Velvet is mentioned: http://michiganjournal.org/2018/02/09/2018-winter-olympics-in-south-korea-a-guide-to-all-things-k-pop/
  11. Before the Bad Boy MV came out I'd never watched a reaction video. Now, however, I've seen a few (ok, several) videos reacting to Bad Boy. I find the most entertaining and energetic reaction videos to be the ones coming from people whose bias is Joy. (FWIW, my bias is Wendy.) Joy fans are easily the most vocal of the lot and will scream at anything related to fashion. Near the end of the MV, when Joy walks with her jacket over her shoulder, they inevitably go into spasms. I suppose it's an iconic scene for Joy fans, who are all amazing, really.
  12. Wow. A more velvet version of Peek-A-Boo. Great vocalist, too.
  13. Same here. Bad Boy's been on repeat since Jan. 29. Thing is, I think the song and its arrangement are actually pretty straightforward and accessible. I can think of other songs (Kingdom Come, jazz pieces such as vocalese versions of Airegin) that are more complex. But there are so many catchy aspects to Bad Boy.
  14. Yeonjung of WJSN also graduated from Hanlim. There's another set of pictures at the WJSN thread: http://onehallyu.com/topic/156888-%EF%BD%A5%EF%BE%9F-%E2%99%A1-%CB%97%CB%8F%CB%8Bofficial-wjsn-%EC%9A%B0%EC%A3%BC%EC%86%8C%EB%85%80-thread%CB%8E%CB%8A%CB%97-%E2%99%A1-dream-your-dream-%EF%BD%A5%EF%BE%9F%E0%BC%84-4thminialbum/page-5249?do=findComment&comment=25975475
  15. Welcome! Have you heard some of their other songs that are low on high-pitched voices and aegyo? I'm thinking of "Kingdom Come" and "One Of These Nights".
  16. Wow. Live with no backing vocals track. They sounded good after they settled in (starting at 2:00). And at 3:55 Wendy was warmed up enough to go on the runs and the high note.
  17. I'm guessing it was a combination of her not being warmed up and not having her earpiece (making it harder to figure out if one has the correct pitch).
  18. I agree. Music Bank had the clearest live vocals, followed by Music Core.
  19. One of the few show videos where you can actually hear the live harmonies.
  20. Ooh! Ooh! (Oh we oh we oh) This will be awesome! I remember watching the Snowball Project and thinking those two will do really well together. I hope he goes for a lean/sparse arrangement so we see a side of Wendy that hasn't been seen since her SM Rookie days.
  21. OK, who gets Mirotic95's CD collection after the funeral? I have dibs on the Wendy pictures.
  22. I agree. I think that's the main difference between Bad Boy and Kingdom Come --- the former has a lower bar of admission to repeated listening. Kingdom Come is gorgeous, but I can see some people giving up on it after their first listen. Bay Boy is that rare song that's catchy enough on the first listen but sufficiently complex to reward repeated playbacks. And boy does it it have so many interesting little touches! For example, during the first pre-chorus (Wendy's "Dalla dodohan ...") the backing vocals don't come in all at once. They start one note (sounds like Joy) ahead of Wendy and build up the chord across the first word.
