what i saw was that most people did keep the same energy though (i saw the tweet you mentioned, but far more people were thinking opposite), at least on my tl everyone were going on about sending bighit messages and/or trending an informational post on weverse which is an app where bts interacts with fans.

Oh really? Well that's good to hear actually. I don't follow many armys, maybe like 2, so I saw the exact opposite and mostly people defending him and deflecting from the situation. I guess it really shows how a different a situation can be viewed depending on who you follow. :._.:

  2. Well, as you know, black people aren't a monolith group. There are things that one person will be okay with that another will have a different opinion about, and that's okay! What I saw from that whole fiasco was that people were not only mad about the gel twists (which if you look up on google images shows literally almost or only black people) but that the fandom didn't keep that same energy for their own artists when they basically harass other people for doing that same thing. (Not all of y'all just the loud vocal ones). And the fact that the op, who posted that gel twists tweet, used a video of black men getting their hair twisted to defend him when in reality it sort of just proved that it's really a black hairstyle. Not to mention the fact that non-black fans are using it to basically try and shut down anyone who feels differently about it because they can go and say "look a black army said it was okay so stfu". Like I said, one black person may see the twists as cultural appreciation, because the song has hip-hop origins and Hoseok wanted to show his appreciation for that culture, while another black person may see it cultural appropriation because the style, while not being dreadlocks, sort of mimics it or tries too look somewhat similar to a black hairstyle, something that doesn't belong to him or his own culture. And the thing is, why do you need to have a hairstyle that resembles a black persons hairstyle if you're doing a hip-hop song? You see what I mean? There's no one way to determine where it falls because everyone's opinion is different, and there's no right or wrong answer when it comes to this topic. Hopefully this helps, it's a tricky subject to deal with.

  3. anyone have recommendations for good digital art platforms?  i'm trying to make the transition from traditional art mediums (paper, canvas, etc) to digital but i'm kind of clueless :/

Idk if you still need art programs, but I recommend Paint Tool Sai (have been using for almost a decade), Krita, and Medibang.

I'd also recommend Clip Studio Paint, it costs money but they frequently have sales to where it's $20-$25.

    Naruto - Sasuke and Neji

    Bleach - Renji, Hisagi, Izuru

    Inuyasha - Sesshomaru

    Fruit's Basket - Yuki

    One Piece - Sanji
