  1. I'd like to hope people are actually going to change their ways instead of just posting platitudes before going back to their usual stream of posturing and abuse for fandom clout after this, but I sadly doubt it. I'm with you on this. Sulli was treated horribly - by international fans, many members of this forum included - for years, and now everyone is acting shocked that it actually had an affect on her.

last time I was deeply sad, now all I feel is anger

  2. aside from what others have said, I can't help but notice that overseas fans keep pointing the finger at Korea, at the Korean public, at "knetz" being "monsters." and maybe they are. plenty could stand to change in Korea and the k-pop industry.

but it feels like blame-shifting. overseas fans need to take responsibility too. we love to talk about how enlightened we are in comparison to Korean society but then turn around and treat people just as badly. every day there's some new inter-fandom controversy or battle over pointless bullshit.

are we going to pretend our own internet culture doesn't thrive on drama, bullying and harassment? not only of idols, but each other? obviously it does. we are no different from knetizens, we just like to pretend we're more enlightened because we're somehow not "burdened" by Korean culture and societal expectations. but it seems like we have plenty of our own already. a language barrier doesn't shield our attitude.

we are as bad, and we should feel bad about it. you just know international fandom is going to be back at each other's throats within days. and for what?

  3. how "shocked" and "surprised" are most people, really?

how did apparently nobody see this coming... again?

how long until people forget about this and go back to bullying and infighting like it's their day job?

how many more until fandom understands that they're a large part of the problem?

how long until fandom actually does something about its collective behaviour?

how many more will it take for people to examine their own words and actions instead of preaching and dispensing insincerities while it suits their own interests?

how many more until we all can no longer convince ourselves there was "nothing we could do?"

questions I wish I didn't already know the answers to.

  4. fandom's inability to process such news as anything but a chance to dispense their unsolicited opinion in order to make themselves feel better about who or what they like is part of the problem and this thread shows that. we are all guilty.

  6. got me a ticket for Nissan in the lottery... I feel so fortunate because many of my friends didn't win any. I dunno why I've been so fortunate with Bigeast lotteries so far but I won't question it. super pumped to go in June. my date is the first day, Friday

  7. The official tvxq t light stick can't be used because once resized (to a tiny square under our badges)

It cannot be seen as a T. I've tried it already that was why the unofficial t stick was chosen because that one you can see the t when resize since the T is thicker than the original t lightstick at tvxq's concert . You'll see what I mean if you resized it yourself.

It is still better to have an unofficial t than what mods have out right now which isn't even our decisiOn. I don't understand why they don't understand the mess of a fandom we have. They already allowed before so I don't understand why not now. Sigh.

And like the other person mentioned there is no connection with this current lightstick whatsoever.

ahhh that makes sense, the lightsticks are quite thin lol. I shoulda figured

I don't mind the unofficial T one in light of that either. I agree though the current one is totally unrelated and looks like an old fan-made one that wasn't in common use. I think someone just googled "TVXQ lightstick" and picked the first result basically...

  8. The old TVXQ one was T. I had it, so I remember. It just had a different connection.

Regardless, the one there is right now is ridiculous and as long as the Awards Team is being unreasonable, we're stuck with it.

We should insist on getting a proper lightstick.

I don't mean that one, the old lightstick item on the marketplace wasn't of the T-holder lightsticks, it was just a lightstick in the shape of a letter T with a design around it that I'm pretty sure was unofficial. I'd be cool with using the Bigeast style T-holder lightsticks tho

after Awards season is done we can ask them about it. I figure they're busy right now so it'd be best to wait til then

  9. Wait what? The awards team refused to accept the official lightstick because of this ancient one? Was it ever official even?

And btw, are we submitting the old T lightstic or the new diamond one? - They changed the holder that combines the 2 lightsticks, I think?

tbh I don't think either of the old lightstick pics were official lol. the official lightsticks are the Cassiopeia star (in Korea) and the T sticks (Japan) - either would be fine with me.

there are a lot of fanmade and unofficial lightsticks so I guess they just got used when they first made the items back in the day

  10. hello everyone

if the light stick is changed this round please include that too.

the light stick is a separate item, we'll have to get a marketplace request form for it. I'll try and grab one sometime and we can update it since the old one was never reinstated

  12. I nearly forgot - do y'all wanna change the Homin shipper badge too? If so I can ask for it to be included as part of the TVXQ badge voting rather than having a separate thing. would be easier imo. let me know either way
